Receptionist were very helpful.
Very steep stairs to enter hotel. No elevator. Very difficult to manage luggage and navigate stairs.
Room basic, bed comfortable

Don't stay here unless you're ready to lug all gear up several flights of steep stairways. Yes, it's inexpensive and worked in a pinch. Not a 3-star hotel in my book. There is a bar & restaurant in the basement, so some may like that. Set against steep slope of mountain. Mammoth lift adjacent. Parking tricky on busy nights due to food establishment onsite.

It is OK for an overnight. They need to repair or change jacuzzi! It is very old and electric cables are visible in the water. We didn’t feel that comfortable. Rest was OK.

Was definitely dated, which could jave been ok. TV didnt work, tho we got a new one day 2. Room was not cleaned well at all...outdoor spa broke day 2, so we never got to use it. Sebastian, the manager was great. Katy in the restaurant was great. Food was fantastic.

No lights to illuminate the stairs leaving the entrance at 5:30am. Very unsafe.

Sweet little gem, close to hiking and biking. Quiet and cozy. nice hot tub!

Dated hotel. Perhaps we got the oldest room. Dirty carpet. Noisy room - could hear the neighbor's TV all night. Water took about 5 min to get hot. Not even a place to sit for the grab and go "continental breakfast" The on-site restaurant smelled delicious when we arrived.

The condo that we had very cozy and cute. Definitely will come back and rebook one of those condo again.

This is a ski lodge in Austrian motif. Place old but well kept. Front desk was very helpful and friendly. Good value by Mammoth standards. We visited in summer for first time. Lots activities. We enjoyed and would come back.

They didn't have elevator.

The room was spacious and up to date. It had some charm that you don't find in a franchise hotel. The "continental breakfast" left something to be desired. No cereal, milk or OJ. You have to walk a long set of stairs to get up to the registration desk level.

Convenient location

The toilet is too small even for an average person like me. Also, there is a leak in the lavatory.

The stay was OK. The TV set up was impossible to use and the staff had no clue how to help with it. Couldn't get regular news, or CNN

Friendly and professional staff, comfortable room.

Average hotel, no restaurant, seemed pricy as well- carried away looking at the photos. Even though breakfast was included, they had muffins, eggs and other stuffs to go in their lobby. No elevator, furniture; bedding & carpet seemed very old & musty.

Close to airport , good food, comfortable beds

Older hotel that the hot water heater didn’t work in the 1st room. Then we were moved into a second room the TV remote didn’t work. The alarm clock was broken.
But the biggest problem was the restaurant. We purchased the German dinner for 2 at a cost of $82.00 and the meal was gross. Everything was cooked in the same pan and everything tasted the same.
I would highly recommend staying somewhere else. This hotel puts a grab and go breakfast starting at 8:00 am. The small 2 cup coffee pot was dirty and still had the old coffee in it.

I would not recommend this hotel for older adults or those without young children. We had a room on the first floor where there were children running and screaming in the halls, running up and down the stairs until after ten at night. When I told the young man at the front desk about it, he said it sounds like they were just having fun. He did move us to the third floor where he guaranteed it would be quieter so we took our luggage up the three flights of stairs (no elevator) expecting to get a quiet night's sleep, however, they booked the room next door with loud children again who would looking in our window. Needless to say, our stay there was disappointing.

We had limited choices for hotel room that night so we ended up with this property. Booked it on line and choose the deluxe queen room which super small and hard to get around in. The DYI corner shower was cramped as well. Nothing in this room was deluxe. The price was ridiculously high for these accommodations. If you can’t do stairs, this place is not for you.

Only option for the breakfast was yogurt/muffins and coffee and the quantity is very very limited. If you are not one of the few in line, you will not get anything.
The carpets in the room are dirty and filthy and we saw bugs and spiders in the room and we even clicked pics and made videos.

Our stay was perfect. The hotel had just the right amenities for us and the location was ideal for the hiking trips we were doing. Plus there was a bar and restaurant at the bottom floor. Overall, the hotel accommodations were perfect for us!

The air conditioner was not working and we called the front desk and a nice guy came up and tried a couple of things but couldn’t figure it out. Went to dinner and came back and there was another guy working the front desk so I brought it to his attention. He came to the room and said the light switch needed to be on. Really? SMH. I told him he needed to let that first guy know so he’s aware.

The staff was awful
5.0 / 10.0
We saw this hotel had a rating in the 7s, but our (king) bed was very comfortable and the fireplace worked great. The front desk staff were helpful. If you’re expecting a resort upscale stay, this isn’t it, but we came for a hiking trip and every day when we stopped in for a refresh the room was very nicely cleaned. The furniture is very basic (the 2 chairs weren’t super comfortable but were fine, and the bed was extremely comfortable- I chose to sit on the bed to eat my “grab n go” breakfast).
The lodge seems to be an older building which has been re-done (again, not fancy or impressive), but it’s clean and comfortable. It’s also right across from some of the ski lifts (canyon lodge?) and you can take the free gondola to “the village” (the local shopping/dining outdoor mall) which gives you a view of the valley (only runs in the mornings). So if you want fancy, this isn’t for you, but if you just want a comfy bed, hot shower, view of the mtns and a place to pit-stop while enjoying nature, this place checks the boxes. 👍

What a great find! I came up for Pond Skim Weekend and enjoyed a fantastic dinner two nights in a row! I will book this place again! Very convenient and the best bar in Mammoth! Thank you!!!

Quite close to Canyon lodge. Food was excellent and so were the servers

Great hotel close to canyon lodge. The hotel room is dated but does give a cozy mountain cabin feel. The main attraction is how close it is to canyon lodge so you can just walk there in the morning for first tracks. The bar and restaurant are also huge pluses with great food and drinks.
