I love the turntable in every room with hundreds (thousands?) of lps to choose from -- classical, jazz, pop and a great selection of New England folk music. I'll be going back next week -- the Latchis Theater is showing a first run art film (The Outrun) starring the brilliant Saoirse Ronan.

We enjoyed our stay. Loved the art deco details.

Great stay. Comfortable mattress and pillows.

I loved this hotel. It was in the town, restaurants were in a walkable distance. The view from our room was beautiful. It is an older hotel, beautifully updated.

Quick two-day business trip, I've stayed here before and really enjoyed it. It's not fancy so adjust your expectations. Super centrally located in this small town and the service is superb - friendly and very welcoming. I loved some of the little funky touches - the record player in the room and the collection of weird records I liked a lot. It's definitely 'boutique' in that it's an older property and the area can be a bit funky - there's a big store across the street that's now closed and there was some craziness at the transit center down the road. But at the end of the day I needed to get some rest after a long set of work days and that's what I got in a clean and comfortable room.

Everything was clean and in good condition. I love the movie theater!!

Hotel is historic. We recognized and appreciated all the original attributes of the property. But some things need to be better, and could be without undermining the historic features. Beds were horrible; needed to be replaced long ago. None of USB charging ports worked; a necessity in 2020’s. Everything else functional but no-frills. Hard to justify the room-rate.

A great location, walkable from the train station and close to downtown restaurants and an organic market. Also fun was their proximity to the local theater- we were able to do dinner and a show before retiring for the night!

The pictures presented on the site did not represent the condition of the property. Bathroom was in disrepair and the door to the room was questionable. We were told there is no individual room climate control but there was a fan and a blanket in the closet to cover individual needs. We could not wait to exit the property.

It is a great historic hotel with easy parking. I was a little worried about parking my car in an area that seemed to have a lot of homeless, but it wasn't a problem. Being in a downtown area there were plenty of restaurants and bars to chose from within walking distance of the hotel.

The front desk staff was probably the friendliest front desk staff we've ever encountered! Helpful in all ways!

The only thing that was awkward was my leaving at 8am. The front desk didn’t open until brilliant 9am

To start off by saying, this is a very old builgind with a lot of grandfather issues. Their is no room service nor housekeeping. Beds and pillows were soft, which in turns makes for a short night of sleep. No coffee maker in the rooms. Ever outlet has a 6 plug power cord in them in turn has 3 or 4 plugs in them. Hotel staff goes home at night, doors are locked. Hugh homelessn groups in the back parking lot. Other then this we were left alone.

The hotel is a bit dated but honestly that adds to its charm and ambiance. I especially love the attached Latchis Theater, where I enjoyed a movie. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and there are several nice businesses and restaurants within walking distance.

I've stayed multiple times at the Latchis. I love the vintage vibe, the friendly service, and the location in the heart of Brattleboro.

Did not get to stay. There was no parking at the hotel and the nearest thing was a town owned lot that you had to move your vehicle before 7am. The lot was full of homeless people

I had to stay outside in the rain because the key that they gave me did not fit my door and there was no customer service at that time of night so unfortunately I slept outside in the rain when I paid for a hotel for me and my family I'm very upset and no one has gotten a hold of me it's been 5 days since I wrote to them

The hotel was historic, and our room was super cool looking kind of Victorian and every room has a old school record player, was super cool as well there was a pub attached that was half rundown. They said they were switching owners. Our room had leftover food in the refrigerator and we found a vape pen on our floor. Also, you cannot control the air conditioning at all in your room. It was pretty hot in our room. They did provide fans. Also, the area downtown was not what we were expecting. Really not a lot there we overheard some people talking about how there wasn’t even a pharmacy in town because I’ve had closed down. You had to go to town to get a pharmacy.

Couldn’t go to my vehicle without being harassed by meth and fentanyl influenced people. The is a huge crowd of them who hang out behind the hotel.

It was good to have a place. I enjoyed to views particularly.

I really wanted to like Lathis! But unfortunately it smelled like exterminator fluid, the lights were harsh, and the mattress was uncomfortable - I could feel the springs through it. The customer service was excellent and accommodating, though.

It isn't the fanciest hotel but it is attached to a movie theatre and the art deco vibe is definitely fun. Staff is nice and the room was clean. There are some good restaurants in the area too and the view of the mountain was nice to wake up to.

Old building that has some really cool art deco design. The theater was beautiful with great murals. There’s lots of restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are a bit run down but that’s to be expected. This place is history.

Very cool Art Deco Hotel, Bar, and Movie Theatre. Rooms are small but comfortable. Well maintained property in the heart of Brattleboro. We used all the facilities and saw Fly Me To The Moon in the theatre on the 55th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.
A Grateful Dead tribute band played in the Bar on Friday night.
An all round great stay. Perfect for anyone with a taste for vintage.

There are some homeless people around the hotel Parking lot. The AC at night is too cold for us, but we can't adjust by ourselves.

We loved the art deco designed hotel and movie theatre. A gem. And being able to park the car in the hotel parking lot and then explore the bookstores and restaurants on foot was wonderful.
We were, however, accosted at every block by aggressive panhandlers. Does Brattleboro not have a humane way of dealing with addicts?

Staying at Latchis is like being transported back to the 30's (ignorant incurious millenials can stop reading here). Not just because the building is a gorgeous example of art deco architecture, but the staff provides a level of courteous professional service from a bygone era. And even the least expensive room (my room) has a touch of spacious genuine marble luxury that modern hotels can only fake miserably. Highly recommended.

This is a not for profit art deco hotel and movie theater in downtown walkable with their own parking area, unique!

Sad because I never made it to the hotel. Injured myself on the way there. Hope to make it to Vermont later in the year to give a proper review.

We had a wonderful stay, the hotel is located in such a great spot, very close to the Amtrak stop. The area was walkable and fun to explore, the room was clean and very comfortable, we also enjoyed the little record player it had!

We arrived a little early and since the room was ready there was no problem checking in (since one of us was wanted to lie down, this was great). Shout out to Shawna at the desk--thanks.

It’s an older historic hotel. Very neat and staff was friendly. Majority of restaurants were closed due to short staffed or closed in general. There were lots of shops closed/out of business. Not many options for much.
