Lovely location and the room was fantastic. Breakfast was good. The pool was dirty with lots of hairs floating around in it. The staff kept complaining it was too busy because it’s half term and it didn’t feel very welcoming. But apart for these things a great hotel for families.

We stay in a room with balcony with beautiful sea views. The hotel was nice and food was an ok standard. I enjoyed the cocktail bar.

We came and stayed a couple of weeks ago just the two of us. We then decided it was such a great family hotel, so we rebooked to bring our two children. They had so many lovely Halloween activities for the children!
We visited the pool before we checked out, the only thing I would say is the pool and jacuzzi is in need of a good clean and possible filter change. Everything else I couldn’t fault, the service was amazing and food was great too! We would definitely return and are already thinking of booking for new year.

Prompt and efficient check in. Receptionist needs to show a bit of warmth about her. They take £50 off you by card payment in addition to anything else that youve aid, which I think is cheeky, especially as we incurred no extra charges whilst staying overnight. Room spacious and comfortable but the bed not so. Was like sleeping on the floor. Nice place decent bar area. Limited cramped parking (used the street) on the front. Would stay here again.

What a hotel. So much for families and children all included, parks, arts and crafts, games tables, silent disco, pool and sauna, board games, buckets and spades, milk cookies and bed time stories for the kids at reception, stunning views, staff excellent, hotel was clean and friendly. Would 100% recommend.
4.4
Lovely hotel with great amenities in a brilliant location. Swimming pool is small but has a jacuzzi and sauna. Lots of things to keep the children occupied

Lovely hotel - great food- great location and very friendly staff

Great hotel for families and very child friendly orientated.. The hotel and room was very clean throughout and spacious.
The staff were very helpful throughout our stay and will definitely go back again for a mini break.
Food could be better with a more extensive menu.
4.4
Great stay and the room was perfect for me staying down for business, car park was limited but lots of parking on the road just outside the hotel, breakfast was expensive so chose not to take that option on both days but overall a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely, family friendly hotel

On arrival no parking space at all when I ask reception about she literally laugh in my face (she was a supervisor ) and not nice person at all . apart a gentleman on the desk and younger late evening reception the was lovely. Apart of that rather awful . The lady from breakfast absolutely lovely. The breakfast in average unfortunately. What is only good about it is the location the view and extremely clean rooms . And the pool very small, jacuzzi extremely hot with out Remote control. So if you after room with view perfect . Rest of it not so much

The facilities were excellent, the staff were very helpful, kids activity and pool were a hit with children, even the people who were staying at the hotel were very friendly. The breakfast service was exceptional apart from one morning, we was 5 mins late and was told they close for breakfast at 10.30pm and refused us hot breakfast but could help ourselves to some cereal and cold breakfast. Maybe the hotel should refrain from taking booking for 10.30am breakfast.
Claudia (management) was very helpful and always greeted you with a smile. Be careful that your not late checking out because then that smile turns into frustration as you will be threatened with a fine for being late, but she did help us check out quickly by taking our luggages downstairs. Parking spaces are tight for large vehicles. Cinema room had a damp smell and the lift was temperamental at times also had a fishy smell. These are only minor hiccups but that can be fixed easily.
My family had the best time and will always recommend my friends and family to go and stay at the Esplanade. I am already thinking about booking for next year. Thank you all the staff at the esplanade.

Very nice hotel with excellent views of the sea. Lots of things lots of things for the kids to do at the hotel really nice food welcoming staff can’t wait to go back next year 😁

This is a nice, friendly place for families with small children who want to enjoy the beach. Breakfast was expensive. Staff is excellent. Beautiful views of Fistral Beach, but not a luxurious hotel.
4.4
The beds are extremely comfortable.
The range of beverages in the room were comprehensive, but the milk sachets not very user friendly.
Couldn't find radio stations on t.v. in room128

Great spot for a surf, very nice hotel with incredible views
4.4
Great place for families. Clean rooms, soft play, outside play, swimming pool, cinema and milk and cookies at night. Book breakfast as there is no where near by to eat. Also pre-book parking as the free parking outside is taken up by beach goers.

Great service. Beatiful destiation.

Extremely good family hotel

Great hotel with options for the whole family.

Really nice hotel close to the beach easy to get to clean nice staff and good service thank you!

Good breakfast started late though at 7:30 onwards overall and enjoyed my stay parking very difficult car park is first come first served about 15 to 20 spaces that includes the ones that you can pay for ahead of time you can park on the main road but where the beach is right next to it most of the time otherwise enjoyed my stay very much but the parking was a big issue for me I did book it ahead of time, but I never really took the part. Wouldn’t park in the in the town, full of drunks after a certain time, not very safe
4.4
Really good hotel, great views, good food options and comfortable cocktail bar and outside sun terrace.
Only downside is no air con in the rooms which made them very warm (after a sunny day at 20 degrees.
4.4
Lovely hotel and the room was spacious and clean. There were two issues, however:
1. The room was very hot at night and, apart from the door leading out to the patio, no way of cooling it down.
2. Very, very limited parking spaces. The road outside had free parking spaces but always seemed to be full with cars belonging to people visiting the beach.
4.4
Great hotel in a great location. Food and drink all of a good standard. All staff were extremely courteous, friendly and efficient.
4.4
Great hotel right on the beach, super friendly staff. Great breakfast and perfect for dogs. We loved it!

This place really has thought of the children first making a wonderful family holiday location. Little touches in the rooms, in the activities and throughout made it feel like the children were truly welcome and they had a wonderful time. The beach is so close and the borrow a beach toys box is genius and saves money and the environment. So much to do we were sad to come home and would definitely book again.

We had a lovely visit to Newquay, the weather was great and the hotel was perfect!

Excellent in every way

We came for a family break and stayed for 3 days.
The staff were so friendly and helpful which made it a nice atmosphere.
We really loved how it’s completely set up for children, this definitely took the stress of parenting off us.
We really loved the cookie and milk before bed.
I would recommend this hotel to a friend but advise to only stay for a short period of time.
4.4
Perfect escape to the coast. It was a last minute decision to go for a coastal break with the dog. The staff were very welcoming and had the room set up beautifully to make us feel at home. The dog had her own bed waiting for her, along with a treats pack 😊
4.4
Very kid friendly. The staff were very nice. The facility is a little old, the floors creak when you walk, and the most difficult part is the amount of unnatural fragrance they have in the room -- I assume to cover any dank smells. My family is very sensitive to these kinds of unnatural, chemical smells. Literally, my tongue hurt all night.
4.4
Sadly not the experience we had hoped for.
4.4
What a family friendly hotel. Would definitely recommend to others with young children and so close to the beach too! From soft play, to the cinema, swimming and milk and a biscuit in the evening what more could you ask for. Only thing I would do next time is ask for a room thats not dog friendly. Very clean though and lovely child friendly products in the bath too.

2nd Stay for and this is an absolute gem if you have kids and want a relaxing stay. Clean, friendly and completely focused on kids so it’s absolutely ideal - close to fistral beach and amazingly clean and friendly- we will be back
4.4
Nice hotel lovely room overlooking the beach.
Don’t book this hotel during half term or school holidays unless you have children 🙁
4.4
On arrival the outside of the building looks a bit tired, but it looks like it's been refurbished recently to a very high standard. The room and public areas all very nice.
Great service from the reception staff
4.4
Great staff made to feel really welcome. We would happily stay here again to take advantage of the surfing schools nearby. Whilst we didn't have breakfast the food looked incredible and it was only a short walk into town to have an evening meal. Again lots of options for evening meal and very happy with our stay overall.
4.4
The reception team was very friendly.
The rooms are very small compared to what they look in pictures. The bed was very uncomfortable however the view was great if you wish to take Seaview room.
Parking is a major problem if you want to park at hotel only have 11 spaces which are usually packed. Cars parked on double yellow and very narrow street
Breakfast was average not much options and same menu everyday
