It seems this hotel is being renovated. Some things are new and wonderful (including the showerhead); others old and problematic. The bolt on my door didn't work, nor did the blow-dryer. The toilet clanks when one sits and both the desk chair and the mattress felt like a block of wood. The walls desperately need painting but the linens are very nice. So for the price it's fine, but not great.

ok. But little to high price

Too many people live there dirty and smelked

My smoke free room smelt HORRIBLE. Like 50 people had been smoking in there. Even the pillows and sheets smelt like cigarettes. The tv didn’t work. The lobby was terribly decorated.

Property needs renovation. Mattress was extremely dirty, hole in ceiling in bathroom, floor was dirty, comforters were dirty and worn out. Checked in and checked right back out.

Our AC wasn’t working. I checked into the room and it was 90 degrees in the room. I turned on the AC and reloaded the kids up to go eat while the room cooled down. We came back a while later and it was still 90 with no air blowing out of the unit. I called the front desk and no one come after an hour. My son walked down to the lobby to let them know that it’s still not working. The lady said it’s because we are leaving our door open and letting all the cold air out. I did open the door waiting on maintenance because it was a sauna in the room and with the door open the temperature dropped to 77 since it was raining outside. Final an hour after that the maintenance man showed up and without looking at the AC he told me it’s because the door was open. I shut the door to show him how hot it gets and immediately the thermostat started moving into the 80’s. He messed around with the unit for a minute and put it on the exact same settings I had it on and he told me that I had the heater on but now it’s on the AC. We let it run for a minute and then it completely stopped again. I loaded up my kids and dogs and left. My dogs were in destress and my kids were sweating. They tried not to give me a refund but once I threaten the vet bill they finally gave me a refund. There are people there that live there and they sleep with their doors open with fans at the door blowing air into the room.

The property is a great value for the price. It’s in a convenient place, close to everything and the owners are so friendly and helpful. We arrived before check in time but our room was ready and we were given our keys with no hassle. It is an older property but our room was exceptionally clean.

It was a nice stay with no complaints. The staff was friendly and the location was convenient for us. I’d definitely stay again.

Amazing staff and clean rooms

This property was awful. People live here with dogs & cats and it stinks horribly. 2 large dogs & a puppy in a room and they put us right above them. The smell was horrendous. It was July 4th week and we couldn't find anywhere else so we were stuck! The full time renters take up all the parking spaces with multiple vehicles that don't run, one was even on blocks. The large U Haul truck in the back with a chair beside it and the grocery carts suggests they're allowing vagrants to stay in the parking lot as well. I can't help but wonder if these people are charged for sleeping in the parking lot! The screaming, yelling and fighting in the parking lot at 3 am is indicative of drug use! I have multiple pictures of everything I've claimed here and hope that Expedia will reach out and ask for them!!! I can back up every allegation I've made! Don't book this hotel, you will wish you hadn't.

For a 1 night stay for a wedding it wasn't that bad. No breakfast for the price you paid. Owners lived on premises. Teenager kids were in the pool that lived there for years. Very friendly.

I had to go to the front desk at 5 AM to get towels, clothes, and soap to shower. The sheets had stains. It was a last minute trip and the location to downtown Dahlonega is great.

Hotel is in a nice and convenient place in Dahlonega. The staff at front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Just wish they would update the rooms and provide daily maid service.

This hotel might have been good the first day it opened. Long term folks there. Room had clothes in drawer when we checked in. Hole in walls and ceiling in shower coming down. Only stayed here because of pet friendly. Very rough place!

A nice hotel reasonably priced in a nice town.

I did not like the fact my room smelt like cigars due to residents living there, after 5 am the breakfast was not open or if at all. The lady at tge counter was nice. Pool was not open

The area around the property very clean, the room very presentable and clean.

Good place to stay when motorcycle riding

The hotel itself was okay (as in you get what you pay for, so no complaints there). But it was clear some people were actually living there, and despite most of the rooms being non-smoking, I could smell smoke when I was in my room. Also somewhat noisy. Staff was very friendly though.

Very nice overall

TV connection was not good and only a few channels available. Beds were comfy. Hotel was fine for an overnight stay.

I liked the location. I didn't like that their breakfast bar was closed.

Definitely get what you pay for. $65 a night was very accurate for the cleanliness and amenities and services.

The room itself was nice. The bed was clean, and the motel was in a good location. However, the room reeked of cigarette smoke. I almost couldn't handle it. For a non-smoking room, it needs to be aired out or something. The TV didn't work, but for about 3 channels, the others skipped out and said no signal. With as much as I paid for this room, I definitely expected more. I will not ever stay here again. For the price, stay somewhere better!

The property was close to downtown, easy to get to, and the manager went out of her way to take care of us.

Clean simple room. Beds were comfortable. Convenient to downtown

This is a basic motel that I have stayed at for years. Nice people running it. Great location with a view of the mountains. Rooms are in good shape. Negative is that people smoke like crazy outside their rooms.

Quiet and remote.

Property advertised that it had breakfast - no breakfast was available - management said that they were renovating

It is an older hotel but upgrades are being done. The price was good, quiet location and just minutes to the town center.

Hotel was dirty. The non smoking room had a terrible smoke smell.

Room was very clean and was exactly how described. Bathroom could have been bigger but was managable. Bed was regular innerspring mattress and was OK but could have been better

Pictures on line were not accurate. Vehicles were parked in the parking lot with missing body parts, under repair and sitting on concrete blocks. Entire area smelled like cigarette smoke including our room. Guess I shouldn't rely on "Truth in advertising" any more considering the lack of morals for the entire country.

Hotel no way matched the description on hotels. Com website. No one should be working the front desk if they are unable to do the simplest things like check in & check out. Was not even able to get a receipt when I checked out because the lady barely spoke English and didn't know how to do it. Outside of hotel was dirty and uninviting as was the room. The bed sheets had stains and didn't fit the bed properly. For a pet friendly hotel there was no designated area for your pet to go.
Would not have stayed at all except for the cancelation policy.
Will not stay again and advise other travelers not to either.

Trouble when we arrived as I booked online and front desk person said the company had overbooked and to call them next time to reserve. Comforters in nonsmoking rook had mutiple cigarette burns. Sheets were stained. No light in lamp and the front desk made the maintenance man go get a "new" lamp in that was covered in dust. No coffee maker. No tissue. Sink area was dusty. The only good thing was the maintenance man. He did fix the television that wasnt working.

My review is based on my honest opinion. We stayed here from 10/14 - 10/16/2023. Here are what I think of the room.
1) It smells like mold and musky inside the room. The wall heater/ac was filthy. It looks like the filter has not been cleaned for years. So, just to not smell the mold, we turned it off and not used it for the duration of our stay. We did not asked to be move because the front desk said that they are FULLY booked. I highly doubt it because there were only less than 7 vehicles.
2) The carpet was dirty too.
3) The pillows are very uncomfortable and the sheets are not soft..
4) Noise - not so much until a guest arrive driving a Harley then you'll wake up.
I had to drink a sleeping pill just so I can knock myself out and not have to think how uncomfortable and stinky the place was. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. If it's cheap, it is for a reason.

Hotel is a little outdated and in need of some renovation, but great otherwise. Friendly staff, clean rooms, reasonable price and conveniently located.
