We enjoyed our visit to sessions. The property is in a great location in the heart of Big Bear. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. They have a wonderful common area with a large kitchen, pool table, sitting area, and more. The staff was incredible and made use feel welcomed and valued as guests. If you are going to Big Bear, this is the place to stay!

Great vibe and energy. Clean and safe with good wifi and a great bed. Thank you for a wonderful night in the woods, just what my spirit needed

Natasha at reception was very friendly. Room was clean and modern. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to the wildfires in the area but Natasha helped arrange for us to get a refund for the remaining night. Great customer service.

What a surprise this little gem is! Booked a night just to get away and wished I had stayed longer.
As you pull in, there is a beautiful carriage awaiting your arrival at the front of the property, along with a refreshing pool, corn hole games and fire pits. For the adults, the facility offers its own bar for hotel guests only and is a mediation haven.
Incredible sound bath experience that left me wanting to book my next trip to Sessions!
I’m definitely heading back for the end of summer/fall beauty!

The owner Frank is amazing!

Very cute cabin. Great art, furniture and accessories. Very clean. There was a fan that helped cool down at night. Check in process was still under development but all worked out! The main road had traffic all night so if quiet is important to you, ask for a room away from it!

It was great! Love how updates and clean the rooms are. Also great location!

Loved our stay here. Very friendly staff, and loved the community feel. Would stay again

The hotel bar was very fun. The property was nice and shaded. The bed was lovely.
There wasn’t air conditioning but it was pretty comfortable.

The rooms are great and unique, I love the art style in the rooms and outside too. I feel like it fits my vibe, and is not a cold corporate looking hotel. It’s also very dog friendly, and conveniently located near everything you may need, including spots that are vegan friendly. I fully recommend staying here. I’ve already recommended it to everyone in my friend group.

We stayed in this hotel for one night with the family it was awesome experience everything is walkable from this hotel really like it and must recommend for family’s because they provide you full kitchen as complementary….

This hotel has shared kitchen on the bottom floor where you could store food (labeling them so nobody else takes it). My remote control was not working to the television unit, and the host was gracious enough to come back in the evening to see what was happening; he ended up replacing the television on the spot. Friendly staff!

This was our second time at Sessions. We really liked it because the staff is friendly and the rooms are very clean. They didn’t disappoint again. I will never stay anywhere else when staying at Big Bear.

Room was spacious & clean. Amazinly priced, but when i tried to extend an extra night price went up so ended up getting a cabin else where. Didnt try pool, because no one gave an answer as to what time it closed. Also no ac only fan was provided. So wasnt too bad but still hot in room.

Great room, great staff and service, very accommodating, great location (close to the Villages and the Big Bear Lake marina,)

Nice place with many amenities including game room, shared fireplace room, kitchen, outdoor games like horseshoes. Very quiet and property is very spacious. Rooms are a bit small as it is an old style hotel and resort but fine if you are busy outside doing other things.

no air-condition in a summer day We can't bear it

Really friendly check in and service. Thought we got a deluxe double but ended up with a top floor room at the far end of the floor with stairs far away. Did not realize I had to tell the hotel I was with a disabled friend. Room was nice and the area was continently located to town and the lake.

Unable to sleep at night.

The staff were super friendly and the hotel was revamped so well! The bar area is family friendly and the drinks are amazing.
I loved waking up early and heading to the back of the property to swing in some hammocks with my family. The only down side were the beds and pillows, but not so bad i wouldn’t stay again.
We didn’t see the bike wash area, but next time we stay we will be sure to utilize it.
Check in is easy and the location is close to the village and snow summit.

Sessions is a great little place to get away. It’s clean, cozy and has two dogs hanging around the property (a bonus for me). The owner was available, very helpful and super understanding. Unfortunately we arrived during a heat wave. We were unaware that Sessions didn’t have a/c. Frank (the owner) did everything he could to keep us cool. And, when we eventually booked another place with a/c, he was kind, gave us the proper refund and wished us a cool stay somewhere else. I will definitely come back to Sessions when the weather is more cooperative. It’s a wonderful accommodation.

We wanted to love this stay. The room was super cute, staff was super friendly and helpful. We stayed during a heat wave (100 degrees), and there was an air quality warning. Upon check in, we were informed the ac wasnt working. We were told there was a fan in the room and that it cools down at night. After getting to our room and showering, our tub wouldn’t drain. It was still hot in the room, so we texted him about the drain and also requested another fan. He came right over, unclogged the drain, and brought us another fan. We went out to dinner, and hoped when we got back it would be cooler. We opened both windows and had both fans on, and at 11pm our room was still unbearably hot. The air quality alert was still in effect, so we decided we couldn’t finish the night there. At that time, we had to book with a much more expensive hotel because it was the only one available. Since we booked through Expedia, we thought we had to try to initiate a refund through Expedia. Our agent informed us the refund was denied by the hotel, so we called back to try to understand why. The owner stated that he denied the refund because we “never communicated” that it was too hot and that we should have called him in the middle of the night for the refund so he knew what was going on. We did not call because the office is closed at night, plus we knew it was an issue that wasn’t going to be able to be remedied. He then began to insinuate we were trying to get over on him bc other people try to

Room was big and spacious with 3 big beds. The bedding was soft and comfortable. It was a bit hot when we arrived at 3:30 and lack of AC was tough. The bathroom had a leak so there was some water on the floor and the bathroom floor wasn’t that clean.

What a great place!! Frank was one of the nicest and friendliest people I’ve ever met!! Very accommodating and he showed us around the property. We had stayed there once before when it was owned by someone else and the upgrades and special attention to the decor was wonderful!! The room was small but decorated in a way that made it feel big!! The bed was comfy, shower was great and the tv had everything you could ever want!!! Very convenient, night in the middle of town with a McDonald’s and 7-11 right across the street, for those late night munchies!! Looking forward to staying again!!!

Staff was very friendly, the property was large and most important the family enjoyed themselves. It was the first time the kids got to see and play in the snow. We really enjoyed it. Definitely would book again.

I stayed 3 nights, beginning as a work retreat, then stayed an extra night/day and my GF came up with my dog to join.
The grounds were very cool, pretty large and diverse. I enjoyed some hammock time, some coworkers enjoyed some basketball and the fire pits. The bar, Flatlanders, had a cool vibe. Seemed like the food is catered from the outside for events.
The room was decent, I stayed in the hotel. The lighting was impractically dark to see well, they had slightly brighter task lights over the bed. The bed was ok, a little hard for me, and there was some bad traffic noise the first night as it was too warm to close the windows. The second night I figured out how to use the provided sound machine and used earplugs, that really helped sleep through the night.
For the price, comparably to other lodges/cabins in the area, it's probably the best.
I chatted with the manager for a bit, all the staff were cool and friendly. Though after my work team left the Flatlander bar didn't open again. There weren't many people staying during the Friday night I was there, it was kind of cool having the grounds mostly to ourselves.

The staff was great, and helpful. Room was nice as well, we had an amazing stay.

Pros : nice area , very cozy room and friendly staff ! Pet friendly . 4 min drive to grocery stores and big bear lake !! Located on Big bear blvd which is awesome !
Cons : we expected our studio cabin to have a fireplace and a dishwasher which was mentioned in the description . We didn’t have either . Pool was drained and out of service , no mention of pool being closed .
I would recommend this property for 1 to 2 short nights stays .

Cute place. Exactly what we needed for our Spartan race. Frank was a fantastic host. Plenty of indoor and outdoor shared relaxation areas. Shared kitchen was a plus.

Stayed here one night on Mother’s Day and had a fabulous experience! Frank checked us in, gave us a tour and made us feel very comfortable!
The room we booked wasn’t quite ready so we were upgraded to a fabulous chalet room with a fireplace and full kitchen! we absolutely loved it and would definitely stay here again!

3rd time staying here, diferent room from the last but just as awesome as the first. I had the chance to see more of the comok areas this time, the place is huge and has just about everything you need to enjoy the day in the courtyards and activities. Will be back again to try the cabins : )

Last minute stay in Big Bear and searched for a place that would allow our small dog. Found Sessions and looked like a good fit for us. Unknowingly booked a room in the “Big House” and was reminded of this at check-in (once we called the number left on the closed office door and the clerk returned to get us checked-in). The Big House is just that, a common downstairs area including a cost sitting area with a large leather couch in front of a blazing gas fireplace, a pool table, large bar height tables for eating/working and a large common kitchen. Upstairs are the rooms. Ours had two queen sized beds and a night stand between them. No closet, dresser or other table/storage as the room was too small for any other pieces of furniture (we placed our luggage on the floor). The TV was mounted high on the wall. Bathroom was small (loved the tile work) and its door hit the toilet. Window in the bathroom as well as those in the bedroom did not have screens. Not too much of a problem for our stay as it was still too chilly for bugs but could be during emergency weather. Also no way to adjust the room temperature, no in room fridge or coffee. There was a hair dryer and complimentary hair products and lotion. The walls are PAPER THIN and anyone talking, sneezing or engaging in ANY activity can be heard from your room and/the hallway. The grounds were very nice with horseshoe pits, hammocks and fire pits with chairs. Small cabins would be the way to go if staying at the Sessions.

Small and cozy. I liked that the premises was small but the room was smaller than expected. Not a big deal. More ideal for one person but still very well taken care of. They had great common areas. We walked over to the bar on-site which gave a speakeasy vibe and we loved it! Checking in was super easy and the staff was very nice and accommodating. It’s a small walk to the village which was super convenient. We will be back!

The designs of the rooms are unique, there aren't boring as every traditional hotel, the only thing is that they should have a much brighter light available in case you need to read or do some work, aside from that the location is super centralize, everything is 5 minutes away, the place was really clean and I did like the virtual interaction to pre-check in and possibilities to add add-ons from there (like late check-out and more).

Great hotel, but the bed was soooo noisy. It was annoying. Definitely that room desperately needs a new bed
