We had a loft room, only a roof skylight. We left before breakfast. Reception area smelt bad, but room was clean and no bad smells.

Felt that for the money this hotel was disappointing. We were greeted by a smell of overcooked cabbage in the reception area. The check in staff were pleasant and easy to check in.
The room was small and only one socket to either plug in the TV or kettle, not both at the same time. The road was noisy so couldn’t open the window.
Location was good for the ferry but this is the only positive I could find.
4.0
Close to the ferry terminal. Large room. Clean and quiet.

It was OK for one night stay but room was small and bed lumpy with awful pillows. View over industrial units with bright lights all night. Staff were polite and helpful and breakfast was OK, but restaurant was noisy.

Stayed here 2 years ago and it hasn't really changed. I thought it was brilliant then and no reason to change my mind. Very, friendly and welcoming staff, everywhere was immaculate, my single ensuite room was amazing. Plenty of free car parking as well. Buffet breakfast choice was second to none and cooked food plentiful, hot and fresh. For other meals the menu choice was good and also included a Carvery, every night from 1700. Really good food. I will be staying again when I visit Stornoway next year!

Only one issue! I booked this over 6 months ago and ended up in a room very far from the front desk and we were close to a “recycling?” Place that dumped bottles all night, very noisy. Other than that it was a pleasure and extremely convenient to the ferry and town. I would stay there again but not in room 11.

Quick overnight stay while in Stornaway on business
We arrived late so didn’t sample dinner however we ate at the sister hotel restaurant HS1 which was good
Quick friendly checkin and good standard of room and bathroom
Breakfast good choice
Hotel receipt emailed same day. Big chains take note 😀

Filthy, tiny room.

Good basic inn style accommodation. Staff was very accommodating and made the stay excellent.

Was visiting family in Stornaway, the hotel was fine but I thought it was a bit pricey.
2.0
Basic hotel but everything you need for a short stay. Food was ok, service was ok etc.
2.0
Room was on the small side, especially the bathroom. But location was very convenient, staff were very nice, and breakfast was fine. Overall it was a good choice.

Fairly dated but clean

Lovely staff, great location for exploring and getting on the ferry. Excellent food.
2.5
Great room and great service. Easy walk to just about anywhere in Stornoway. The front desk was very accommodating and helped us extend the stay for an additional night.

Had a lovely visit and hope to return one day.

Lovely place!

Room price did not reflect quality. Single beds matresses needed replacing. Duvets were worn out but clean. Room provided the very basics but at £200 plus is extortion.
4.0
Superb staff spotlessly clean but as close to port was noisy and a little tired. Bed very comfortable. Staff doing what they can with the building they have got. Pride in their work.
2.0
Comfortable, although our bedroom looked out onto an area with what sounded like a generator on and off all night! Very clean and tidy and breakfast was good. Restaurant area was a bit refectory like though. Convenient area

I had a single room overlooking what appears to be an outdoor storage space of the hotel. The room itself was clean with basic amenities. However, it was very noisy at night. I could hear the air conditioning (located right outside the window) all night, and hear people go in and out of their rooms. It is fine for a short stay. The hotel and restaurant staff are all very helpful.

Cheap room but had everything you needed. the Hotel was undergoing some redecoration works but slept well and hot breakfast

Front desk staff was super helpful and kind, rooms were clean and comfortable, especially the room with disability access. Restaurant was good, had breakfast and lunch, satisfying. Easy to walk into downtown Stornaway- just a couple blocks. Also a short 5 minute walk to ferry terminal- we pulled our luggage with no trouble. Very comfortable.

Room and bathroom were fine but could hear a lot of noise and felt very overlooked by rooms opposite. also junk area below when looking out of window which wasn't nice.

The heating was not working properly and the room was freezing.
Complained to reception and was told they had two heaters ,but unfortunately they had been given to other guests.
Offered to send up some blankets to wrap ourselves up with.
Not very good.

Very nice comfortable stay. Room was clean and food good.

Couldn’t see out of the central window pane.

Maybe I made a mistake but I thought I'd booked a double room with a double bed. We got an accessible room with twin beds and a disabled persons bathroom! However the beds were comfortable and the room was clean, tidy and warm. The food on offer was very good, with a massive choice at breakfast, and the evening restaurant also provided either an al a carte menu or carvery/buffet style hot food. The staff were a mixed bag. One gentleman was very friendly and we chatted for some time about Lewis and local attractions etc. Others were perhaps too busy and we had to ask for a few things like milk for our tea, juice glasses, salt and pepper etc. On site parking was very good. Overall we enjoyed our stay despite the shortcomings.

Everything was nice. Staff was very accommodating. Wasn't aware it was a handicap room.... Floor flooded from the shower and the shower head would not stay up high, kept sliding down... Had to keep pushing it up... Great location

This is a 3 star hotel but it has a fabulous restaurant. Lovely friendly staff. And great service.
I stayed 3 nights in June 2023. Had a lovely double room. Buffet breakfast was good.
Bar area is small but well stocked.
