Difficult to get to the hotel without a car - especially with luggage. The bus stop, while "nearby", requires a steep climb either via stairs or their long driveway. The hotel does not have lifts and it requires another trek to get to the rooms. The beach is down the same steps, and even further down. The hotel should have shouldered the cost of the beach lounger given their rates are not cheap. Mediocre breakfast, which they did not make an effort for - but guess what? You have no choice as you need to trek to get to a place to eat. No free shuttle to town during the day - only at night. The rooms are beautiful, but this does not compensate for all the other issues.

Horrible experience, I don't recommend it. Hotel with zero accessibility and does not offer help with luggage. I booked a room with a king bed and we were placed in a room with two single beds. There's no point in complaining that they didn't solve it, they said it was just a matter of putting the beds together. Weak breakfast and restaurant with non-Chinese food. I placed an order at the restaurant and there was no specific accompaniment and they exchanged it for another without consulting me and even charged an extra difference. My wife had a massage at the hotel and I was forced to go to reception to pay, all the services you put on the room bill to pay at checkout and the massage was not. They say there is a beach structure with transport, but when I asked, they told me to walk and it was only 10 minutes away. And when I get there I can't get a table, since they have to be paid for and have to be reserved with plenty of time on the app, being open to the public so they are hardly available. And finally, I booked a transfer to the airport and at the time I didn't have a car and they explained that I was 10 minutes late, even though there was no warning. I had to order a taxi and almost missed my flight. Worst experience.

We had a bad start with a no show transfer but the staff were amazing by generously making up for the mistake with complimentary dinner and wine - this turned a negative into a positive and we were very appreciative.

We were extremely disappointed The property , I am sure , in iits day , was stunning. However it is now ready for a complete revamp
1) No elevator ?? We were on the 6 th floor We found this bizarre Travellers arriving with luggage after a gruelling trip to get to Skiathos, have to schlep from the parking lot to the room. We were told by a stafff member that the elevators were removed in order to make more rooms to increase revenue. - enough said !
2) Atmosphere as you walk in to lobby is very dark and dull and the front desk staff are too Not very welcoming or accommodating
3) Air Conditioning - In a warm environment , this was the only property I found in the area that had no air conditioning in the entrance , halls and common areas. Very unpleasant
4) Rooms. Tiny rooms / shower was broken and took a full day to repair a small part after we reported it at 8 am - Air condition in the room was very weak
5 ) Service. - The room beside us had a used partially eaten tray of room service food lying outside their door , on two occasions , for at least eight hours , attracting flies and smelling the already musky corridor out Not good to look at either
6) Corridors and common areas were sprayed every day with a very pungent air deodorizer , I assume to mask other odours. Very unpleasant
7) Breakfast - We could not eat breakfast at all as the dining area was infested with flies covering the exposed food inside the dining buffet area as well as at the tables.

Best view on the island! Staff very very focused on hospitality. Was such a welcome relief to stay here for r n r after a few weeks of traveling n feeling very tired. If elderly or mobility problem just be aware many stairs and no lift

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and beautiful grounds, in a great location.
Room was a bit basic, but clean and tidy.
Food was very good and the free bus to town a nice touch, although late both times (must be Greek time) we booked this.
Also hired a couple of quads from Aegean near Reception.
All in all everything was good.

The property was beautiful, quiet and very accommodating to my wife and I. Anything needed or requested was handled by the staff quickly and appropriately. Definitely 5 star hotel with all amenities needed. The staff were the nicest people in Athens who made us feel special. If you are thinking about staying here, book your room now you will not be disappointed.

We spent a week here in August 2023 for our family summer holiday. The hotel is lovely and staff were really helpful. It is a short walk to two beaches (2 minutes and 5 minutes) and they also have a free daily shuttle to and from both the beaches and Skiathos town. It is a 25 minute bus ride to the town, which has lots of lovely restaurants, especially along the port. If you get off at bus stop 4 (the hotel is bus stop 22) and walk down to the port, you get to see the lovely back streets.
Just be aware that the hotel doesn’t have a lift and there are also lots of stairs down to the bus stop and to the beach, so if you have mobility issues the hotel maybe tricky. All in all it was a lovely stay and I recommended booking the Mama Mia boat tour at the hotel, even if you aren’t a fan of the movie, it’s a lovely day out (adults cost €40 each and €25 for a child).

Staff are very friendly and hospitable, Hotel’s free shuttle service to drop off and pick up from and to the port is very convenient. I love Greek people. The clear turquoise water of the many beaches around is stunningly beautiful. I would definitely would like to come back.

An incredible hotel, very plush and beautiful surroundings. The views are to die for. Right next to 2 beaches and on the bus route to skiathos town. We would love to stay again.

Our stay at the Skiathos palace hotel was lovely and would definitely go again. We had organised transfers to and from the airport which was very easy to do over a couple of emails. After being checked in we were pleased to find out that we’d be given a free upgrade! We were able to have some food and made our way to the room.The room was tidy and the view was great looking over the bay. Food wise you can expect a traditional buffet style with choices of salad/starters and deserts.There is a pool bar throughout the day, where you can order salads, sandwiches, burgers etc. Unfortunately the other restaurant was being renovated at the time so didn’t get to try that.The hotel is located right outside the number 22 bus stop, was very easy to catch the bus into town or back to the hotel (there’s only one route) as well as the shuttle that runs in-between their sister hotel on the harbour. The pool area was a good size although probably a little more cramped I imagine come peak summer season. So would advice getting in early. The sun is available all day from up there so I wouldn’t worry too much about what spot you get. Towels can be got from the gift shop each day, which was a nice bonus.Only downside was the lack of fitness facilities and entertainment in the evening. Would have been nice to have used the great big and lovely lounge more for people to watch a band or something.If you are planning on going to the beach as well it’s €20 per umbrella.

I would have liked a tea/coffee making facility in the room. However there was a fridge for cold drinks. The hotel was very good. Clean, wonderful views. Very attentive staff and 2 excellent beaches nearby. The hotel pool was good with the bonus of a friendly lifeguard

Advantages:
• Well equipped, daily cared big hotel with parking space;
• Overall nice & friendly personnel;
• Great small beach that can be reached on feet through a path with stairs (Marathas beach);
• Proximity to Koukounaries beach (car still needed to go);
• Very good bed, nice view though balcony could be bigger, good flat screen TV, great bathroom.
What can be improved:
• Though Marathas beach facilities are provided by the hotel, they make their guests pay 10€ for a ser of 2 sunbeds - this is unacceptable from a 4☆ hotel!!
• Overall the hotel is not very cozy but rather impersonal;
• Wi-Fi is not secured;
• Breakfast is not good quality, orange juice is not freshly squeezed, the overall quality of breakfast is low (equivalent to a 2☆ hotel);
• Room service is also poor, we asked for breakfast in the room and it was messy/late/things that arrived was not exactly what we asked for.

This is a good quality hotel in an excellent location overlooking Kookanaries Bay , the rooms and pool area are very good.The reception staff were all excellent , very friendly and helpful.The pool bar and restaurant staff were however neither friendly or helpful which seemed to be the view of most people staying there and this is a negative factor.

We spent only one night in this hotel, as we landed in Skyathos too late to catch the ferry for Skopelos. We decided to stay there because it is literally on the top of the most famous beach of Skyathos. Even if the hotel is too big and with too many guests for my taste, we had a very good experience

Hotel has amazing views and a nice pool area however in general run down and the rooms were dirty. After complaining about state of rooms the cleaning service got worse some days no cleaned rooms and had to ask for clean sheets after several days and then they were left on bed for us to change ourselves and they were the wrong size.

The hotel is in an excellent location and in the most beautiful area of the island but there are a lot of improvements in the service of the hotel. They squeeze my family in a very small room, not changing the towels everyday, no shampoo/shower gels everyday, no power plugs for everyone etc... all the amenities were very expensive and nothing free from the hotel.

Amazing stay in Skiathos at Skiathos Palace hotel. Feels like in Laguna Beach - California with great services and room upgrade. We are having vacations in Skiathos since 2007 (not every year) and this was best place in Skiathos. When we will came back in Skiathos, for sure we will stay here. Special thanks to Irini for wine and fruits.

Stunning location, beautiful pool area, great food and drinks (although quite pricey) and the whole place smells divine thanks to the herbs and flowers around the gardens

Nice hotel and location but no lifts and by end of one week steps and stairs became a bit tiresome. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Excellent courtesy room to use after you have checked out and need to freshen up before travelling home. Maratha beach is beautiful and beach bar staff very polite, nothing too much trouble.
