Good location if travelling from Brussels Midi

Horrible

Hotel is conveniently near the station, bed very comfortable, room clean. Shower difficult to manage, shower head loose.
Otherwise acceptable for price.

Amazing service
8.0 / 10.0
This hotel is very convenient for the Midi station, which is why we chose it. Outside there are major building and road works, which is not their fault. The hotel itself is basic but functional and the staff were very helpful. It was rather expensive for what it is compared to what we paid elsewhere.

There’s always people who’s sleeping at the entrance, garbage all around, the elevator is old, the tv doesn’t work, the images was cracked all the time, and the food is not good, only the staff is good and the room size

Great rooms and excellent service staff at the front desk.

Room had ants on table and bathroom. Mold was visible on the shower head. No shower door or curtain therefore water got bathroom floor wet. Towels were dingy. The worst bed I ever slept on. You could feel the springs. The room had a window that you could slightly open which was terrible because it was hot and stuffy in the room at night. There was a table fan that helped but it was loud. The best part of this hotel is that it was a few minutes walking from train station and from the Grand Place. There were plenty of convenient stores and eateries nearby.

The place is congested and not suitable for family. The beds were 1.5 ft width and you can hardly sleep on it.

Ok for one night if you have eaten and don’t want to go out

For the price, this hotel is superb. Very clean. Decent location (10 minutes walk to Grand Place). Helpful staff. I could be very picky about just a couple of things, but nothing crucial considering how reasonable the cost is. Great hotel.

Nice clean big rooms with excellent shower. The reception staff Mohammad was very friendly and helpful as well as the other staff we met. Highly recommend the hotel parking if you drive there. Location is very good and I would highly recommend this hotel.

The first room we were allocated had greasy food in the bed, smeared on the wardrobe doors, had a dirty, used fork inside the wardrobe (??) and was in general disrepair. The electrical socket was coming out of the wall, the lights flickered when I plugged my charger into a different socket, the table had a large crack down the middle, the floor was broken and large dirty gaps in places, walls scuffed and marked. I could go on. The receptionist changed our rooms, which was at least clean but there was an issue with that plug socket too. Overall, the place was alright for a cheap getaway to Brussels, and was very close to the Midi Train station, and we could walk to the city centre within 20 minutes, but the condition was very much in need of some improvement.

it was ok

Overall okay. Cannot say good or something, especially compared to the price. And wifi really sucks, and lift is so small.

The hotel is in the basic budget range. It is clean and convenient for the train station. The actual area is run down.

Bathroom and ventilation area with a strong smell of sewage, in front there is paving work, only the location is excellent.Bathroom with plastic curtain that gets wet everywhere, and no place to put bath items in the shower.

Decent location. Rooms are humid and not ventilated well, also a problem with tiny anys everywhere on desk and night stands.

When we arrived at this hotel (which is in a very bad part of town compounded by the fact that they are digging up the entire road/avenue this hotel sits on, we discovered they had no record of our reservation.
We had confirmed and paid for the reservation months ago via Expedia. Apparently at some point this hotel declined the reservation claiming they are closed (they are not) but we only learned of this information as we were trying to check in.
We had to call (from France with US cell phones) the Expedia service number. After 45 minutes they were luckily able to get us into another hotel in a better and safer location.
The gentleman at the front desk (who was very nice and did let us log onto the WiFi to make our call) said that this happens at least once or twice a week with Expedia reservations. Yet for some reason this hotel is still listed on Expedia and still seems to be taking money for reservations they have no intention of honoring..
Strongly advise against this hotel.

It was ok.
But the other guest upstairs made so much noise till 3am. Hence difficult to sleep at night.

The room was very hot, but the conditions were as expected (fine).

It was an average hotel. They gave us the wrong room and when we told them they told us we can’t have our actual room till tomorrow. The smell coming from the bathroom was not pleasant and was very loud when light was on in bathroom. Only two plugs in the whole room worked including one in the bathroom.. Our second room was much nicer. The breakfast was not worth it and didn’t bother eating it for the last two mornings we stayed there. Also the area itself is quiet rough. Overall the stay here was average, it’s okay for a one or two night stay..

Awful experience, from customer service to cleanliness.
Unfortunately we were in a hurry and we had to leave right after the check-in for an event. We arrived 5 hours later and saw the condition of the room and noticed the hallways of the property. Property in an terrible condition, pictures are nothing to reality. Broken and dirty walls at least in our floor. The room smelled like cigarettes although we asked for not smoking room, had exposed cables from the walls, broken-paperlike floor on the shower, cigarette butt marks all over the toilet and the matress was in a terrible state (bug yellow marks and hair). The receptionist declined to speak English to me when I asked for room change and he communicated with me only with google translator texts written from my side and not looking at me. Once his colleague arrived he started yelling towards me. I tried 3 times with EG help too but he declined to change us room as we had checked in more than 4 hours ago and when asked for Early check out and at least partial refund he also declined. It was impossible to stay in that state of a room so we ended up finding a different property in the area at midnight by ourselves and basically pay for both properties for 1 night stay.
My advice, avoid it. The area has other properties for the same budget, safer environment, better service and clean rooms.

I got robbed on the street 2 minutes away.
Showed up with blood on my fists and face and they did absolutely nothing to help me out! Dont stay here ever!

Good hotel, a lot of road work in front of the hotel. In the room you couldn’t hear it. Good room overall.

Ideally located close to the railway station and an easy walk to the city centre. Clean and tidy room.

The hotel claims to be non-smoking, but the entire 3rd floor smelled of smoke when we reached the hallway. Our room had an overwhelming smell of cologne or some sort of air freshener. I tried to air it out by opening the window, but the window only opens to a void in the middle of the building, so the is no available fresh air. In addition to the smell, the room started becoming unbareably hot even though it was about 8-9° c outside (48-49° F).
I asked to switch rooms, but was told the hotel was full. When i explained that the room was unbearable and that i would have to leave and require a refund, I was finally given a diferrent room. The new room did have an actual window that supplied fresh air, but opened to a fire escape that was shared by several other rooms. This gave me concerns for security/privacy. At one point, another guest walked past my window and into another window.

bugs in the room, no A/C. would probably not stay again.

Nothing special, as I needed to crash close to the train station. Could smell cigarette smog everywhere. It was sometimes very noisy. Impersonal hotel. I would try a different hotel close by next time.

Hotel looked in dire need of refurbishment. Bathroom was awful. The area it was located in seemed very dodgy. Would not recommend staying here at all unfortunately although the man at the front desk did let me check-in early which was nice of him.

The hotel is really nice. The way we had been in Brussels was very warm and the only thing we had was a ventilator (and I wasn’t enough). No frigobar as well to keep one water cold

We were on a sightseeing trip in Brussels, so we were looking for an affordable hotel close to Brussels Midi station and walking distance to the city centre. The hotel ticked all the boxes. After booking, I became apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, which mentioned noisy area, unsafe, with dodgy people around. First the noise: it is true that the road in front of the hotel is a building site. But we were out all day so the daytime noise did not bother us at all. At night, our room was dead quiet and we slept soundly in the king-size bed after a day of sightseeing. As for dodgy characters, it is true the area appears to be in an immigrant quarter, but at no time did we feel unsafe. We were out and about until midnight on some days. Just because people around you are from immigrant background does not make them dangerous!!! We loved the breakfast with its delicious pastries and egg served differently on each of the three days we were there. Recommend taking the breakfast option if you can - well worth the €7 extra. Other useful facilities are a reasonably priced vending machine and a water cooler (free) that also provides hot water. All in all, a good hotel that is affordable, conveniently located, with great breakfast and is recommended if you are looking for a place to rest your weary feet and have a good night's sleep after visiting the city. Of course, if you are willing to pay more you will get plenty of better hotels, but this one provides the best value.

The location was what i needed. I travelled to Charleroi airport, which has a shuttle service to Midi , only a couple of minutes from the hotel. Furthermore it is only some 15 mins walk from Gran Place. The rooms are basic but clean. I had a problem with the charge on the card to open my room and i had to keep on telling reception to open for me with the master key. Saint Gilles is a nice neighbourhood with lots of good and cheap eateries, coffee shops and tea rooms.

Completely different from the picture they have shared on the website. It was a scam. please delete this image. There were no windows in the room, no way for air to circulate. Very noisy. Not recommended at all.

Good location near to Midi/Zuid and a metro station. perfectly adequate facilities in a street which in April 2022 is undergoing massive building works, but not the hotel's fault. Served the purpose of a one night stopover.

The hotel is very dirty, unfriendly staff. Deceiving marketing. Stay away from this hotel.

I was aware that this isn't a high star hotel and I'm always prepared by bringing earplugs. From the photos it looks okay but unfortunately I have to give this hotel 1 star due to the following reasons: my room which smelled weird was connected to a closed air shaft. This made sounds echoing like crazy, I heard people talking and slamming doors until 2am. Had to get up at 7am and the room was so hot in the midst of winter. I had my window fully open because when I closed it my nose got so full I couldn't breathe. I got barely any sleep staying at this hotel.
Also the TV had no signal and the remote was missing buttons. Luckily I don't really need a TV but for those who like TV be aware! The bed was good but too short for me in length, my feet were sticking out (I'm 1.70 so not that tall). Shower was okay, I'm used to small showers. Bring your own shampoo and hairdryer though.
Hotel is in a shady neighborhood with construction works so be aware of your belongings. Midi station is nearby so very nice if you have to catch an early train. I thought I booked a room with breakfast but apparently it wasn't included. Good thing I hadn't pay beforehand. I checked out and bought breakfast at the station. Never again!
