Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location close to shops and restaurants.

We were a group of six spending a few days in Tokyo. We enjoyed our stay at the Daiichi but felt there were areas where it could improve.
The breakfast offerings felt more 3 star than five star and the quality was more canteen than restaurant: In the buffet restaurant, items often ran out and were slow to be replaced. In the continental, the service felt very rushed. This along with a lack of flexibility in the service reduced its star level feeling. For example, the hotel was unable to provide a packed breakfast for an early next day start. This shouldn’t have been a difficult ask for a small group and is something I have known hotels with lower star ratings to manage very successfully. So the general impression was one of style over substance.

classic deco and great room size in central Tokyo with a reasonable price.
4.7
The hotel has excellent service. The personnel is friendly and extremely well trained. The hotel is very well located. The entire hotel, however, is a little tired and deserves a spruce up. For instance, the wallpaper in our bedroom was peeling off the walls. The mattress could be more comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
4.7
The hotel is in good, easy to access area. Close to train station, lots of options around for food including Family Mart and 7 Eleven and not too far to walk to Shimbashi and Ginza areas.
Room was ok, not very big as expected for this high end hotel but still good considering is in middle of Tokyo. The carpet in the room could be replaced to be in line with the rest of the hotel which was very clean and nice. The bathroom was very clean and had everything you need. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options.
4.7
Good hotel but sligthly outdated. If you are into older hotels then there is nothong to complain about. Cleanliness could be improved, fllriendly staff.
4.7
A bit dated but service definitely is there and convenience is a plus. Near transit.
4.7
the conceirge ms ishii was excellent in helping me recover a bag that i left in the train..and reception was patient in allowing us to change rooms 2x cause of the train noise that bothered our sleep
4.7
Value for money, the Daii Ichi is a great hotel. The facilities are very comfortable and functional, and the staff is extremely well trained and helpful. Shimbashi is centrally located in Tokyo, with train and subway connections aplenty.

Great hotel for a long stay when visiting Tokyo. My partner and I started our honeymoon in Tokyo and couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. Room and bathroom were super spacious, clean and well equipped. We felt like at home for the week we were there. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Location was also ideal - so close to Ginza for shopping, great restaurants and convenience stores around, and many public transport lines connecting to anywhere you need to go in the city. I’d definitely stay when I visit Tokyo again.

8 night stay in tokyo. Great location, hotel is directly linked to Shinbashi station with underground tunnels, which is one stop from Tokyo station. Within 5 minutes walk to 24 hours udon (seto udon nishi) and dumplings restaurants. Took JR and local trains from Shinbashi station. Within 5 minutes walk to Ginza fir shopping. Hotel has gym next door with heated indoor pool. Will definitely stay there again.

Very good service, great room, very helpful staff. Excellent location as well. Definitely recommend

A very convenient location, 5min walk from Shimbashi Stn, also direct train from Haneda Airport.
Walk to Ginza is also near, plenty of eateries around the area.
The room is clean and spacious with full toiletries daily.

5th time visiting Japan.
Best hotel in my experience.
Including customer service and room service, etc.

Older classy style, well kept, staff very helpful and as always in Japan very polite.
Central and eazy to travel around Tokyo from.

clean room, nice staff, good location.

Close to everything else in Tokyo. There is an underground passageway to the closest station, nice to have as it allows you to ignore weather conditions.

Very amazing and all the staffs very professional.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Ginza district.. this hotel is the place to go. The people working here are amazing, kind, and respectful. The hotel was beautiful and clean. And so many places to eat and shops walking distance!!! I will come back

One of the first times I’ve stayed in an international hotel & I can not say enough good things about Daiichi Hotel. The staff is so kind & respectful and I had no major issues communicating with them. They were very attentive. The hotel itself was also very clean & stocked everyday with all the essentials. It’s also a 5 minute walk to the subway station which made is super convenient to go shopping & exploring Tokyo. Definitely recommend!
4.7
A good hotel with it's own entrance to Shimbashi Station. The station is also within easy walking distance as well as bars and restaurants. The staff were excellent and arranged the transfer of my luggage ( 3 medium suitcases and a small carryon case) from the hotel to my hotel in Osaka for just under 10k yen. Didn't dine in so can't comment the available options. The room was big as was the bathroom which had a bath and a walk-in shower. The staff were polite and very helpful.
4.7
The hotel is a perfect one with great location, quality service and nice environment. A hotel that you would love to go back in the future.
4.7
Only complaint is noise from JR train which runs by hotel.
4.7
Wonderful hotel, very clean and neat
Close to Jr with a underground passage
and I can see Tokyo tower from my room directly

Daiichi was a really nice hotel in the Ginza area of Tokyo. It was a bit fancy for my typical taste, but I did appreciate that fanciness in the room, so it balanced out. I slept so well, buckwheat and memory foam pillows and excellent mattresses. The concierge was not as helpful as other Japanese hotels, but we managed. The in room amenities were top notch and the view from the room was amazing. I did not eat at the hotel as it was quite expensive and too formal. The amount of five star restaurants in the area made it a non issue though. This was the PERFECT location. Walkable to Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace AND the Tokyo Tower and Zojo Ji Temple. The Ginza area also has a lot of great shopping. This hotel was in a nice quiet and safe area with a 7-11, Family Mart and Lawsons all within a 2-3 minute walk. Location, location, location… I would note that the pool is fee based and it was in a gym across the street. I opted not to use it since it was so inconvenient and that is why I rated the facilities lower.

friendly staff.

In general, rooms are big and staff are extremely polite. Hotel is a bit old when it comes to renovation but it’s acceptable.
I have booked two rooms thru Expedia. One room with one King size bed and the system asks me for two names, so I put down my wife and my daughter’s name. One with two beds and the system asks me for one name, so I put down mine.
When I check in, the hotel says they cannot give me two keys for the room with two beds because I only provide one name. I have to pay extra money ($15.00 Canadian dollars) at the front counter so I can provide my son’s name before I can get two keys.
WIFI Internet is extremely slow in our rooms, both of them are on 20th floor.
Check out time is 12 pm and I ask whether I can check out at 1 pm. The staff says it’s possible only if I pay about $200.00 Canadian dollars for each room.

Perfect location, large room, good amenities, subway communication on B1 is unbelievable. Easy in sunny or rainy day!!! 1000’s restaurants around.
4.7
Need updates and the steak tapan yaki restaurant waiter who welcome us was a little rude, but the hotel staff were very professional
4.7
Wonderful staff and exceptional facilities
4.7
This hotel is located near everything! Love the area but there is no place to sit and relax. The reception area has seating only for it’s eateries and you can never eat or drink anywhere unless you are in your room or in a restaurant.
4.7
Very elegant ambience and nice and helpful staff
4.7
Property was nice the room is smaller than what was shown on Expedia and or we got a different level of room than what was booked. I think we booked superior room and they gave us basic. The laundry price was different than what I thought so be careful it was 1500 yen but I thought for a load of laundry but it was 1500 per item so that was a big cost,
4.7
Great location with close transport links and choice of local restaurants. Hotel was fabulous but maybe needs up dated just tad.
Over all we were delighted with our choice of hitel. Bedroom had a great view and was a decent size with a large bathroom which was important as there were 3 of us sharing as our teenage son was with us.
