Beautiful setting , fantastic pool , very secluded but service at the hotel was non existent , very , very limited menu at the restaurant ( rat bait in the corner) Poor transport from the hotel , only one way . Some of the staff were most unhelpful and didn't seem to care . We left after two days and went elsewhere for our last three days .

Although we wouldn't rate this as a 4 star hotel, our stay here was just perfect for our requirements of as a 2 day stopover on return to UK from NZ. Our villa did look a bit tired with some paint flaking off the walls. All the villas have good privacy due to being built on a steep hillside and the grounds are really nice to walk around....there are also a couple of good viewing points of the river below. We didn't leave the hotel on this visit due to the weather (it was monsoon season) and found the restaurant more than adequate.

We loved how quiet and peaceful it was. The staff was extremely friendly and always helpful.
We suggest offering a shuttle service to the nearby villages since it is remote from them. Also, there is smoke from burning trash that isn’t pleasant to breathe and finally the wifi signal was very weak. We still really enjoyed our time here!

Great hotel, overlooking the river. The villas are lovely and spacious and kept nice and clean. The plunge pool is a really good size with a day bed next to it. The main pool is gorgeous, loved it, had it too ourselves most days.
Drawbacks - there is not much close by, they do drop off in Ubud once a day but you have to make your own way back or book the driver.
kIe pride itan my job and my position here at Valley View and endeavour to complete all my work to the best of my ability.

What an amazing hotel!! What amazing staff !! They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Even cooked a Christmas Dinner for us and served it privately by the pool! We had a two bedroom villa it was clean ,very spacious , comfortable beds with a private pool ! We had a large dining room table , where they served meals at no extra cost. And they provided us a private driver Buddy who was amazing . We would highly recommend this hotel

Wonderful quiet place away from the madness looking out over the hills.
It looks exactly like the photos.
As with mostly everywhere in Bali, the staff are amazing.
The hotel driver Wayan speaks great English & is more than happy to explain the Balinese culture & practices.
We stayed here for our first of the three weeks - we are now spoilt for anywhere else.
Will definitely stay here again if we come back to Bali, but will make it our last stop :)

Service at Bali Masari was outstanding! We had booked a cycle for the morning which somebody else had taken & staff went out of their way to find us a driver and waited for our return even when delayed. Very polite and helpful staff. The serenity and seclusion of the villas is an absolute highlight. They are so spacious & private plunge pool is a very nice touch. Only limitations are distance from places and lack of range of choices from breakfast & dinner menus. Overall a tranquil and relaxing getaway with amazing staff!

Good spacious rooms. Great private pool with a nice view. Great service. They were very helpful. Breakfast was good but the dinner options could need an improvement especially since there is far to another restaurant.

Was lovely. Although it rained a lot the pool could still be used. The staff were very curtious and friendly. The food in the restaurant was also very good.

Great service - Everyone greets you with a smile on their face and in general the staff is very friendly and helpful. Had a two bedroom villa, wich was very spacious and great for our family of four. Hotel is a little remote - so a car is needed to move around (we rented a car with a driver - which turned out as a good decision as traffic and roads are impossible). Breakfast options limited but good. Overall, a good hotel choice.

I knew from other reviews it was isolted but even a walk into Sokawati is not exciting and no decent eating optinns. Food in resort is OK if a bit overpriced Drinks are overpriced for Bali. During our stay the only other guets were groups of Chinese on tour. They only ate in the hotel for breakfast so dinner times were desperately quiet. Rooms OK but the whole place has seen better days and desperately needs an upgrade. If you want somewhere really quiet and are prepared to hire drivers and tour each day it might be your thing

We had a wonderful time at the Bali Masari - We went there for peace, quiet and relaxation and it is perfect for that. It is very easy to hire a car with a driver for the day for trips out to the local Art Market or to visit temples, silver/goldsmiths or the beach. It is also only a short drive to more touristy areas.
The staff are friendly and very helpful. The setting is beautiful - some amazing views from our balcony and the pool area. It seems most visitors go out sightseeing during the day so we often had the pool area to ourselves. The onsite spa offers massages etc and the treatment room is open to a beautiful view of the valley.
Would definitely recommend for couples or people wanting a quiet, relaxing break.

Though good property this hotel is just too remote. Unless your idea of vacation is to be holed up in one place , I would not recommend it for tourists who are interested to go out for sight-seeing and other activities. The restaurant had limited menu so if you had to stay indoor for more than 2 days and if you are a vegetarian , you could starve. Not suitable for family's with small kids as they would get bored.

Facilities: Nice ; Value: Great deal; Service: Flawless; Cleanliness: Pleasant;

Bali Masari is surrounded by vegetation and overlooks a river with stunning views. The villas are in traditional Balinese style and well equipped in a small compound with a 15m swimming pool, spa and restaurant
Ideally located to visit sites from the south and east of the island with the northern sites a two hour drive, with so much to see en route that you enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
Its a short drive to the beach with great restaurants and bars
From our collection at the airport to the daily cleaning of our villa we could not fault the customer service in any way. Its best to arrange a car and driver through the villa who will take you anywhere on the island that you want. Its good value and the driver will find many places for you to see that otherwise you may have missed. When our son needed a jab when a monkey nipped him with its teeth, he took us to get the vaccination that evening, even though it was late and he had long finished for the day, and refused to be paid for the work!
One or two things to be aware of, the cooking facilities are fairly simple in the villas, kettle and microwave, so expect to eat out most evenings. The restaurant is reasonably priced and enjoyable. Each villa does have a well-stocked and reasonably priced minibar
.
The resort is perfect for couples or families, as a base to visit the island or relax. It’s not ideal if you want to spend your entire holiday on a beach or in clubs, but for us it was perfect.
