All round good hotel and the pool was definitely a plus , only think was not good was you have to go to the supermarket for your loo roll you can’t buy it from the hotel which I found uncomfortable asking about x

We had a pleasant week at La Rochelle's Pierre et Vacances. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped, the residency is well located, the staff members were all professional and friendly and we loved having daily access to the pool.
We had a few very hot nights (we visited during a heatwave) but apart from that, we had a great stay.

Good location, clean and tidy hotel

The hotel is Very beautiful, close to the port of La Rochelle! Value for money!

when we got to the hotel room the bath itself was very unclean/dirty and looked like it was not cleaned at all, holes in the pillow case, cups, spoons, plates and any kitchen utensils etc.
Right when going to the pool beside shower area the water from the shower stays 3 days up and who ever wants to go to the pool or outside has to go trough the dirty water and then go in the pool.

No air con or fan so very hot in summer. No one serviced the room for the week I was there. Very unhelpful front desk staff. Room is a good size and good value for money. Nice area.

Lovely location

Nice staff, nice swimming pool, location good to the heritage site and stores.

Internet included did not work except for very short periods. Customer service would tell me they will fix, but the situation did not change even after several daily complaints. NO AC at 37C they did not even help finding fans...

This hotel is very well located. Close to a supermarket, coffee shops and the harbour

Great location, quiet street yet near to Port and everything was in walking distance.
Very well equipped for studio, inc dishwasher and microwave/oven.
No space left in car park, so we had to park on nearby streets and a bit difficult to find a space at busy times. Parking costs very cheap for city.
Only thing that spoiled the room was a bad drains smell in the WC, and very small and thin bath towels! Also we felt it was a bit mean to charge 3 euros per day to use the in-room safe, when it just involved inputting a self-chosen pin code.

A decent aparthotel in a great location. Quiet street, but v close to all attractions, & tourist info office is nearby, as is train station. Swimming pool was great, indoors, but with both indoor and outdoor sunbed area. Found reception staff to be very helpful. Hotel is clean but a bit dog-eared in corridors. No air-conditioning either & it was very muggy during our stay (August). Nontheless, very pleasant stay.

Reception staff pleasant and helpful. This hotel is fine for a family. Room well equipped for a stay with utensils, fridge and kitchenette. Be aware that the double bed is a sofa conversion with 2 bunks. Would like a little more attention to cleaning of the beds. Pool is great. Perfect temperature to cool off after a day out. Would have been better if closing time was 8pm and not 7pm. Location close to station. Bit of a walk to the town if with small children. Be advised that tourist tax is charged on check in - had thought this was included in booking charge.Would stay again and would recommend.

This was our second stay at P+V la Rochelle. The residence is in the perfect location, just 6 minutes from the train station, and no more to the Vieux Port.In addition it is a few minutes from the Aquarium, and the maritime museum.Rue St Nicolas is a lively area for a beer/glass of wine,or toeat.Don't miss "La Giugnette"at number 16,but get there early,as it's closed by 9pm.They have their own"brand" of wine based bottles, with 5 flavours......all at 9 euros.EVERYBODY drinks this, and the place is packed. The residence itself is clean, and the pool is heated. We were upgraded to a 1 bed studio(apartment) instead of a 4 person studio. The room was spacious, and there was a small balcony.Good staff and welcome. One small plumbing problem, and get showered early, as the water CAN be tepid. All in all, very good value for money.

This hotel reminded me of flying iwth Ryanair. Cheap initial price to get you in, then everything else costs you. Oh, you didn't bring towels with you? You'll have to hire them at an overinfalted rate. No TV in the room? That costs too. As does your incredibly average breakfast. Save yourself the cost and get something tasty in La Rochelle's old town itself. Lovely cafe just under the clock tower is recommended. It did have a fantastic position and could easily accommodate a family with 2 children.

Overall very good hotel. Only problem is they changed the door code without informing us and left us locked outside.

very clean but rooms are small but ok for a couple mabe a child(dobble sofa bed and 2 bunk beds)no air con but balconys are nice. desk staff speak reasonable english and are very helpful pool is nice but not too warm in a large conservotory. oh and so easy to find you cant miss it head to gare sncf (train station) signposted everywhere take the turn opersit and its down second right on the corner walking distance to town and evean closer to trainstation.
3.8
Be warned - the hotel's reception is only open from 8am till midday, and 4pm till 7pm each day so make sure your arrival coincides or you can't even get in. There are no staff on duty any where outside these hours, so if you have a problem as we did you are on your own. The key got jammed in our door lock and we couldn't lock the door when going out for dinner. We eventually found an emergency number to call and it took the Manager 3 hours to get back to the hotel to rectify the problem - too late to go out for dinner. Also note there is no air conditioning, so rooms are very stuffy during the summer. On the plus side rooms were very clean and the swimming pool was excellent.
3.8
An adequate hotel if travelling as a couple, or with infants. If a family with children in or approaching teens, do not book only one room as conditions will be very cramped. No air conditioning or fans and temperatures are high in July/August. Popular with teenagers, so can be noisy late at night, and french nationals who take their dogs. Good indoor pool, not crowded, but no shallow end for non-swimmers. Well located for restaurants etc., 10 mins walk to the port and shops. Book underground parking in advance or have to pay to park in surrounding streets.
3.8
Very tiny apartments, but with everything one could possibly require, and more. Spotlessly clean, very helpful staff.
