Amazing!

We were in town for Pax and had an excellent stay at the Notary. The location, the building, the bar, the room, the food, the staff - all excellent!
5.0
Beautiful property right at the heart of the city. Elegant and sophisticated, classic marble and lovely embellishments. The restaurant and bar are quaint. Apparently there is a library at the property. Rooms are great. Well appointed and comfortable. Some really neat touches on the journey of someone staying there. Right near some shopping.options, Reading Terminal and Market, and across the street from City Hall. Tons of food options. In December they surround city hall with a winter holiday thing including a small ice skateing rink. Definately would come back.

The hotel charges for internet - that’s a bad surprise. The lobby is so ugly. The breakfast restaurant is bad and overpriced. The location is very good. The bedroom is fairly big.

We booked for two nights via the hotels App, but things came up and could only stay for one night. We were told we will still be charged for two nights. Later found out I got charged on wifi and had to call Bonvoy to cancel the charge. We were not informed to provide Marriott Bonvoy membership to use WIFI, but were only told hotel WIFI has no password.

The hotel was clean, cleverly decorated for the theme, & the room was large & attractive. The bed was small, a double. Would have liked a queen. The sink was large & very shallow, making it difficult to use and leaving no room on the counter for toiletries bags. Otherwise, we liked it.

We loved our 4-night stay at Notary Hotel! We walked to Reading Terminal Market, we took the subway to the Eagles game and we did two college tours.

Good hotel. Friendly staff. Charged me a $50 early checkin fee and caught cleaning staff going into my room before I even checked out after breakfast

We had an amazing time! I brought my husband there to celebrate his birthday weekend and this hotel hit the mark! This is our second time at the Autograph and we were not disappointed. We will be back!
5.0
The Notary is an elegant, luxurious hotel, with interesting historical touches. The room was incredibly clean, linens were crisp and pressed. I also really enjoyed the layout of the bathroom as the sink and makeup area were separate from the shower room so 2 people could get ready at once and the mirror never fogged up. The products were also lovely and it's great when they have large sizes on the wall in the shower so you don't have to throw away hundreds of little plastic bottles. Overall a fantastic stay!

Great hotel for access to Philadelphia runs, including Philadelphia Distance Run and Philadelphia marathon weekend.

Enjoyed my stay

It was amazing! The staff was friendly. The ease of check in was great. I wish my check in host boasted more about what the hotel had to offer. I was genuinely excited to stay at the property. I will be back.

Location is the best, hotel is in good condition.

The room of okay. Front desk was helpful at check-in. Valet poor customer.

A very nice hotel in the middle of the city. Rooms are large and modern. Restaurant is very good. Reasonably priced. Definitely use again.

Staff was excellent and extremely helpful but the property did not measure up to autograph standards. There was peeling paint on the ceiling of the shower in addition to a hard stain/burn on the carpet. My junior suite was awkwardly arranged such as very little closet space and poor lighting.
8.0
Location great!! Easy check in, valet good but slightly pricey. Room was nice, could be a little cleaner but nice for a busy hotel. No problems at all and would stay again if back in Philly.

The entire staff was kind, accommodating, and most importantly professional.

its a really nice stay, the room was cozy and clean. the hotel itself was beautiful.

We arrived to Philadelphia on an early flight around 11am, and both of our rooms were ready and available to check in, making it super convenient for us. Check in was very easy. The restaurant and lobby bar had excellent options. The Notary was very walkable and in a great spot in center city. We only used the subway once to go to a concert, otherwise we walked everywhere!
10.0
Unique building and decor.
Didn’t use staff services much but very affable & polite from valets to registration staff. Right at center. Ongoing construction in surrounding block but did not cause excess noise and not noticeable in hotel.

The hotel is excellent. My only gripe is the parking fee. Over $70 per night is exorbitant. It doesn't matter to me that they have to use a third party parking facility or what the prevailing rate is for parking in the city. A Silver Elite member should get a break from such a ripoff. There was nothing about my stay that reflected my membership status. Even the Elite desk was not open during our stay.

This was beyond my expectations. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The rooms were impecable and smelled amazing. Definitely will be coming back here

This is a wonderful hotel. City government is working hard to clean up Center City. They are working hard to revitalize the area after the Pandemic. I was in the lobby sitting at 0500 - lovely lobby - hotel guests coming and going safely and others walking the streets. This was comforting to see. I’m coming back in November, to enjoy dining and the arts. Thank you

Great staff always attentive and welcoming!

Front desk people not very helpful. Room was not ready at arrival. Was told they would call me once ready. Never received a call then when I arrived approximately 11pm doors were locked front desk two people saw me pulling the door trying to get in just stood there then finally when my husband came in with our bags they decided to come to assist. Rude front desk clerks seem as they don’t like to do their job.

The hotel was nice enough and the staff was friendly. The bed wasn’t super comfortable and there was a loud high pitch noise coming (I think) from the AC. I asked guest services to come take a look at it and they never did.

paid for upgrade and all it was for the upgrade was a handicap room with some vue .loud traffic noise do to poor insulation

This was a very nice and elegant hotel! We had friends in town and wanted a mutual spot in the city that was easy for us to walk around downtown from. The beds were comfy and the rooms were very inviting. My only suggestion is a better sliding shower door. Ours kept opening during showers which resulted in water all over the floor and us holding the door closed with one foot or a rag. Other than that, I’d definitely book this hotel again for just a staycation in the city.

Fire alarms and not able to get in all doors of the hotel with our key.

We had a great time in Philadelphia and this beautiful property played a large role! This hotel is a beautiful, historic building! Our room was very clean, the staff were all very hospitable, but Dorian was fab! He called us by name, checked on our visit when he saw us, and had great suggestions for the local venues!

Hotel was clean and very accommodating, lots of room for big groups to gather

Outstanding stay walking distance from many historical locations. Would totally stay there again.

The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and well positioned within the city. The front desk attendant was quite lackluster during check-in (Sunday morning 5am), but attendants during check-out (Monday 10am) were very professional.

It was a great experience, staff was very courteous and helpful central location for dining. We will definitely be going back.

The hotel was beautiful. We loved the history. The room was quiet and the beds were really comfortable. We didn’t love the barn door to the bathroom, but what can you do? The location was great and just a short walk to everything we wanted to do. Reading Terminal Market is less than a block away from the back door, so we ate all of our meals there.
