I booked the penthouse expecting a luxurious stay but was quite disappointed. The furniture looked outdated, and there was no bathtub or fridge in the room, which I had expected. The overall service at the hotel was subpar. They required extra steps just to get breakfast through a QR code system, which was frustrating – especially since I booked a package with breakfast included. I didn’t expect to spend extra time doing bookings for something that should be simple. To make things worse, the receptionist was dismissive when I inquired about a room with a bathtub, which was shown in the Hotels.com photos when I made the reservation. I won’t be staying here again.

The hotel needs a refresher to be up to todays standard. Funky smell in the reception area and breakfast almost like sewage. Might be temporary, but I was there for 3 nights and it was there during all my stay.

For an American the rooms are a little different than I am use to. A shower on a tile floor in the bathroom and narrow beds but nothing to complain about. The breakfast and staff were excellent.

Convenient location. Hotel itself seems a bit old. Room was clean upon arrival, but as we would request cleaning, the sheets were never changed under our 8 days stay and the cleaner forgot her cleaning rags in the room more than once. The room itself is not designed with comfort in mind and decor is outdated for a hotel splat middle of Gothenburg. Breakfast was not bad, but always the same. All and all I would give this place a 7 out of 10.

Quite dated. No fridge or minibar, which should be the norm on this level. The sofa-bed was in no way fit for adult even if it was sold as such. The sofa had a lot of white stains on it and I don’t even want to think about what those were. Tha ventiltion didn’t work and worked too well at the same time giving me a cold

The third bed for child was a little uncomfortable, the hotel provided mattress topper to improve the comfort. It made it a little better, overall the stay was lovely, good location, and clean.

Family of 4 with kids - 12 & 14yr. Kids loved the bunkbed in the family room, and family room was same price as a regular room! :-) Free Welcome drink for the kids was appreciated! Staff was friendly and breakfast was impressive, so much to choose between including healthy options. And beautiful view of Avenuen from the breakfast lounge! Nice decor and great rooftop. We will be staying here next summer as well for sure! Can’t beat the location either, right in the heart of everything at Avenuen. Thank you!

The service was really really good. Everyone in the staff was kind and friendly. We travelled with a child and he got a free beverage in the bar upon arrival and during dinner they came out with drawing supply's. Even in the breakfast area there was a play area. I highly recommend this hotel to families.

- Good location and friendly staff - Bathroom felt dated - Carpets in corridors in need of replacement/cleaning - Asked for the room to be cleaned every day but one day we only got new towels without the cleaning (beds not made etc.) - Safe not working (spent batteries?) NOT RECOMMNEDED Unfortunately, this is my worst stay, we didn't see any smile on any staff in this hotel from the receptionists to the hotel staff (NONE), literally they have no idea about being in the front line of a business. we have asked for room service to clean the room and surprisingly we got back to the hotel after 6 hours, and yet no did anything, until we went down and reminded them, of which they said they will "try" to do it in the next couple of hours, of course we asked for the duty manager and also there was no one available to handle the customer issues, of which we asked for immediate room service and they came just changing the bed sheets. VERY Disappointing
