Very nice room. Everything was clean and smelled welcoming. Front desk service was wonderful. Breakfast was great except for on the day we checked out, there was no breakfast which was annoying. It’s a very charming hotel.

This was a nice hotel, comfy bed and pillows, had the best shower ever! But there is no one at the desk after 6pm, so we got the key from the mailbox. Just coffee, juice, muffins and yogurt for breakfast. Our room was cold when we arrived. And we could hear traffic and smell smoke the whole time. I’m not sure if the smoke was from the fires in town or if it was coming from someone else’s room. I would have liked a microwave if not in our room, out in the lobby to heat up my coffee

Great hotel in beautiful Marblehead. Easy access to Salem and Marblehead downtown. Highly recommended

Nice comfortable stay. Nice place in nice area. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
3.0
Nice place but Room 5 that we stayed in was noisy with both road noise and heating system outlet under window.
Lighting in the room was either super bright or difficult to control.

We had a very nice time with our stay at The Hotel Marblehead. Enjoyed the small plate breakfast provided each morning. The only issues we were with Wi-Fi. Could not connect my cellphone to the Wi-Fi. I was told there is a known issue with phones that use Verizon service. This issue needs to be corrected. Also had issue that I could not connect to Wi-Fi from my laptop in my room. Signal strength was good. I could connect my computer to Wi-Fi in the hotel lobby. Minor inconvenience but was able use my laptop for the tasks I need to do with the Wi-Fi connected while working in the lobby.

What a wonderful surprise! We booked this hotel very last minute and it was a lovely stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing that I would change is a more full breakfast.

Very hard and uncomfortable mattress and a showerhead that produced a stream the thickness of a pencil

Staff was great and helpful. Small plate breakfast and coffee delicious. My only criticisms are: a large stain on the carpet in my room that looked like it had unsuccessfully been worked on and the buzzing of the overhead light in my room.

The staff was late setting out breakfast. Ignored us in the lobby while we were waiting for the breakfast service. It was completely empty when we arrived which felt somewhat unsafe.

We came down on a Friday and left on Sunday. Hosts was great and well informed. We had a nice patio to sit at. I was a bit surprised of the lack of a trash can aside from the bathroom. The patio curtains didn't really block out the light so sleeping in wasn't an option. We loved how close this place was to Salem and yet nice and quiet. Thank you for having us.

Nice hotel, 3 miles from downtown Salem. The room was not vacuumed but everything else was fine. It’s a historic property which is always interesting. They serve breakfast, it’s simple but appreciated. This is our 2nd stay here, I would recommend a visit.

The hotel was clean.
Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However there was no space to sit with a laptop or to eat anything.
Hotel staff when they were present were friendly.
WiFi did not work well. For most of the time it did not work at all and when it "worked" it was not very good i.e. during a zoom call it dropped out many times. The hotel is not staffed 24 hours so when issues came up there was no one to resolve them.

Nice overnight stay from Boston on the way to Maine. Scenic and quiet. Clean and modern room with large bathroom and comfortable bed. Easy after hours check in.

If you are looking for a clean, quiet and comfortable room for an overnight stay, this is a good choice.

To use the shower you had to climb into a slippery jacuzzi tub which had no grab bars and got even worse with the use of soap. When we arrived the tv didn’t work and had to be reprogrammed, but the staff left at 6pm. Breakfast was excellent the first morning, but the second day not so good.

It was exactly as described! Perfect in every way. Breakfast was light and a wonderful way to start our day, the Atomic coffee was delicious. Room was fantastic, customer service was top notch. If we are ever in the area again, we will be back for sure!

We had an early flight to catch from Logan but all the hotels in the city were 3x the regular price. We ended up choosing to stay a bit outside the city and had such great luck to discover this beautiful property with such great service and amenities- and the drive into the airport was a breeze. The views were stunning on the drive in at sunset and leaving at sunrise - it was a short stay but we enjoyed it immensely. Will definitely come back to spend some time in this quiet hamlet on the beach!

Great quote place to stay for a couple, cosy outdoor area. Short drive to Salem and within distance to travel for day trip to Boston

Beautiful architecture
6.0
On the plus side: Super comfortable bed, excellent quality pillows, sheets and mattress. Hip, well-decorated room (brick wall, bookshelves etc.) Nice breakfast - not super substantial, but fresh fruit salad, homemade devilled eggs, etc.
On the minus: No sound insulation- could hear person snoring in next room, could hear every word of people's conversations in common space outside my door. At breakfast, no music/atmosphere - have to listen to people's conversations in echoing space with no rugs.
Location, very far from anything - no shops, restaurants, nothing to eat at hotel aside from breakfast (no snacks, vending machine, anything.) Bit of a desolate area- need a car to get around.

What a wonderful find this beautiful inn was! Incredibly kind staff with infinite knowledge of the area. Room was perfectly apportioned and quiet with the most comfortable hotel bed/pillows I’ve ever experienced. Breakfast was different and terrific every morning and the coffee was fresh and A . Wine glasses and corkscrew was a lovely touch.

The hotel Marblehead is a lovely quaint hotel. We stayed there for 2 nights and were planning to be in the Massachusetts area as well as drive into Boston on the full day that we were there. It is definitely a good drive into Boston but for one day, it totally works since the area of Marblehead is super nice. The hotel is quiet, clean, the rooms are super nice and the people are super great and accommodating. My only thing is that we came at quite a hot time and there were no AC’s in the room. When we called the front desk about it, they said that they closed at 6 and couldn’t do anything till the morning. The next day, we got a room change to supposedly a room with an AC but came back to a thermostat that had no battery. We were given a fan though during the day that worked and was enough but I would just say that there needs to be a system set up for after hours. It doesn’t need to be for everyone, just for the guests staying in the hotel to be more accommodated.

The historical ambiance was unique and fun, and the location was convenient to numerous sites of interest. The cost was more affordable than some other area hotels offering the same or less uniqueness.

This was a nice option for a quiet short stay. The hotel is farther from the town center than is ideal for walking, but is very conveniently located for driving jaunts to Salem, Gloucester and beyond. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. (We were given an upgrade which is very appreciated!) The room was very comfortable and well-appointed.

Hotel Marblehead was a delightful surprise. There was only a few guests the night we stayed. We enjoyed the common room with fireplace all to ourselves. My friend and I did craft projects on the couch, by the fireplace, and chatted all evening long. It was lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable! The breakfast bar was simple, but fresh and delicious. Marblehead, especially the historic district was a treat to visit. We will definitely be back.
