As we went to check in, we learned that the little apt. That was assigned to us had some issue with water leakage so the staff accommodated us at a different hotel which turned out fantastic.

The property was NOT what was described and the pictures did NOT depict the Unit that we stayed in. Our unit was very dated, paint peeling off cabinets, no bedspread, rusty shower curtain, moldy chairs to name a few. The biggest issue was that the unit did not have WIFI, even though it was stated several times in the listing that it was available. This made it very difficult for me to work. When I attempted to resolve the issue with Travelocity, they pointed the finger at Outrigger, who pointed back at Travelocity. I am very disappointed with Travelocitys response (or lack of) in trying to resolve this issue. Outrigger knows this Unit does NOT have wifi, or cable television as Travelocity markets.

Lae Nani overall was great. We loved being on the beach. The bid downside was the dirty dishes in the cupboard. Our unit needs a new dishwasher. Most of the glasses had hard chunks of food on them. Other than that we really loved our stay at lae Nani. Beautiful property.

When we checked in, we were told we had to check in at another facility, Waipouli Beach Resort, because the owner of the unit we reserved decided to occupy it. The alternate unit was exceptional and would recommend it instead of Lea Nani, which I understand does not have air conditioning. While the Waipouli Resort was an upgrade, it would have been nice to get a notice ahead of time of this change. If owners rent out their units, they should not be allowed to just change their mind to make the unit unavailable at the last minute.

Great condo in a lovely quiet area of Kauai. Thank you!

Great property and location. The grounds are immaculate and the condos are well equipped; easy parking, super quiet and beautiful beach.

Overall it was awesome. But two Big simple things to fix though: the fold-out sofa bed is absolutely horrible. The mattress, the Springs everything. Maybe if they could just throw a simple cheap foam mattress on there, it would make a big difference. And the only other thing is the sheets on the main bad are not fitted and are very very hard. Nice fitted soft sheets are super cheap

The condition of this property is terrible: broken sofa in the living room, rusty lamps, dirty carpet, broken kitchen cabinets, no wifi, no landry(you'll need to pay for landromat on the property). That was worst condo we've ever been to. There is a pretty beach in front, but be ready to be confronted by angry drunk locals who like to come there and throw fishing poles just where your kids are swimming. Because hawaii are theirs, so they can do anything. Be ready to be told "get the f**k out of hawaii" Horrible experience. I think the management has to think about safety of the customers more.

The gardens are magnificent. The colors are amazing and all the plants are well tended to. The swimming pool was sparkling clean. There is an excellent restaurant on the beach just next door. The Coconut Marketplace is only a block away and offers groceries, takeaway food and boutique shopping.

Very comfortable but the furnishings were a bit tired. Very nice bed, though. Lots of ocean breeze through the condo kept things cool.

Close proximity to the beach. But room was dirty, fans didn't work, furniture was filthy

Rugs were stained and ripped near the door. Had the handyman up to fix the kitchen faucet, sliding screen, tub drain and tv.

We spent 2 hours looking for the location! No signage was not told about gate codes ect. The units are very old and dirty! No blankets on the bed no a/c! Stains on carpets, construction noise everywhere! We checked out the next morning and moved properties.

Having the ocean so close was nice and security was great,
very private resort

The condo was absolutely dissatisfactory as it was run down, smelly and highly overpriced. There was no WIFI. We were also offended at having to pay an additional $200 cleaning fee after only having stayed 3 nights. Property itself was very good.

The condo had fuzzy mold/mildew around kitchen and bedroom windows, mildew all over back of bedroom drapes, bathroom tub completely stopped up and when we plunged it black stuff came back up drain and more.

Condo was a little dated but clean and comfortable. Easy access to a small beach and lovely gardens. Did not really like the immediate neighbourhood and would not stay in that area again. Facilities provided were fine.

We booked Lae Nani last minute just before Christmas as we decided to take a trip to Kauai.
Positives:
+ Nice view of the ocean, close to beach
+ Nice grounds, well maintained and pleasant looking
+ Clean rooms and comfortable
Negatives:
- Bath tub was looking a bit dirty. It wasn't nice and white, but had yellow/brown stains. Not sure if it's just dirty or stained from a lot of use. Regardless, didn't look nice.
- No internet available.
- We booked an ocean front room but I wouldn't call our room ocean front as you still had to walk a good 70 meters to get to the beach. If anything, it's probably an ocean view - I expected ocean front to be right on the ocean.
We paid around $240 per night (inc. taxes), plus $90 cleaning fee which ends up to be around $270/night (we booked 3 nights). In my opinion, not necessarily the best value but it's a nice place.
Overall, would rate 3.5 stars but Hotel.com doesn't allow half stars.

Got a condo with ocean view and reasonably furnished kitchen as promised. Rooms are maintained very well. Internet was not available in the both the condos we stayed in the one week we stayed. One of them had a modem but the hotel staff could not get the security code from the condo owner. Cleaning is done only after someone checks out from the condo for which nan additional amount was charged which was of course mentioned in Expedia's hotel information. Very quite location, no A/C only fans bur in the winter AC is not required. We were able to make our own breakfast and some minimum cooking which was very useful. Overall enjoyed the stay.

The Lae Nani was an add on to our 1 week stay on the North Shore. We could not have made a better pick! We were traveling with our daughter's family including a 3 &.8 year old. We were upgraded to a "ocean view" room and were literally 2 units away from the pool. The beach was just a lovely lawned area down from the pool with it's own walled in kid area and perfect body surfing spot adjacent. What fun for a 60 something who hasn't been body surfing this century. Lots of happy families enjoying the property. Also convenient to stores and restaurants. These Units may show a little wear but make you feel at home right away - if your home happened to be on a beautiful slice of Paradise.

Beautiful view over looking the ocean. The gardens and grounds very well maintained and clean. Appreciated the security men each night walking the complex. I liked the close proximity to shopping and restaurants. i would definitely stay there again.

Twelve family members stayed at the Lae Nani Resort for periods ranging from one week up to three weeks. We were generally very happy with the beautiful location right by the beach, the convenient pool and the excellent layout of the suites. We were able to request and be given a ground floor room for our elderly members although there were a few stairs to our door, which turned out to be navigable. All rooms were spacious, the showers were easy to use and had plenty of water. When we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness of the suites. However, daily upkeep was not really up to standard. We were not happy with the lack of care in vacuuming, polishing of glass table tops, refilling of used up shampoo, etc., although all staff members were very pleasant. This was our only problem, and we did not attempt to get better service, so others may have better luck. We still would stay at this resort again if we have the opportunity, and recommend it to others.

What a shame that in this lovely setting I only lasted less than an hour. I had a horrible allergic reaction to either a strong chemical or perhaps fleas. I had to get up and leave and try to find somewhere else to stay. I was only there for just about an hour.
Also, the room was roasting when I got there, put my bag upstairs, no elevator or assistance to the 3rd floor. I opened all windows and the slider, went to have dinner and came back to a continuing roasting room.
In addition, no Wifi. Could have lived with that, but not the red, blotchy. itchy legs and feet!

We stayed in a 2-bedroom end unit. The rooms were large with comfortable furniture, and the kitchen had modern appliances and lots of dishes. Our unit had no AC, but with ceiling fans in every room we were comfortable enough. We did see some units with window ACs, if you really need it chilly. Housekeeping brought fresh towels (including a separate set of beach towels) every day.
We had a phenomenal view of the ocean from our unit. Noise from other units was low enough we felt like it was just us and the ocean.
The beach just outside our unit is a little small, but great for kids; there's a breakwater-protected shallow area, and the beach next to it is partially protected so our kids could body board safely.
Easy walking distance to Coconut Marketplace (a collection of shops and food, including fish-n-chips, BBQ, and grill). Supermarkets, restaurants, and fast food are a short drive away.
We'd definitely stay here again.

We love this location. We have stayed in several of the units and their condition does vary. But overall the area and the staff are wonderful.

Rooms a bit dated, but very clean none the less, staff friendly.
You need a car, the Japaneese resteraunt Kintaro just a minutes walk away aswell as a good mexican and pizza place if you can't be bothered to cook. Coconut Marketplace next door (Don't Bother)
If you need supplies go to foodland and get a loyalty card valid at bag and save as well several island location.
Good base for travelling, More expensive condos on the north shore but worth it.
This place would be a lot better if rooms updated otherwise good value.

This was the perfect place to unwind and lie back and relax. We could watch our kids play at the beach from our balcony about 15 metres away. Turtles swim at the end of the beach and we saw a monk seal swim into the beach one day. The grounds are well kept, staff friendly and helpful. The condo's are an older style, but, everything was there, it was like a home away from home - the kitchen was adequately supplied with everything if you want to self cater. It was clean, neat, tidy and very spacious. The balcony was a very good size. We would go back in an instant. Ideally located but very quiet and peaceful.

The owner of our unit needs to put some money into it. The bed, and hideaway
bed were the most uncomfortable beds I have slept in a long time.
The carpets were filthy.

We were in unit 322 and loved it. A white dove greeted us on the deck on the first morning. We did not feed it, as requested by management. Access was reasonable and service was very good. The lovely pool was handy to our unit and the beach was very close too. We used the provided gas grilles to cook one night by the pool. The grounds were well kept. The unit is an older one but well kept. The main room stereo and master bedroom television were very nice. There is no air conditioning but the multiple ceiling fans worked well at this time of year (January). The deck screen door needs a bit of maintenance but was not a big problem. Altogether, with the location and convenience, we enjoyed it very much.

It was nice having a condo even though we didn't use the kitchen or living room. Kauai is such a beautiful place we were gone all day and came back to the room and slept. Having a condo made coming home much more inviting than a normal hotel room. The room we stayed in, 221, could use some updating, but the view was amazing. We stayed at the Kona Coast Resort on the Big Island last year. Lae Nani was comparable. The view at Lae Nani was perfect. Ocean with a mountain backdrop and the view at Kona Coast was of a golf course. The only thing that would have made this trip perfect was more hot water. You can only shower for two minutes before the water cools down. And I would also have liked a washer and dryer. When your constantly in salt water and sand it's nice to be able to launder your clothes in your apartment. Overall the trip and Lae Nani was great. For the price I would suggest it.
