great location and lovely hotel, 4 in a room and with more than enough space and very clean.

Arrived back from a night out at 11pm to find my keycard didn’t work.
No lightbulbs in some lamps.
Shower was tiny and also went from cold to scalding intermittently.
Wont be returning.

Nice hotel, really clean, comfy bed. Could do with updating bathrooms but overall great hotel for price. Really helpful and friendly staff

So, we checked in and got upgraded, sounds like a bonus, however the room we got upgraded to one of the old rooms, yes this was bigger but had a heavily stained curtains and worn carpet and cracked tiles in the bathroom
This was changed to another room of the same poor standard.
Eventually I asked to be downgraded to the a room we had stayed at before and this was better,
No bar or food facility’s available at my stay today because of a private event.
But what annoys me so much about this whole service is that prior I was pestered to pay for upgrades (3 emails) and within 5 hours of leaving I was asked 3 times to review the hotel!! It’s borderline harassment
In short I think I’m done with this hotel. It used to hold sentimental value with me but now i think it’s time to move on

Great location. Good sized rooms and we parked over the road so all was very good. No issues at all and we would return.

Lovely hotel and great location

It was a genuinely pleasant hotel to stay in. It's located centrally to the area I was visiting and is within perfect walking distance to the nearby shopping and attractions as well as the canal street and bars. The rooms were very clean and I have never had such a great room and bathroom, for both commodities and layout. The only let down was the window wouldn't open and the Aircon wouldn't go below 17°c which made for some warm nights.

I have stayed before, it's a great hotel for the right money and the staff are excellent

Room looked quite nice but a few things just made it feel poor quality.
Windows didn’t open stick or painted shut.
Tv wasn’t smart tv. Water took ages to get hot, bath had marks on it.
Overall it was ok but average at best

Discussed that after paying for an executive king room upgrade it was merely two single beds and mattresses pushed together with nothing more than a topper. Not even a king mattress on two bases. So basically paid extra for a twin with the beds pushed together

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. We found the room size to be comfortable. The table & chairs is a nice touch if you were planning on eating in your room.
The bed was really comfortable. The pillows I struggled with, but that’s a personal preference I guess.
Unfortunately because it’s a grade 2 listed building, we didn’t sleep well at all. The windows are only single panes & so even with the windows closed in the bedroom, there was a constant traffic noise all night. Buses, bin wagons & sirens.
That wouldn’t put us off returning, I’d just make sure to have earplugs if I stayed again.
We also had a little issue with the water in our shower. On the first evening it was great. The first morning it was only like warm. The second evening & second morning were also hit & miss as it didn’t seem to hold its temperature.
The location was perfect for exploring Manchester. Literally 5 minutes walk to Oxford Road station. You’ve all the different areas within a quick walk, so restaurants & bars are all so easy to get too. Location alone we’d happily return for.
One thing that we did pick up on - the reception staff. On arrival we had a nice welcome. But walking through the reception on a morning or throughout the day - we were never greeted with a ‘Good Morning’ or ‘Good Evening’. On check out, we weren’t asked if we’d had a comfortable stay, if everything was okay etc. It’s basic hospitality etiquette that was a shame to be missing.
Despite the little niggles we would return

Professional friendly staff and a fabulous large suite with complimentary mini bar
Beautiful huge bathroom and comfortable large bed. The lounge area was clean and very spacious. The only criticism being the sofa and furnishings were a little tired. First time staying but would definitely return

Right in the centre of Manchester (so parking is expensive) great for restaurants, bars, sight seeing.

Overall a comfortable stay. The rooms are large and spacious and you get a tub in the bathroom which is great. The room was mostly clean, just a few specks on the sheets that were missed when washing. The carpet could also do with replacing as it is a bit dated. For the price point and location though this is a good place to spend a couple of nights if you need to be in the centre of manchester

Hotel is in an old building.
Rooms are a little dated in atyle and windows need a good clean.room was dusty on top of plugs etc.
Couldn't get the hand soap and shampoo to work *surely this should be checked*
Positives: Bed was comfy, free can of water.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a 10 minute walk from Piccadilly or Oxford Road stations. Room was very spacious, bathroom looked refurbed and was very clean. Very good shower. Free Wifi. Street facing room which could be a little noisy from traffic and late night drinkers.

The hotel is classified as 4*, but in my opinion is a 3* based on the services provided and the fact that is a bit outdated. Despite this, the room was clean, good sized and amenities provided. There were some issues with the bathtub fixtures, but I used the shower instead. The bathroom was great, good size and had a shower cubicle and a bathtub. The breakfast was very good, not expensive, and the staff very helpful. The hotel is very well positioned, close to public transport, restaurants, cafés, and attractions. Overall I am very pleased with it and I recommend for short stays.

Good price and good room size with two larger double beds and a larger bathroom

Some of the staff was excellent like Paris in the bar and her collegue (a man from latvia that i didnt catch the name of). Other was unwilling to help us. We aske for a quilt or even an extra sheet but according to the man in the reception they didnt have any. Our friends on the other hand got one, so it seems strange that a hotel of this size only had one extra. When we asked for help to make a reservation at a restaurant they didnt want o help us because "they might ask for details". The breakfast was also not very good, with overcooked eggs and uncooked bacon. Hower the location is great nearby the gay village.

Enjoyed staying here was perfect for shopping especially the Arndale Centre.
Close to Trams. 15 mins walk to the AO Arena.
Hotel was friendly, helpful and clean. Our room was very big perfect for 3 adults sharing.
I found the road noise intrusive but live in the countryside so not used to it. My ear plugs sorted that out on the second night

Nice clean hotel, comfortable rooms with great service and staff
A little noisy late on at the back side of the hotel but they have installed a secondary glazing in an attempt to reduce this
Would definitely stay again

Great location, but with that comes the expense of parking. Yes, it's available, but not at the hotel. I paid just over £100 for just over 3 days at a very handy carpark just over the way. Breakfast was good. Staff good. Room average. Particularly naff was the TV which was small with a fading picture. It wouldn't stop me staying there again though

Smelled of smoke, old hotel, nice amenities and bed but there’s better out there

The description of this hotel was impressive but unfortunately did not much when checked in.
Carpet in all three rooms was stained, toilet in one of the rooms was not flashed.
It very disappointing as the hotel rooms were expensive.
On checking out staff never asked about our experience or any feedback on staying in this hotel. Very disappointing 😔

Good hotel, breakfast was good but scrambled eggs and bacon was only ok.
Room very spacious, amazing bathroom
Friendly staff
