Well to begin with we arrived later after attending a funeral, couldnt find the entrance so ended upgoing in at the exit. The young girl came out to the car and saidthat they had no knowlege of my requests and said that sometimes requests do not get passed on the only room available was in a separate building but it did have steps to the room. We then went to the room the girl left saying we could park close my husband then went to the room and i had to struggle up the 5 steps whilst my 80year old husband had to lift the scooter up the steps. Once in the room the tv was not working and couldnt get the wifi trird ringing reception but no answer my husband then went over to the main building for help. Rthe young girl was very helpful and got the wifi working and the tv. Couldnt use the bath or shower as was unable to lift legs over the bath.

Our room is clean, quiet and quite a good size. The beds are comfortable. Ideal for our own night stop over.

First class stay in an historic home. Decor commensurate with the age of the property. Rooms comfortable and each is different, definitely not cookie-cutter styled. Outdoor eating/drinking areas when the weather permits it. Staff are approachable and helpful. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Room definately did not match up to the price tag. We were in the mews, more like an old worn out travellodge.

Lovely hotel with old fashioned but comfortable furniture in the communal areas. The room was basic but perfect.

Stayed here gor a medieval themed evening, which was great fun! Room was comfortably and clear, however, air conditioning would have made our stay even more comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely

Beautiful building and a nice room

The room was comfortable but tired. There was a hole in the floor the furniture was seriously ‘distressed and the paintwork was seriously in need of refreshing. Having said that the bed was comfortable with good quality bed linen. The staff members were helpful.

Disappointed that our rooms wasn’t in the main building and if it was known at time of booking, I wouldn’t have stayed.
Staff were very helpful and polite.
Poor maintenance as toilet was unsafe, room 28.
Great breakfast and multiple choices.

Really enjoyed my stay and hopefully, return.

Property, being a historical building, has absolutely zero air conditioning or climate control in-room, so do not stay here on really hot days.
Bathroom was dirty, with what, I believe, was blood on the shower curtain.
The building itself is beautiful and the surrounding area is really nice.
Absolutely poor mobile phone signal (though this is not the fault of Greene King/the staff at Rothley Court) - just pointing it out.

Please tell the staff to stop using the term 'we' when asking us a question, as the check in girl wasn't checking in with us and neither was the waitress sitting down to eat breakfast with us. They should ask ' are you' NOT 'are we'.
The blonde 'manageress?' should not have a loud conversation with a staff member in the breakfast dining room about signing to say that they had completed the Fire Evacuation course, when they hadn't, and didn't want to sign until they had completed it. This conversation should not have taken place in the dining room and the lack of completing the course before signing it is against health and safety rules. We dont know what the outcome of this conversation was.
The hotel was ok, the breakfasts were good and the room was comfortable and clean.

Beautiful hotel from the outside with ample parking. The rooms are a bit outdated however they are spacious and perfectly fine for a short stay.

This is an old property, but full of history, so it’s unsurprising that it shows its age in places. The bathrooms in the more modern annex could do with updating, but wouldn’t want this to detract from what was a lovely stay with an exceptional team running the show. Nothing was too much and they went the extra mile to make the stay comfortable and pleasant. We would certainly stay again.

Not a great welcome. The young lady with the greeny blue hair may be in the wrong job. No welcome at all, she had gone to make a drink. Mentioned I had called 5 times that morning with no answer and she said nothing. no "how was your trip?". Really couldn't be bothered

Nice location Nice building
Breakfast very good choice. Hot food well cooked and presented.
Bedroom tired, lacked detail ie no USB charger, tissues, pillows uncomfortable. Bedding clean.
Bathroom very tired. Slippery bath, no mat. Towel rail too close to toilet so towels hang over cistern

We stayed in the annexe which was sercure, the walls were thin so could hear people’s conversation. The bed was a bit lumpy and could feel the springs. Overall was a overnight stay and was okay. Love the ground’s beautiful setting.

Lovely hotel will definitely stay again only issue was we stayed in the annex which was lovely but there is no sound insulation and could the next room and upstairs - it's also building that's been converted. Would try and stay in the main house next time . Breakfast was lovely

I stayed for one night and requested a quiet room which was accommodated. The hotel has a separate building across the front of the site of the main hotel with more rooms.
The room next door did have their tv on loud so I could hear that through the walls and them talking but it cannot be avoided in hotels quiet rooms or not.
Staff were very helpful and the hotel is charming with lots of character. Beautiful grounds to walk around with natural water flowing at the bottom of the gardens. Breakfast was excellent. Great parking too.
Would definitely stay if in the area again.
