Very clean with good quality toiletries and good selection of drinks. Comfy bed and great breakfast Let down by being quite dated bathroom and furniture, some decor needed but super value for money

Really enjoyed our second stay at The Evenhill. Room very clean & comfortable. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Food was excellent with large choice at reasonable prices & breakfast was just as good as the dinners. Conveniently located for coastal resorts such as Broadstairs & Herne Bay. Recommend The Evenhill for a relaxing break.

Super location and staff. The room was terrific although the TV did not work. Breakfast was superb. We had an evening meal which was satisfactory if a little bland.

The room was a decent size, clean but needs some updating. Bed was extremely comfortable, air-con available if needed, plenty of room for storage. The only thing that let it down was the clientele, we stayed 3 nights, for the first 2 nights English guests were coming back to their rooms until at least 3am, shouting and banging doors, with no consideration for other paying guests. I’m all for having a good time but please be a bit more respectful of others. I hold no blame to the hotel as I realise this is out of their control, but it does probably put me off of booking here again, which is a shame as it’s a good location, breakfast very good and staff very friendly and attentive..

We spent a week at The Evenhill as it was in an ideal location to tour around Kent. The room was clean, spacious, lovely white fluffy towels and was in a nice setting. Good choice of food and plentiful. The staff were pleasant and welcoming The bus stop outside was handy to get around various towns. We would recommend staying at this hotel.

Reasonable for the area and price. Clean. Comfy beds. Perfectly OK for a functional stay. Old barn property but the interior had none of the charm of the exterior. One of our rooms had a really tricky door mechanism. Either no WiFi or code not given. Host seemed to be working really hard with little support. For example, being a small property, the breakfasts were cooked to order, and ours took an hour to arrive (excellent food but very small portions e.g. one sausage, one hash brown, one tablespoon of beans ...).

This Inn was perfect for our last overnight in the UK. The proprietor was friendly and helpful. Food was on premises so very convenient and good. Parking was plentiful. Beds were comfortable and shower was great! All was terrific!

Stayed here for 1 night to be close to Winters Barn for a family wedding. Place was easy to find, clean and comfortable. Shower hot and large rainforest style head which i loved. Staff friendly and accommodating, i needed an extension lead to dry my hair as no plugs near the mirror and the team were accommodating. Breakfast was nice too. Would stay again. Its also a short drive to main Canterbury city center.

Smallish room however very clean and felt safe and secure. Parking immediately outside was great. Nice touch with the Nespresso coffee machine in the room and milk in a flask was offered at check in- more eco-friendly than the plastic pods. Breakfast was amazing, great atmosphere and lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Nice accommodation in a separate block to a lovely pub. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not the most modern, soundproofed etc but clean and comfortable and decent value for money. Great breakfast with lots of options.

A lovely stay with an amazing breakfast! Our room was fresh and clean. The bathroom was lovely, towels were fluffy and large. The staff were friendly and helpful, even when it was really busy. Woukd definitely stay again when in the area.

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Very helpful and kind. We enjoyed our stay. Susie was especially helpful and knowledgeable. The room was clean and comfortable. Facilities were excellent. Lovely area. Handy to catch bus into town. We lived Canterbury and had an amazing tour of the cathedral.

We got what we paid for. It was the cheapest place to stay that we could find. If you are on a budget it's the best. If you are prepared to spend 10%-20% more then I'd go somewhere else.

The adjoining country pub was adorable. The staff were kind and friendly along with the locals. Situated in the countryside and about 10min drive from Canterbury or bus service is right near the hotel. I’ve come home and straight away have reserved a room for May.

I really enjoyed it here. My Mum and I needed somewhere quiet to just rest and this is what we got. Not so great with noisy guests in adjoining rooms. I found the pillows in the room too soft but everything else was great. The breakfasts were freshly cooked and very filling, as were the dinners - massive fish portion and the soup in particular were lovely. Above all, all the staff were great - very friendly and had no problems accommodating our needs. They were so helpful and understanding. I'd like to stay there again.

Hotel on arrival didn’t seem all that but once inside our room was a different story cleanliness comfort our own coffe machine spacious bathroom with corner bath water and biscuits alongside with different tea all what you would expect from a hotel offering 4 star facilities lovely pub/restaurant with excellent food highly recommend

Staff are very friendly, locals chatty and food is great quality Location great for wildlife park Rooms have all you need good size bathroom. Pub a little uncomfortable to stay in for any length of time, hard seating throughout, nice but not squidgy to make you stay all night Made a mistake with breakfast by putting bacon on the vegetarian dish, but staff recovered this well. Only real negative is the the doors in the accommodation building tend to slam making it a little noisy

Good pub with accommodation in separate part of the car park so no noise from the pub. Bed was comfortable, the pillows less so, but that's personal preference. Would have liked a bigger TV - the remote buttons had all rubbed off so you had to guess how to work it. Very good breakfast and the restaurant area downstairs is very nice despite loads of noise from the somewhat rowdy pub upstairs

The rooms were comfortable and clean. Although slightly noisy with fellow occupiers getting an early start in the mornings, but that’s part and parcel. Our breakfasts were in the pub, and it was good quality. Friendly service too! Would definitely stay there again.
