It was nice but for the price tag I would expect luxury experience. It was not that. If I had paid $250 a night I would have been more than satisfied.

Central location downtown Philly. Busy hotel. Kids friendly bowling alley in the hotel. Near to food market. Greta stay.

I stayed 5 nights for a conference. Great location and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The only downsides were that my room was right by an elevator, and I could hear people out in the hall and in the room next door. Also, there are a lot of homeless people right outside, but I could avoid by using the skywalks to cross the street. The bar is convenient but expensive - my glass of “red wine” was $26 (before tip) and was served in a dirty glass.

The staff was exceptional in every way. The view from our room was terrible and food ordered to room was not great

It was OK for my business trip. The walls are thin, I could hear my neighbor really loud when coughing or using the restroom. When walking the halls I could hear someone snoring really loud. So thin walls, very loud to by the bar during the evening. Service was good, people at the restaurant and the little store were very nice and accommodating.

The pool was disgusting. The TV in our living room did not work and the hotel did not fix it. The suites are set apart from the main hotel so you have a long walk to exit and to pool and dining from the rooms.

Nice hotel but in need of a refresh. Our Bonvoy account wasn’t working with the WiFi so we just hotspotted with my phone. $12 a day for WiFi access is ridiculous otherwise.

Excellent services from front desk, housekeeping, Market and bell desk and concierge. Bonus is the Reading Terminal is just across the street.

Enjoyable stay except for the pack of unsupervised kids riding the elevators and running around. They were having fun, though.
Room was very nice. TV didn’t work well and windows were very dirty. Everything else was very good.
5.0
This hotel was very clean and the beds/sheets were very comfortable.
I also loved the location! It was right across from the Reading Market and Jefferson Station. You could also walk easily walk to China town, a movie theater, cvs, city hall, and a mall!!! My daughter and I even walked to the liberty bell which was a little further (about a fifteen minute walk) but not bad. The Love Park was also walkable distance. On our way back from the live park we stopped by the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts…which had I nice little store.
I loved the location of this hotel. I would definitely stay there again!

we were really disappointed with No room makeup by the housekeeping. Upon checking with the reception they told us that we had to inform them about the service otherise they don't do. This is absolutely unacceptable from a top brand of hotels....we were really let down.

The stay was wonderful. In Philly to meet up with old friends. I did arrive on a day that there was game 1 of NLDS Mets vs Philly. So the city was jam packed and took 45 minutes just to get into Valet my car at the hotel. But other than that stay and amenities were great!!

The water pressure was terrible in the shower, the sink facet didn't run well, and wi-fi did NOT work in our room even after my hilton honors and room numbes.

Valet was not attentive and non communicating when we arrived. We paid $60 for valet and wifi and valet could not stop leaning against the wall. We we thinking we would have to bring
our own bags in but then finally bellhop came and he agreed valet was terrible. Front desk people were nice and accomodating. The next day went to straighten out the bedding and the blanket was deplorable. Expedia did not deduct 1 dime but they did get the hotel to drop their charges. I feel expedia should have done more with their charge and the hotel needs room inspections from the health department

Great location. Not great parking. Was quoted different priced for valet, as it is the only option on hotel grounds. Across the street chsrges $48. Very high for a short stay.

Loved it’s location near the Reading Terminal Market

Staff manager at 2am shift was very helpful to get us a king size bed which I had asked for. Another staff member was saying she is not able to and was giving me 2 double beds which I didn’t want.

In a tourist area but felt safe, check in was easy, room basic but clean and worth the price for the night that I stayed.

Good location in terms of getting around but lots of homeless people and drug addicts around.

This was a beautiful hotel with a nice salt water swimming pool and very helpful staff. They bring new meaning to “service with a smile”. We would definitely stay here again

There was an emergency in the building and my children were afraid and wanted to leave , I was still charged for a night I didn’t use which I find is poor customer service and I will not be coming back to Marriott hotels.

Biggest cockroach I ever seen in my life. I have a video of it and all they did was offer me free breakfast why in the hell would I eat breakfast at a place that had cockroaches? They told me that there’s nothing they can do about it. I will never go back to this facility ever again, my poor wife couldn’t fall asleep. Wouldn’t even use the bathroom we had no rest and had to drive home the next day. I’ve been in countless hotels, and I have never experienced one as dirty and unaccommodating as this one.
Honestly, I would have rather slept in my car.

Overall this is a great hotel, close to all the historal sites. Plenty of food options around. Park across the street in the parking garage not hotel parking to crowded.

Good place at the heart of the city

Nice hotel and staffs. Somewhat disappointed by the amount of hiccups experienced - starting with the room given, the door key was not working. It was finally resolved after I went down to the front desk back and forth 3 times. When checking out, it seems like only one elevator was working. Waited for over 15 minutes for the elevator to come. Would’ve given a one star but the staffs were really kind and helpful.

This was a nice hotel except I found a roach in the bathroom. They were very sorry and did give me some points for the inconvenience. I hate to see bugs in hotels. Makes me not want to stay in them!!

Bed sheets had stains. Requested change, stated no housing keeping on staff at this time . Offer room change instead. Spoke to manager was not friendly. Long story short hotel staff did change the bed sheets of 2nd room that I was moved to

The listed address for property is 1201 Market Street. You cannot access the property from Market Street-you have to go to Filbert Street. This information is not provided on the website. I looked. I planned on Using the hotels Valet Parking. I drove around for 20 minutes before finally parking off site. I did save $30.00. Staff were helpful and the rooms were spacious.

I like the proximity to the convention center and the ease of access to center city. Good dining options and amenities.

before Covid I was a frequent guest at various Marriotts
it was my go to hotel do to excellent service and guaranteed cleanliness. The last time I stayed at the downtown (before covid) I was very impressed with location, cleanliness, and the bedding was so great that I tried to replicate it at home. This visit had me shaking my head at things like a FILTHY carpet with old gum spot, old corking in bathroom, and a REALLY unsafe area around the hotel. The positive was that every single employee I encountered, were warm, polite, helpful, and professional.

Inside and outside had some beat-up parts needing maintenance or upgrade… see furniture in bathroom, halls, elevator; shower was weird; coffee shop prices were ridiculous; good spacious lobby; nice sizable room and comfy beds.

Nice, convenient stay for a conference next door!
