The room was huge for the price (King Premium), approximately 450 sq ft, which was perfect for us to spread out and sort / reorg our luggage. Bfast was a good selection and easy to navigate. Staff was eager and willing to help in anyway they could. There was a gate on the property to the Kalare night market, which also has a small Muy Thai stadium, It is a longer walk (1.2k) to the old city.

What a fabulous place! Our room was spacious and clean, and the staff lovely and helpful. My son and I had excellent massages at the on-site spa. There was a lavish spread at breakfast. And as a pleasant surprise, we were able to cut through the parking lot to the Main Street where a night market was held. I would definitely return here on a return trip to Chiang Mai.

This hotel is amazing. The staff are so helpful and just wonderful. The hotel is fantastic with a great belly buffet and lovely pool area. I will stay here when I come back to Chiang Mai!!!!

Well appointed hotel next to a night market

1) the aircon system is so old n noisy. Unless you can survive without aircon in the tropical weather, it roaring noise constantly was unbearable and unpleasant. 2) I rate it as paying a 5 star hotel rate for a 3 star hotel experience, especially by Chang Mai standard. I thought i would get a comfortable & restful & pleasant stay in Chang Mai. Disappointingly, none of that i experienced. 3) tried to ring front desk on at least 3 occasions on the first 2 days, it rang out and no answer and no call back. Until another try at 1:30/2 am as really couldnt sleep due the noisy aircon then finally got a response; yet hotel couldnt solve the problem which appeared that they were well aware that their old aircon system noisy issue or at least had had complaints before. 4) the restaurant downstairs was packed to being unpleasant the 4 mornings that i was there, felt like more of a 3-star group tour class hotel. I chose not to dine there. 5) it is right next to a night market and not many 5-star hotel class appropriate range of restaurants or bars 6) the 1.2 m deep only pool and was used by kids, perhaps due to the kids pool was closed for repair. Again for a 5 star hotel, one would expect at least one if not more decent swimming pools. 7) as i checked in, the room rate that i was charged for a Melia room (which was the lowest grade) through a Hotels.com booking was the going rate of a premium suite at time online. I didnt feel the hotel was trying to improve that disappointment.

Very large rooms with lovely bathroom, big shower area. The mattress was extremely comfortable! Lovely pool & many options for a delicious breakfast. Location is very good, short walk to night markets. Would stay here again!

The property is beautiful. Rooms are spacious and modern. The staff is incredible - friendly and attentive, remembering our drink order each time we visited the bar and also that it was our honeymoon. Location is walkable and we were able to visit multiple night markets. 10/10 highly recommend. Top notch experience.

Service offerings are limited compared to other 5 star hotels in Thailand House keeping is inconsistent Tv in the room barely works, remote control in some times responsive and chrome cast always drops out and then issues with trying to reconnect Your welcome drink is a glass of water nothing else not even a cold towel Guest services argue with you upon leaving a review

Our stay at Melia was at the end of our honeymoon. We were able to get the rest we needed. The spanish touch is lovely. The rooftop was nice, top level section was closed due to low season though (my stay June 8-10). My wife is from Chiang Mai so after a round of drinks and snack on the roof--prices are high though as well is quality--we went to a bar my wife likes, Melodic Bar which is right across the street for dinner and local live music entertainment. Very much to do in walking distance. Breakfast is 5 star. We'll be back for another stay.

Just steps away from the largest night market in Chiang Mai. The rooms are very large and very clean and newly renovated. The ceilings in the main wing are very low. I’m short so it didn’t matter to me but if you are over 6ft tall you may hit your head LOL. The staff were super nice. I would definitely stay here again!!

From arriving to leaving the staff where very attentive very polite nothing was a problem can not fault the staff or hotel as a whole a 2min walk from the bustle of the night market and a 15min taxi ride to the main shopping area (central festival) the food in the hotel restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced would highly recommend staying here 5star experience

This is the first time I stayed at this hotel. I like the decor very much. Staff was attentive and professional. Breakfast had a good selection and was tasty. Room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

From exciting car on arrival to departing the property, the entire staff were nothing but respectful, helpful, and very pleasant. The Appearance of the facility was modern, clean and taken care of. Rooms were spacious clean and had many amenities to enjoy and relax. Dining and cocktail areas were equal in appearance and staff professionalism. Over All I highly recommend a stay here.
