While some of the area was under renovation, it did not affect the quality of our stay. The best part was the unbelievable service we received when checking in. They were super attentive to the needs of my child and tried their best to find some snacks that she could enjoy. The cookies were super delicious and much needed after a long drive. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The area has plenty of options for food. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is staying in the Richmond area

Customer service was wonderful. The hotel lobby is under a renovation and the staff was doing all it could to make everyone's stay as comfortable as could be. I look forward to seeing the finished product.

DoubleTree hotels have a great reputation. The location we stayed in looked like it was once a great hotel. However, even though it was undergoing a renovation on certain areas, the renovated rooms (which we stayed in) were done so in a fairly shoddy manner. When you’re staying in a 3-star hotel or above, you expect to see more attention to detail. This hotel seemed like it was struggling to meet that expectation.
The friendly hotel staff moved us out of our first room because it was dirty, and the whole floor (6th) smelled like pet urine or something similar. Our new room was on the 7th floor, and the atmosphere was much better. The lighting was brighter, the smell was very clean, and we could tell it had recently been renovated. As mentioned before, our room was clean overall, but it seemed like many parts of our room (mainly bathroom) needed to be redone. Also, our room door was crooked, so it didn’t shut easily, and there was a gap in the top of the door frame because of it. Still worked, but just an observation.
Overall, our stay was good, as we had a comfortable and clean bed to sleep on, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We just expected much more from a higher end hotel, especially for the price we paid.
Thank you for allowing me to voice my feedback!

Overall a good stay. Very nice front desk staff!
The lobby construction was a little chaotic when we were trying to leave as the workers had blocked the door with a big piece of machinery & that would be my only complaint
1.5
The construction is slowing down the use of the elevator…there’s only one in operating 😬

My stay was a nightmare with no access to any amenities hotel was under construction walls were stripped workers using heavy machinery my kids was scared and I want a refund and was denied

It was ok, but hotel was under construction for renovations so the lobby was a mess, services limited & not at all worth as much as what we charged for!

Was not made aware that the hotel was in the middle of a massive renovation or that it parking was a $10 until checking in.
Front desk staff was super nice and professional , room was clean

We were here for my wedding. My husband received a room that was not cleaned and had to go back down stairs. The only compensation received was a food voucher of some sort. The manager told me that all rooms came with a pullout couch and this was not so. We purchased two rooms and neither had a pullout couch, let alone a couch. They did have a chair in which my brother slept in. My children slept on one bed, my husbands family member slept on the other bed and my husband slept on the floor. I normally have no issues with my stay, but this time was quite different.

Nice comfortable hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel and bedrooms clean and well equipped. Bedrooms nice but in need of freshening up (although work was underway on several floors in hotel so this might be underway).
No noise or disruption at all from the ongoing work.
Would stay there again.

My stay was great, but unfortunately my Grandmother Dementia went into play and she was disturbing other guest late at night so we had to leave. The night manager Thomas was very patient and understanding but he had to protect the other guest which I totally understood. This hotel staff and security is great! The breakfast buffet had a variety of things was great. The Restuarant staff also wonderful. Pool area great. This hotel I give 10/10 you will be pleased!

We were in town to attend a funeral for a family member and were shocked at the dilapidated condition of the hotel. The property is apparently about to undergo a major and overdue renovation. The hallways were dated and dingy, with tape over the elevator button on our floor. The room itself was also very dated, with old, gross carpet, a finicky toilet, dirty windows you couldn’t see out of, and scuffed walls. We found bugs (small roaches?) in the bathtub the first night and on the walls our second night. The room rates were way too high for the inferior appearance at this hotel. We expected much better accommodations for $200 a night.
The only bright spot in our stay was the staff. We arrived after the Crowdstrike fiasco and were unable to get room keys due to the computer malfunction for the entirety of our stay. A member of the staff was always able to escort us to our room when we returned to the hotel, and they were very nice whenever we had any interactions.

The hotel itself seemed a bit on the older side, room we were in was musty but was at least clean and comfortable. Staff overall was friendly and helpful. Parking was $10 a night and breakfast $18 a person for the buffet.

Property was average but staff friendliness brought the experience up. Close to everything with the mall less than a mile away and lots of food options and shopping.

The staff has been great especially the man that checked us in when we car in. He saw my parents had some mobility issues and suggested a ground floor room and We loved it. We absolutely loved the chocolate cookies of course as well.

I never leave reviews for any place but I have to for this one. Both rooms smelled like moldy carpet and the bathrooms were constantly humid as the vents did not work well. The duvets that they hide in between the two flat sheets on the bed were cleary dirty and had not been washed for a while. We just eneded up taking them off and putting them to the side. We had to buy air fresheners for both rooms which only helped slightly. The bathrooms looked as if the humidity and a build up of dirt had accumulated over time on the base molds which was gross. One of the staff memebers in the cafe had an attitude and seemed to be bothered that we asked qustions about the $18 per plate breakfast buffet. We ended up talking to some other very nice staff members including the cook who were so kind. When the person who was initially annoyed tried to chime in, we just ignored her. I would not stay here again. More so becaise of the condition of the rooms.

Hotel was nice. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good. One of the elevators was down and the hotel was busy, so that was an inconvenience. I would stay again.
