Nice room with Japanese decorations and helpful staff

Beautiful grounds greet toward the main entrance. Well appointed amenities and eager staff in assisting you with any of your needs. The tea and coffee service in the lounge is divine as well as the massage chairs across the hall. Good breakfast buffet with a broad range of options.

Hotel Niwa is a beautiful peaceful oasis in a HUGE bustling city like Tokyo. It is an absolute gem from the minute you enter. The thought and detail put into the breakfast, relaxation areas and rooms are outstanding. The breakfast is by far the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had, with Japanese and western options available. Breakfast was by far our best meal while visiting Tokyo. The front desk staff are so kind, caring, and accommodating. They even packed us a to go breakfast box with an array of French pastries & breads the day we had to wake up at 5 am for a Mt. Fuji excursion. We will definitely stay here again,

My favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Friendly staff, amazing amenities, and quiet, convenient location near the train stations. My favorite was the complimentary tea every night and massage chairs! I’ll stay here every time I’m in Tokyo.

Hotel was ok, but not central. Room was also very small.

Trees and water surrounding the hotel gives it a country feeling in the middle of Tokyo. Situated away from the main streets also
makes it feel like in a country setting.
The room is clean and the bed is comfortable.
Try the breakfast, it is good.
The staff is friendly.

Great location, good food, nice amenities, wonderful friendly service.

Community amenities were beautiful with a roof top, zen garden, and an open space to read or get work completed. The staff was very helpful and kind throughout our stay. We also successfully did luggage forwarding to this hotel with no issues.
Not sure if it's just our room, but the bathroom did not smelled musty throughout our entire stay.

Good quality room but it’s too tiny for two pax in a standard double room.

Always enjoy staying at Hotel Niwa. It’s a western style hotel with all the comforts, and in a part of Tokyo that isn’t terribly congested, but still has easy access to major train lines and stations.

Great service and professionality.

Lovely hotel and despite not being in the center of things it was fairly easy to connect to the train within a 7-8 min walk. Plenty of convenience stores and vending machines (that my kids were addicted to) on the way to the station. Loved the nice touch in the traditional rooms. Laundry room is helpful though it was always busy. I don't think the 2 machines were sufficient. We had to spend a lot of time waiting.

Nothing bad to say about our stay, very pleasant experience, western style room size, modern building, enjoyed the massage chairs. I would stay again.

The staff was friendly, polite, helpful. Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. We were very appreciative of the relaxation floor. All hotels should have this feature.

Great location very close to the Tokyo Dome. Very stylish and pretty room with great view. There was a television for the bathtub. This was also the only hotel on our whole trip that had coin laundry on the premises rather than just the expensive laundry services. Very cool relaxation room with massage chairs open 24hrs. I used the massage chairs both nights of our stay. Has a gym but I wish it had some weights as well as cardio equipment. They helped arrange our transportation to the airport. All in all a great experience.

I love this oasis. It’s my 2nd time here. Everything you need and a beautiful vibe to go with it. The gardens really make it special.

Great hotel in a quiet area with walkable dinning options as well as train stations

From the outside, the place looks great. You get into the room, not only is it small, but there was a bad odour coming from the bathroom and upon inspecting, I discovered there was mold all over the shower head. Immediately checked out and moved to another hotel.
As a VIP member, I didn't receive a room upgrade or any of the benefits. They said ai would get a 1,000 yen breakfast voucher yet as a platinum member, breakfast is free. They don't honour hotel status at all.
Unless you want to risk getting sick or just wasting your money, I WOULD NOT STAY HERE EVER!

This was a gem among Tokyo’s logging offerings, a small but comfortable place known for affordability and great Japanese and western breakfasts. No more: Those positives are more or less all gone, and this will likely be my last stay at Hotel Niwa Tokyo.
Cases in point: 4,000-yen breakfast and a standard double room whose daily rate could go above 30,000 yen. Hotel Niwa is preying on you. Few international visitors would notice this because the establishment hides its tactic behind the yen’s weakness. When those high prices are translated into dollars for example they appear reasonable to many perhaps. But the fact remains that no local Japanese residents would pay 4,000 yen for a hotel breakfast. I didn’t and ate my breakfast at a nearby restaurant paying less than 1,000 yen.
Moreover, the hotel eliminated Japanese breakfast altogether awhile ago, which was one big reason why I have been staying at Hotel Niwa for years — just about every time I visit Tokyo from overseas where I work.
There are fewer and fewer reasons why I should stay loyal to this establishment.

This is the most lovely hotel in all of Tokyo. I wouldn’t bother staying somewhere else as the staff, rooms, and quality of service are all outstanding.
We stayed in Japan for around one month and chose to stay at this hotel twice during our trip. I would only recommend this hotel to all my family and friends staying in Tokyo. It is magnificent!

The service and staff were attentive and professional greeting us when we entered the hotel. As we were checking in they were doing a raffle giveaway and my son won some snacks, which was a nice touch.
The room was clean and well designed. The hotel overall appeared relaxing with an outside garden visible from the restaurant and a relaxation room on the lower floor and garden on the top floor. The breakfast buffet was well stocked. The location was convenient to transportation and the Tokyo Dome.
Finally, I had forgotten my passport in the safe in the room and they called and left a message to let me know and were courteous when I returned to pick it up.
