An older resort as the all are in Paihia. We chose a bigger unit which had a loft room that we never used. We were on the upper floor that had an outlook over a carpark. Not thae exiting a stay. Place needs some work.

Handy location as a venue for BOI Jazz N Blues Festival. Got a early check in which was great. We didn't spend much time in the room was clean N tidy. Comfy king bed. Good value breakfast.

On the night of Matariki, we were staying at this hotel when some strangers started banging on our door in the middle of the night. We were terrified, and our child woke up crying. We couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. When we checked out and reported the incident to the management, they dismissed our concerns, saying that it was Matariki and that everyone in the area tends to be drunk and act strangely. We felt very unsafe during our stay.

Room was nice. However the tv only had 9 channels and the quality was absolutely awful probably 720p could also do with a small upgrade by adding a chrome cast. Showers were alright. If you’re taller than 6ft you’ll probably have an issue as the shower is fixed to the wall. Breakfast is a buffet but not the best one I’ve had. First day we arrived just an hour and 15min before the end of service and there was no hot food available. Only toast and cereal. There was a big queue for any hot food that came out. Second morning we came to breakfast at 6:30am. Meal options average. Hash browns. Tiny basic sausages, baked beans, “yolky” scrambled eggs, mushrooms, plain mini croissants. Pastries were good but there weren’t many. No smart tv options.

The property is surrounded by green, close enough to the beach that you can walk, but there is no view from your room. The property is bit old, and not very clean, we found the previous guest earings on the night stand. Rooms are small but with high ceiling, "neigbours" can be loud if they choose to chat sitting outside. Staff are helpful and very friendly.

Booked a 3 day stay in the New Year. Room was large but dated. Outside the room on the patio was a decomposing dead bird. Black mould on the bathroom ceiling and spots on the walls. Room was not serviced on the first day so I queried this with reception who explained that due to being 4 house keepers short the room wasn’t cleaned. They offered me replacement towels. The manager later called and offered to clean the room, this was done around 9pm. Although the bins weren’t emptied and replacement tea/coffee not provided. The next day the same situation. The room wasn’t serviced by 6pm so I spoke with reception who said it would be cleaned. This happened around 7pm. On my final morning water was coming through the ceiling from the upstairs bathroom (through a light socket). Puddle of water in the bathroom. I informed the manager who was at reception and fed back on the issues experienced. She was apologetic and blamed issues with the laundry company for delays cleaning rooms. This differed to what I was told previously. I slept poorly for all 3 nights that I stayed due to the poor sound proofing of the room. I was woken each morning by the stomping of feet and closing of cupboards and doors. This needs addressing. Hotels guests smoking weed outside their room on the second day. Disappointing stay. Avoid. Overpriced and under-delivered

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location, walkable to the beach but far enough away to be quiet in the evenings. Restaurant served a decent breakfast and the dinner offerings were limited, but great quality.

The property was well maintained and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The rooms provided all amenities mentioned on the site, so no surprises. Our unit (2 queens) was very roomy. Aside from the dated rooms, my only complaint has to do with noisy neighbors; we shared a door with them which made for less sound proofing. It was nothing a little white noise couldn't fix. Overall, we had a good experience and would definitely stay there again.
