We had a great experience. No issues in our suite. Comfortable beds, clean room, everything worked as expected. Our view was gorgeous.

This is our second time staying at Residence Inn and we love it. We’ll be staying there again when we visit Portland next year.

Great for a family stay!

Have lots of bug bites after staying here. Hopeful it’s coincidental and not a bed bug situation. Was also charged for items I didn’t charge to my room. Awaiting a refund.

I wish parking was free or more reduced than it was per day. The pull out couch had no sheets and no bedding in the room so check on that. When I called they were very quick to bring it up however. Dishwasher is super loud and we could smell smoke in our bathroom from the person next door smoking in a smoke free hotel. We also were on the patio area and it could get loud sometimes and you still had to walk around to get there. We anlso wished they had an hot tub as their pool was cold! Overall great location short walk to everything and an enjoyable stay.

Overall a nice hotel. Convenient location with a lot of our interests in walking distance. Parking was a bit pricey but it seems to be the standard these days.

From checkin on a rainy night to checkout on a busy morning we were completely sssisted by staff. Brandon patiently answered many of my queries about takeout, weird room coffee maker and access to delivery. The kitchen was a huge plus and very clean—when the dishwasher wasn’t working they sent someone up to fix it right away.
Loved the local access to everything we needed as a family of 3 (2 little ones). We could walk to the antique railroad, ferry, any of the many great restaurants and be home for a good rest. Breakfast was busy but also a huge help and very well run.
In addition the pool facilities were much cleaner than most I’ve been too. Very impressed and will certainly be back.

We had a wonderful time here and appreciated the friendly staff, location, cleanliness and the morning breakfasts.

I paid $30/night extra for the room with Harbor view, and the room we got had a view of a building with the Harbor view. This hotel does not really have any Harbor view as it is located two blocks from the harbor with buildings between the hotel and the harbor. When I brought up this issue to the receptionist, she refused to adjust the rate.
If you care about the view, stay in a different hotel. If you do not care about the view, do not overpay for the rooms advertised as having the Harbor View. This is a misleading advertisement.

Spent 2 ngts in Portland on the tail end of vaca. MRInn Great location, full kitchen, nice towels, awesome breakfast spread. All and all good value. Gym, pool, laundry. P and FD staff were super helpful. We will be back and to stay longer. I would ask for a room on a higher floor, although we arrived at noon and took the room that was ready. One surprising thing was that there were no USB charging ports anywhere. Plenty of other outlets. Portland is a very easy city to walk and drive around. And safe. Walked down to East End Beach around 630 one am. I asked to Luke’s and to get Ice cream (okay twice). Parking fee is kind of a drag, but convenient to getting to S PL and Fort Williams. (Nice park!) the PLHouse museum is a must too.

I was charged for fees they have yet to explain to me. I have called and left messages for the manager who refuses to call me back to explain the extra fees they charged to my credit card.

Great location and hotel. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Always greeted us at we entered the building. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was comfy and we slept very well. The kitchenette was well equipped.
Bathroom was clean and up to date. So many dining options and shopping was abundant. We would definitely stay again. It was close to the harbor walk and had beautiful views.

It would be wonderful if the garage would be accessible by a skywalk from the hotel. You need a potato peeler, a cheese grater and some mixing bowls in the kitchenette.

Mackenzie at the front desk is awesome! She made suggestions remembered us and made us feel welcome. A true gem of service and hospitality.
Breakfast was expansive with options sit in or take away to room.
Excellent location to stay if you are visiting and don’t want a car or have a rental and want to travel.
Travel as tourists often and will recommend if traveling to Maine or just Portland. Cheers

They overbooked the weekend and then forced me to another location across the street, separating me from my friends that I traveled with. I received a smaller room and they did not offer any reconciliation such as: free breakfast, etc….

An outdated property but great location that serves our family purpose and needs. Staff was friendly; although no one really smiled with the exception of the front desk when we inquired to update our key cards. We are not sure if we stay here next time. May need to opt to a newer facility. Pros included pet friendly, pool and free breakfast. My little one did enjoy anll three and all three did put a smile on her face. Cushions on couches were old and didn’t feel clean. We have been frequenting this area for the last 7-8 years and have stayed here each time. Many great family memories but I think we may have outgrown this hotel. We prefer clean and new. Wished the lobby smell was the smell in our room.

Although the hotel was labeled pet friendly and there was no mention of a charge on the hotels website, we were informed of one on check-in.
This is a problem

I go to Portland for 2 nights every April school vacation with my grandkids. We have stayed at different hotels and the Residence Inn is the best. The pool is the nicest for the kids. The room has a kitchen so we can cook in a bit. The breakfast is great. The staff was friendly. It is clean. It is in walking distance to restaurants and the water front. The only thing that was amiss slightly (probably due to staff shortages found in most every business these days) was that we requested bedding for the pull out sofa and it never was delivered. I went down before bed time to the desk and got it myself. They said they would send up pillows. The pillows never came. We were fine...my only criticism.

We ended up staying here very last minute due to a snow storm. We showed up at 11:30 pm after booking online and we were greeted and checked in quickly, she was also able to add our Marriott membership to the account. Due to the continuing inclement weather we asked for a late checkout and then were even allowed to take a few meetings from the board room since it was not in use after we checked out. Overall a very welcoming and convenient experience, saving us a lot of stress and the complimentary breakfast was great as well! 10/10 recommend!

What we didn't like was that our king bed suite was in fact a "hotel king" which was a queen in measurement. Shame on Marriott!

It's our favorite hotel to stay at when traveling to Portland. We love the across the board feel about everything this hotel has to offer. Thames St. gravel parking lot run by the city is a mere minute walk away. $10 a day for up to fifteen days. Just make sure the kiosk takes your card. I used my Visa CC and I didn't realize that the card was denied because it just went back to the main screen without saying denied. I got a parking ticket within the first hour. Went online to find out the card was denied, used a different card and it worked and went to a receipt screen this time. So, wait for the receipt screen people!

The room is sold as a harbor view but you have to look around the building to see the water it’s down the street a few blocks not what I would consider a harbor view
