A very nice, basic hotel. Rooms are clean but need some updating. Good value for money.

I loved this place and felt very relaxed. Reception made me feel very welcome. The layout is a bit unusual, however clearly in fitting with the local environment. It was very clean and well equipped. My apartment was maybe a little smaller than some of the other Adagio apartments I have stayed in, however okay. It was very quiet. It is within 5 minutes walk from a frequent bus service and within walking distance to the Parc Vauban and the Citadelle .
The only negatives was that the internet was very slow and I was unable to do some of the things I wanted to do, however not a problem on this occasion. It would be on another. The other negative was the lighting when you came out of the lift. It was very unnerving to come out of the lift into pitch black and not be able to find the lights and the one by my apartment didn't work. This really needs to be sorted.

Not far from city centre. Reception manned most of the day. Free coffee machine available throughout day. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Free off road street parking nearby.

Very central hotel, easy to walk to everything. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean (saw lots of cleaning going on while there). Bed very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped, had everything I needed. On the downside, location of room was not great - ground floor, high wall opposite so dark, no view and on a walkway with people walking past the window. Quite noisy at night with doors banging and other unidentifiable noises. But overall very good value and a pleasant stay.

Clean and well equipped suite with comfortable bed and full kitchen! I can imagine myself staying here longer. Highly recommend this place!

Cheap clean and friendly good location and price to a charming french town

Upon arrival we asked for quiet room, staff could not find the keys to our room and moved us with “ this is a better room”. I asked when shown the room that this is on the main walkway and would be noisy, was advise it would be quiet.
Wrong, Wrong, Wrong, the noise started at 10.00pm and continued all night with people returning from their night out and then leaving in the morning, it sounded as though a jet engine was right outside the window.
Do not recommend this hotel if you want a nights rest.

The people from the hotel are really nice, they have free coffee and tea almost all day which is a very nice thing. The room is enough for having a good stay. The only tiny problem was that we ran out of toilet paper and soap and as they dont clean the bedroom until the check out we covered it.

Staff were very friendly but due to the heat and noise outside didn’t sleep well

Fine service and friendly reception. But cleanliness wasn’t there and the bed was the worst.

Overall good room, although ventilation was an issue (no a/c). There was also no free wi-fi available. However, served purpose of stay, which was just as a place to sleep.

We were met by a very friendly man on reception, and in fact all contact we had with staff (minimal) was great. Warm, friendly and helpful. We put the car in the garage (extra charge) which was secure and had plenty of space. There was free street parking in the locale but we had a lot of bags to stay in the car and we didnt want to risk it.The rooms are in various blocks, as previous reviews have said it is a bit like student digs or a youth hostel. For a family with young children (8 And 6) who were hardly in the room it was more than adequate. Pros- shutters to make the room dark. Comfortable beds, nice linen and towels. Spotless kitchenette and bathroom, fridge, table and chairs for breakfast. Sofa bed was a reasonable size for two adults, sliding door between bedroom and lounge gave privacy. Garage. Staff.Cons- smelt kind of funky all the time, even after windows left wide open. I think it was the carpet. Room very dated, torn net curtain, broken sliding door, carpet was dubious. Weird neighbours were banging doors all night long, heaven knows what they were up to. It did wake me up. No aircon. It was very hot but we coped, this wouldnt be an issue year round as Windows open properly. Some street noise, not all rooms face the street. It was clean. I would NOT recommend to others I know but I would stay again. It suited us, it might suit you. NOTE- It is not like other adagio I have stayed in.

very good and convenience in location and value, with parking in the underground.

We had four nights in Lille so the kitchenette in this room was a plus. Restaurants are very expensive in France. The room was quite big by European standards and the wifi was very good, except in the evening. The location is a bit outside the historic centre of town but only a 15 min walk from it. It is a quiet street but only two blocks from a good restaurant/bar area.

Easy check in. easy parking on the street nearby, staff very helpful and welcoming. Quiet location, easy access to city.

Room was surprisingly large. Kitchenette rather compact but had everything we needed for making breakfast and simple meals (and washing up liquid, sponge and tea towel provided!). No complaints. Some aspects of room could do with being improved upon in due course but really nothing wrong with it and very good value for the money.

Friendly and very helpful staff made stay excellent. Cosy room but clean and comfortable. Excellent location as easy to walk into city centre (20 mins) or use bus stop opposite (5 mins).
I left my iPad behind and they sent it back to me in the UK free of charge (for which I am very thankful!).

A small group of us stayed in Lille over a winter January weekend. The Hotel is a very reasonable walking distance from the center as well as both train stations. The room came equipped with a full size bathroom, and a small kitchen. I would definitly recommend the Aparthotel Adagio due to the price, and distance from all the local amenities.

I Liked it very much, the hotel is neat and affordable and very nice people.

Large apartment, with double bed (very firm materess) in bedroom, and sofa bed in room, (quite comfy). The sofa is the only comfortable seating, but will seat 3.
Small kitchen with microwave, fridge and hob. Could do with a kettle and toaster, but boiling the water didn't take long in a pan.
no more than a 15 minute gentle walk into the centre of Lille, and even shorter to a bar/restaurant area (right out of hotel, left at junction, and then right at major crossing, 1 junction down).
Car park is situated below the hotel 8euros per day, key pad entry, very secure.
Very pleasant stay, quiet and relaxing.

The location was good, close enough to main attractions. We were about 20 minutes walk from the tourist information office and the centre of town. All of the hotel staff that we met were friendly and polite, and were happy to give us information on some of the quickest ways into town.
The apartment itself was okay, though we had a few minor issues; the kitchenette looked clean and well looked after, though the fridge we had looked clean but had a rather off putting smell. The main room was spacious, although the bed was rather uncomfortable and the walls were terribly thin, so some of the louder guests could interrupt sleep; although the hotel does have a policy whereby guests are expected to keep the volume down between the hours of 10pm and 8am.
There are no lockers to store luggage between checkout and a later flight or Eurostar departure; however, the desk staff are happy to let you place your luggage in their office, which isn't too bad because there is always someone around.

Was only here for a day but would happily go back. Free wi-fi included, short walk to the center, and well appointed rooms. Staff were extremely helpful with any and all questions.

A very good hotel with basic cooking facilities in each room, hotplate and microwave plus a fridge. Also basis crockery etc but no kettle you have to boil water in a saucepan. Have used hotel before and each time have been very satisfied.

Hotel is about 15 mins from the Grand Place and about a 25 min from EuroLille. Is along a quiet street and there is a mini market at the bottom of the street and a nice bar just over the other side of the road (Rue Nationale). We walked from Eurolille with a bag each and its a nice walk through the town centre. When we checked out we left our bags in the hotel office and picked them up again in the evening.

We stayed here for 2 nights in early April and found the hotel to be good value for a budget hotel. I had wanted to stay in one of the other chain hotels but everywhere else was full. The hotel was basic but clean with a small kitchenette. The room was warm and clean and the bed was comfortable. The only gripes were that there was no sky TV and that the walk into town was exhausting! it was apparently 10/15 minutes walk but after doing that 4 times a day we were exhausted. The walk isn't very interesting but seemed safe walking back at night. If you are travelling in by Eurostar you need to remember that the hotel is the opposite side of town so you'll have to 'lug' your luggage around the city rather than going back to collect it. I would recommend this hotel if you dont' mind walking and wanted a cheap place to stay.

Clean comfortable rooms in a good location. Rooms are basic but suitable if you are looking for a budget trip.

Went to Lille for Christmas Markets. Hotel is easy to find. At the time it had scafolding on the outside but we heard no noise and our apartment was set back from the front and road. Rooms were clean and staff freindly. Rooms are basic but all you need for a short visit. Parking was free on the street, if you can find a spot.

Upon arrival we were greeted at reception courteously and given directions to our room and to the car park. We had paid in advance for the room and had to pay on the spot for breakfasts, car park and local taxes. Finding the room was a little difficult due to this being an aparthotel kind of place, consisting of 5 or more separate buildings, but we got in with further directions from reception. Upon entry to the room, we noticed how cold it was and searched out the heaters. One in the bedroom and one in the bathroom, both not very big. We turned them up full and it eventually got the room warm by very late that night and we slept comfortably. The room had a table and 2 chairs, a small kitchenette with a 2 burner halogen hob, a microwave oven and a fridge as well as plates, cups, cutlery and glasses for a self catering stay. We found the hotel comfortable, quite quiet for a city centre hotel, but would have liked to have seen the room prepared a little better on the heating side before we took up residence on such a cold November afternoon.
