When we arrived at night the internet was very slow and not acceptable. We complained and they redid their entire internet, routers and all the following morning increasing speed by 70 times! Never seen that before!!!

I like that it comes with a kitchen and small fridge, it was very quiet & the staff was very friendly, i do think for the price, they could improve their rooms a little, better Internet or Cable, at night when we would try to watch tv, it kept buffing to the point that sometimes you couldn’t make out a sentence or keep up with the show or movie the internet was the same would come and go, as well i would say it needs better quality lighting inside the rooms, outside in the lobby it all looks great but inside the rooms it can be a little dark and gloomy and i don’t mean the romantic dark kind. Also more selection at the restaurant, breakfast was included, but it gets old very fast especially if you are going for a longer stay ( 5 days) stay like we did ( 11). It is not very close to town but we didn’t mind the walk. The good things are it has a beautiful garden & our room had view to it, the staff is super friendly & great, the kitchen & fridge, and the chimney for fires. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Thank you.

Room was very comfortable and beautifully designed. We loved the proximity to the main plaza and getting around. We definitely recommend to all.

Charming hotel, short walk to the centro. Rooms were nice and beautifully decorated. Having the extra living area/kitchen was great; allowed for more room even if we didn't use the kitchen much it was nice to have the option (and the refrigerator for drinks). Hotel was quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Ate breakfast at the restaurant twice, while not quick, the service and food were great. Internet was good although much faster at night than during the day.

A beautiful, quaint and rustic hotel not far from Calle Guadelupe and the town centre. Service and amenities were great; rooms were well appointed and spacious. The only downer for us was the breakfast. The food was awful. Liked the dining room and service though...

Spent a week in San Cristobal and loved this hotel. It reminded me of being in Europe in the Alps. The room is amazing and it got cool enough the each night I was able to light a fire and enjoy the fireplace.

We booked a Jr suite, with full fridge, coffee maker (coffee, sugar creamer supplied daily plus 2 bottles water)and microwave. Because it's about 6 blocks' walk from the popular walking street, we almost changed hotels the first day. Glad we didn't when my daughter got a bit sick, and happily rested there while watching Mexican TV and making herself tea. When our bus trip to Palenque was cancelled due to political roadblocks, they graciously put us back in our same room for an extra night, since it was still open. Very helpful staff.
Lovely decor, but needs some soundproofing. The pretty stonework causes all sounds to echo and reach your room. Other noise came from 24/7 fireworks set off at nearby church, likely a problem everywhere in San C.

We stayed here after a day of visiting the Lagos de Montebello. It was a wonderful end to the day. The pool was refreshing. The restaurant was good. Each room is unique and interesting.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel with two comments. First Hotels.com indicated that there were queen sized beds here where in fact, the units with kitchens all have doubles or "matimonials". We are not used to the smaller bed, and had expected a queen. Second, the fireplaces, although they add a wonderful ambiance to the room, also feed the exhaust gases into the room itself rather than up a chimney. The room certainly heats up quickly, but one would not want to leave it on for long as the oxygen level would quickly drop. The staff was wonderful and the dining room provided a very good breakfast at a reasonable price.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were expecting a room and instead, we had a small kitchen, a charming little living space with a working fireplace, a small but adequate bedroom, a little balcony to sit on, a good bathroom and robes. Much more than we expected. It was cleaned immaculately each day. The only drawbacks I could point out were that the bed was only a double for two people which could be a little cramped and the hotel is in a fine location for anyone who can walk well, as it is just 9 short blocks down the the pedestrian street where all the activity is. However one person in our party was not able to walk well and it would have been easier for him to be closer to the pedestrian street. But as I say, if you are of normal walking ability it is a great location and just five minutes to all the action. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I went with my wife to spend new year, and we had a great experience, the hotel arrange a place so we can have a new year party, also they have a great cook, which gave us great breakfast and some dinners even though we ask for food that was not on the menu, they manage to get it from the town. Very nice experice. NOTE: The bed is very small, I was able to fit with my wife, but double check it as a recommendation to avoid surprises.

We arrived to Villas Casa Morada late at night, after 14 hours of traveling, only to find that I made the wrong reservation and we couldn't get in until the following night. The staff were amazing! This was my mistake, but they still called and arranged for us to stay in another hotel, and even carried my suitcase on the walk to the other hotel! Then they allowed us to eat and drink in their restaurant that night even though I think it was already closed. Needless to say, their friendliness, helpfulness, and kindness was incredible. They were also super helpful and kind to our friend who stayed in another apartment. We stayed there for a week and I can honestly say it was one of my favorite places to stay ever. And I've stayed in a lot of places. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment, and it was beautifully decorated and super comfortable. In fact, the whole place is beautiful. If I ever find myself back in San Cristobal, I know where I'll be staying.

Nice place. The only inconvenient is a rooster from the neighbors that sings in the night.

Excellent service, friendly staff, and perfect location. This hotel was the best find during our trip, we really enjoyed having our own little villa close to shopping and services. The staff (Roberto) was amazing and he made us feel like visiting family.

This lovely hotel is perfect for a quiet getaway. Make breakfast in your kitchette and eat it on the balcony overlooking the garden and pear tree. Relax in front of the fire before bed. Restful, tasteful decorations and a cozy bed made this my favorite hotel in Mexico.

Our room was spacious - an entire junior suite - but with only a double bed which seemed incongrous.
When we arrived the fridge had food and drink left-overs from the previous guests and the kitchen rubbish bin was full of their rubbish. The duty manager lifted the food and drink remains from the fridge but none of us thought to check the rubbish.
We only discovered that it was full when we returned from sightseeing that night to be greeted by the bin odours.
There appeared to be many better value hotels nearer the centre of town. We would definitely not stay here next time.

This was a superb stay in every way. Service was as friendly and helpful as could be, room (more like a 2-bedroom apartment) was lovely, and grounds were beautiful. It was a 10-minute walk to the center of town, but utterly worth it.

Great value for money hotel. Stayed in a suite for one night, only regret is we didn't stay there longer. Loads of space in the room and only a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Lovely town and worth at least a couple of nights stay.
