Staying at this Riad was an amazing experience from start to finish. The host is incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure everything goes smoothly. The Riad consists of several houses, and we stayed in the Zineb, which was fantastic. One of the highlights was the included breakfast—a complete buffet that really made a difference. They also offer traditional hammams at very reasonable prices, which is a nice addition.
The location is central, the team is super thoughtful, and the rooms are very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Marrakech.

We had one lovely night here as we arrived from a tour bus and left the following morning for our plane but it was a very comfortable night. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the location in the heart of the Medina is great. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The place is beautiful, the service 10 of 10, the stuff was incredible helpful. We just loved every second at Riad Karmela!!

We stayed at the Riad for three nights with my two year old. The staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us- we were made to feel very welcome and felt at home. The transfer from the airport was easy and quick and the driver munir was very friendly and helpful. All reception staff were great and always happy to help, my son was made to feel welcome and staff were great with him! The breakfast was nice and varied. We stayed in the suite with private terrace and enjoyed our stay throughly and would book again without a doubt. The Riad is nestled in the old town so taxis are hard to get you may need to walk a little to get one however tuk tuks are readily available and can be arranged via reception.
Good value for money and the riad it self is decorated nicely and very spacious.

Service/Facilities were not on par with the daily room rate charged - low in terms of value.
Staff were available for help, but were cold and at times rude. My family and I did not feel comfortable with the interactions (and we visited 8 cities and hotels- mostly Riads/Dars during our 2 week trip to Morocco)
Breakfast was a disappointment. Slim pickings and did not feel they were freshly prepared. Omlettes ordered took 20 mins. to deliver. No smile on faces of staff.
AC was barely able to keep up with the Marrakesh Aug heat, was comfortable at nights but was uncomfortable to stay in the room during afternoons, even with AC on.
Location is deep inside the old city, and a minimum walk time of 15 mins needed to access cars. The property charges for handcarts to bring/dispatch bags to locations accessible by cars. On the other hand, the location is walkable from/to places of interest in the medina.
Property may not be right nor families, as staff was intolerant to noises created by/due to children in just the one instance it happened (compared to experience in 7 others Roads/Dars/hotels)

Wonderful riad, quirky but really cool design. Our apartment had a private roof terrace which was just lovely. The staff members are polite and super helpful. Breakfast was included and offered a decent spread. All together, a wonderful experience!

I got in late and was greeted by the hotel staff at my taxi. I was upgraded to the Hassan suite and was very pleased with the accommodations and the hotel environment and staff. I enjoyed the personal guide Aziz who showed me a memorable experience. The rooftop breakfast was excellent. When I return I will be staying there. Thank You staff for your hospitality.

We only stayed for one night and besides the harassment we encountered by some young men not related to the riad as we walked from the parking lot, the riad offered some peace and tranquility. If you come with a car be aware of the fact that there is no parking on site, you will have to park your car and walk inside the medina to get to the riad. The parking attendants are a bunch of young men who will tell you that GPS does not work in the medina, they will start walking to escort you to the riad even if you don't request this, only to demand you tip them at the end. They are very aggressive and it's almost impossible to shake them off. Needless to say if you don't tip them the amount that they think is reasonable they will harass you and cause undue stress. Once you enter the riad though it's pretty serene and our room was very quiet despite being on the ground floor. The riad has a restaurant on the rooftop where you could have lunch/dinner and it's the same place where breakfast is served. Don't waste your time eating here for lunch/dinner, the food was mediocre at best. Breakfast was ok, buffet style, nothing special.

Had a lovely stay at Riad Karmela the staff are nothing short of fantastic and I felt very comfortable and well catered to. Nothing but praise for the Riad and the hosts. Love it!

Amazing staff! So helpful. Worth using them for airport transport as the area they are in is only accessible by car in one specific spot. Easy walk to the big market.

Very sweet riad. Well appointed. Service was lovely.

The space is charming as a collection of homes turned into two neighboring properties, hidden way in the middle of the busy market of old town. It’s great as you can walk a few minutes to many of the tourist sites (Madrassa Ben Youseff, Secret Garden, etc). The staff will also arrange any trips, taxis or other outings you might want.
But the real highlight is the hospitality—I arrived with two sprained ankles after tripping in Tangier. After the welcome tea and cookies shared with all guests, Amine additionally brought me a bag of ice and two ointments for my legs. He also got us set for dinner on the premises so I didn’t need to go out (something we had originally declined). This was just day one—from there Amine and Omar did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay despite my injury. I can’t thank them all enough! I will absolutely recommend to anyone traveling to Marrakech—it is invaluable to stay with kind, caring people when traveling abroad and running into difficult challenges

This traditional Morrocan hotel was extremely comfortable and the staff was welcoming and helpful at every turn…once one gets there. It is truly in the heart of the massive Souk, and one must desire and be prepared for a unique cultural experience of this traditional area in order to get safely ensconced in the room. The room/suite itself was lovely, quiet, and comfortable.

The Riad well positioned in the Medina and is beautifully decorated in the traditional Moroccan style. The bedroom, the buffet breakfast and lunch/dinner dining options were very good. But above all, the reason I have given the 5 star rating is because of the hotel staff. They went above and beyond and offered the best service I have experienced. Always available, always attentive and always considerate. Thank you Amine, Fatima and all the other members of staff who made our stay wonderful and truly memorable.
Tanmert! Choukran!

Liked the location and friendliness of staff. Walkable distance to main square Jamaa El Fna. Many good food and shopping options around the place.

It is my first time in Morocco, and Riad Karmela made a good impression. Living in the center of the Medina was itself an experience. I would like to experience it again in the future. However, the downside is the unstable internet. I hope they could improve that for future guests.

This is a great immersive experience if you are visiting with an ambitious group of people. I would recommend staying at this location again. The staff are very friendly and provide you with tea and cookies upon arrival. The breakfast at this location is fantastic. However, do keep in mind that the wifi connection is unreliable, which could pose concerns.

Extraordinary customer service. We received amazing customer service from Fatima and Saeed. The Riad is beautiful, the location is great, and the food good. But the best part for me was the customer service.

No hot water and the facilities are very minimum. That said, there is not much around to choose from in this area. The breakfast was okay.

right in the center of the Medina close to everything. breakfast was decent. We were put up in one of their sister Riad a couple of blocks away. quieter than the main Riad.
Overall a nice stay.

The best riad we had on this trip. It’s not just an accommodation but an art gallery. The service is good, the atmosphere is great, the dinners are super!

Our stay at the Riad Karmela was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful location in the Medina and close to many sites and restaurants. The food at the Riad was excellent, including the breakfast. What we enjoyed most was all the staff, they were wonderful people with good hearts and made our time great. Very knowledgeable and helpful and made our first time to Morocco very joyful. Make sure you go stay there! And thank you Riad Karmela!

I would consider it a nice 3 star Riad (not 4 star). The Riad itself is very nice and the staff is kind (tip them well). The dinners are pretty reasonable and wifi works well. The Rias is also quite peqceful.
The major issue with the Riad is location.
Property is close to some mosques so morning prayers are very loud and a good night's sleep was difficult even with earplugs.
The property is north of the square but we ended up walking south of the square most days. Taxis are a 10 minute hike through the Medina (dodging motorbikes and tuk tuks and touts and people). We've had a taxi refuse to take us to the drop off square and another who couldn't find it. We finally discovered that having the Riad schedule a tuk tuk was the way to make things more convenient.

Great location and service was friendly. Unfortunately the wifi wasn't very good which was important for us. Very walkable, safe and quiet.

Would stay again.

The staff at the Karmela were super friendly and helpful. The Riad was beautiful and the meals delicious. We booked all our excursions at the front desk and everything couldn’t have gone more smoothly.
I highly recommend them.
