Room was as advertised, bed comfortable, and room was very cold. Great location in Chinatown, I could walk to almost anything I wanted. Bathroom a bit small but overall would stay again!

No window in our room

Unique boutique hotel in a fabulous location in the heart of Chinatown. Very unusual and beautifully styled with an old world decadent feel.
5 minute walk to Metro. Incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful staff.
A lot of luxury for a little price.

Comfort, style and pizazz, great service and terrific location. Food was good too.

Unique boutique hotel in heart of bustling China Town. Beautifully decorated rooms, free mini bar and comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and we were even treated to a complimentary Afternoon Tea. We would staff here again.

Shanghai Mansion is spectacularly designed and well-located in Chinatown. Service doesn't quite match the beauty of the place -- I had to call several times for a simple matter. But I'd definintely stay here again.

Amazing, funky property in the heart of Chinatown. While the rooms are beautifully done, they don't have windows or natural light. Chinatown becomes exceptionally busy late afternoon to late at night, which is fun but bring earplugs. The service is friendly and super efficient and professional. It's definitely a must try for one night

The property aesthetics are lovely and charming. Restaurant food was a limited menu. Breakfast buffet was amazing and the setting beautiful. My first time in China town, i didnt like it although that does not reflect on the hotel.

This hotel is an experience. It is so beautiful, it feels like it takes you out of this world and into a dream. We loved our stay. Also, they had delicious food and cocktails.

Couldn't beat the convenient location.
Staff is very helpful, helped us book a car and driver for our full day adventure: train market, floating market and temples. Stay here based on a local friend's recommendation. Would stay here again. Highly recommend it.

Decent place. Located in Chinatown. We first got a room looking out to the street, but it was too loud at night so we got moved into a smaller room.
The water is extremely hot.
The service was great there, Richard helped us get settled in. He did a great job.
Beds are really hard but actually worked for our backs.
We didn’t care for the separate hot and cold faucets at the hand sink.
Could use smaller washcloths. Only had body towels and hand towels.
It is located in Chinatown.
Overall, it was decent.

Great location in Chinatown. Loved the overall authenticity of the hotel and the service was excellent.

The hotel has a fun vibe and decor. The bar is awesome, but there was live music each night that was so loud, you couldn’t chat. Seating was hard to come by. The room had a very flimsy lock, and the doors were similarly dodgy - big gaps between the door and wall/floor, so you can hear everything on the floor. Only one key available per room. The spa services were great.

When the cab pulled up I thought “Oh no, what a dump”. But upon entering I saw that it was beautiful. Antiques throughout and a HUGE (like 5 rooms long and 3 rooms wide) koi pond with water lilies blooming. From 3-4 in the afternoons they provided tea and light snacks. There was a woman performing a zither-like instrument. Delightful after a morning shopping the nearby street markets. The hotel is in an old section of town, very loud and congested but inside, we didn’t hear any of that. Don’t let the exterior throw you off. It’s a great place to stay.

The afternoon tea was lovely. The bar was nice but VERY EXPENSIVE. Money grab here. You can go down the street and get cocktails for a third of the price. They should think about this.

Great hotel is middle of chaotic Chinatown. An a oasis . Very unique in style and does stand out from surrounding area properties .
Only downside was had bed and poor variety of channels …. Only bbc was in English (would be handy if you want some me time in room in evening after a busy day ). Staff lovely and breakfast excellent . Stay here !

The atmosphere is great and the music bar is amazingly. Bed wasn't that great but not bad.

This is truly an amazing hotel. The service, the location, the atmosphere, the breakfast, the complimentary afternoon tea and baked goodies, the lounge and nightly live music are all top notch! However, just a word of caution - the rooms are windowless, a bit dated and we had a sewage smell coming out of the shower drain. Housekeeping came immediately to rectify the issue. I would still highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful experience in the heart of Chinatown.

I liked the atmosphere here. Chinatown has lots of energy, street food, gold stores, vendors selling everything. Shanghai Mansion’s location is in the heart of the district. One thing I did not like is the TV in the room — only a handful of channels, none in English, reception was poor in most to the point of being unwatchable.

The breakfast buffet was included with our room and it was fantastic. A great way to start your day. Highly recommend.

This hotel has a unique Chinese traditional design. It's probably ok to stay one or two night for the experience.Room has an open-toilet design,so odor from the toilet can get into the room. Room seems to have a damp smell all the time. Tooth brush, paste are provided only on request. Drinking water is not provided which is a bit inconvenience.

Wonderful Chinese style hotel. Great decor like art deco 1920s Shanghai I have seen in old photos. A special hotel in a unique part of Bangkok.

Fantastic stay for our honeymoon. Right in the middle of Chinatown but the room was very quiet. Authentic decor, super clean and very friendly staff. We would definitely recommend it. Felt like vip guests from check in!

This hotel is a wonderful oasis of calm in the heart of Chinatown. The hotel is stylish and beautifully decorated throughout with an open street bar at the front of the hotel.
The rooms are thoughtfully equipped, and comfortable.
A special mention to the staff who were incredibly helpful when 2 of party became ill who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
The only downside is that we only stayed for 3 nights, I wish it was more. We will most definitely return

The staff is amazing and made us feel welcomed from the time we checked in to the time we checked out . Beautiful hotel and very convenient for eating and entertainment options. I would recommend if your looking for somewhere in Chinatown that’s clean & convenient.

This is an incredibly beautiful property. Staff were extremely kind and joyful. We were a foursome with 2 rooms. They were clean, luxurious, and so enchanting. I'm only sorry we didn't get more time here. The live music at the bar was enjoyable. The property is truly a destination itself. I'd be delighted to stay next time I am in BKK.
