The staff were very polite and accommodating the room was boutique and had everything you needed although the second stay they neglected to refil the milk but did so as soon as notified. The breakfast was delicious and a good selection. Stairs were very creaky to our room and I wouldn’t have wanted to come back late for fear of waking other guests. Overall a pleasant stay.

Excellent hotel, well priced including delicious breakfast choices. 5 minutes walk to good selection of local restaurants. All in all a gem of a Hotel which knocks spots of other premium hotels.

The room was very large and comfortable, cosy and clean. We had a fantastic stay, will deffo come back. Only criticism we had is that the pillows were a bit hard and the floor was loud so you could hear people walking past as it creaked. But that was minor and didnt ruin the experience.

I have stayed here before and was very comfortable. On this occasion i can say the positives were the hotel has undergone a refurbishment and the room was beautiful with a huge bed. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The welcome and check-in very good. We requested more decaf tea/coffee which was replenished whilst we were out. Breakfast was delicious with high quality ingredients and very pleasant staff. The negatives the duvet was very heavy, too heavy for August so a restful sleep was not had and in the morning there was no hot water for a shower. My husband went to reception and they put the "boilers" on. This is an honest review and these issues were raised on check-out, hopefully they ensure these are rectified as this is a lovely b/b in a very quiet area perfect for a visit to Chester.

Lovely hotel, far exceeded our expectations. Friendly helpful reception staff, lovely large room, immaculately clean and excellent breakfast. Lots of thoughtful touches and well equipped rooms and great value for money.

All round pretty good. Comfortable room, big bed, good breakfast. Only small negative was the lack of hanging space outside of the wardrobe. i.e. no coat hooks in the room and very little drying space for towels in the bathroom - hooks on the door would have made a big difference

Absolutely amazing stay! For parking there were ample spaces to park at the end of the road but located straight in front of the hotel. From the moment we arrived we were met by Amy with a really big smile. She was very warm and very polite and professional in checking us in and showing us to our room. Our room was cosy and immaculately clean and the bathroom was a great size, although the bath could be a tad bigger (only because I'm 6ft4in) 😉. The hotel is located approximately a 20 minute walk from the city centre and there are plenty of shops, coffee shops, bars, eateries around to choose from. The breakfast the next morning was amazing and definitely one of the best we have had. Again, Amy greeted us with a big smile and so friendly and warm and took our order. The food was so fresh, hot and absolutely delicious and couldn't complain about a thing, even if we wanted to. The best thing about it was you could do taste the quality of the food. Faultless! In addition, the hotel offer additional extras you can purchase with your stay i.e. miniature pamper sets or a romantic upgrade. Booked our stay at an amazing, affordable price and loved everything about our stay here and nothing seemed too much trouble. First class all the way! I would without a shadow of doubt, recommend this boutique hotel to anyone. Fantastic! Thank you!

I cannot speak highly enough regarding Stone Villas, it will definitely be my hotel of choice when visiting Chester in the future. Everything from the warm welcome to the spacious room and bathroom, great breakfast, and location (10 minute walk into Chester). We have stated in several hotels in Chester and this was by far the top experience on our travels.

Really enjoyed our stay at Stone Villas. Amy is a great host, lovely breakfast, clean rooms, comfy beds, loads of storage and only 15 minutes walk (flat) to Chester centre.

Second time we've stayed in Stone Villa - close enough to Chester Town Centre to walk in. Lovely clean room, plenty of breakfast options. Friendly staff. Parking a wee bit tight though.

I booked this hotel as it seemed convenient to where i needed to be and central to Chester and restaurant's. The reviews I read seemed good. Well! I must have been reading about a different venue. The welcome was nice and I was shown to my room, strangely the door was wedged open and all the windows thrown wide open, never gave a second thought. The nice bits first, nice welcome note, lovely selection of biscuits, teas and coffee. Nice bed which was very comfortable, massive bathroom. I did have to ask a couple of times for wifi key, they didn't seem to know what it was ? Sadly the room and stay was spoiled by housekeeping, this room number 7 was dirty, i mean it had not been cleaned for a while. My bedside lqmp was not working, so i moved the bedside table to find the pkug was not in the socket, it was here I found a thick layer of dust and sweet wrappers, clearly not been vleaned fot ages, my curiosity stirred I took a look around my room, dust and dirt everywhere, the trouser press, not sure it has ever been used, certainly never cleaned. TV cables trailing along the wall into the robe? Highlighting the holes in the wall.Decor all around was poor, lights out in the bathroom. All this in a 5 star accomodation, never 5 star, 3 at best. On to the following morning after listening to creaking floors all night, the bath had long dark hair in it! I showered and LEFT at that point and skipped breakfast. BAD experience all round really.

The Stone Villa was exceptional in every aspect, but the staff particularly made our stay memorable! Amy and Dylan attended to our every need with kindness, smiles, and professionalism! Dan, the chef, provided outstanding breakfasts, particularly attentive to my wife’s gluten intolerance. The Stone Villa is located just a 20 minute walk into the center of historic and charming Chester. I readily rate the Stone Villa a 10 star out of 10 star scale. Exceptional.

We stayed for two nights which was most enjoyable.Friendly helpful staff, everywhere was nice and clean,comfortable very large bed,fresh milk and biscuits for tea and coffee in the room,powerful over bath shower. Lovely breakfast - would recommend they get HP sauce though! I would imagine the car park could be tight with full occupancy but was fine during our stay.

Lovely friendly staff, clean rooms. Quiet location, great for waling into Chester. Free parking on the premises. Arrived on the hottest weekend of the year, due to unpredictable British weather! No aircon but room had been equipped with a fan. Breakfast was delicious. Would recommend and happily stay again. Thank you :)

Excellent property. Our room was large with all amenities, including fresh milk (hooray). Wi-Fi in the room was variable, but without more than mentioning it, I returned to find a complimentary bottle of wine - a really nice touch.

Excellent location, east 10 min walk into town without the hassle of traffic. Clean and friendly, fabulous breakfast, lots of dining options in a street close to the hotel or there’s lots of eateries within the city walls. Highly recommended, we would certainly stay again!

Room was of a good size, located at the back of the property (so relatively quiet) with both a blind and thick curtains (excellent for black out). A fan and a large properly opening window provided air flow. Bed linen was sufficient (although pillows should really have protectors on them rather than just a single slip/pillowcase for better hygene. Very, very clean and well maintained (pillows aside). Breakfast was excellent on both mornings despite clear signals from the audiable panic in kitchen that they were short of staff. Overall excellent, great location, well placed to visit Chester Zoo and the city centre.

Spent three night here with my husband for our anniversary. The hotel is just outside the main city of Chester and within walking distance. There are lots of places to eat in and around the city. The hotel and hoists excided my expectations. On arrival we were meet by the hoist who offered us complimentary tea and cake before going to our room. He was very friendly and gave us lots of advice. The room was super clean, environmentally friendly, very comfortable and quite. There was a variety of tea and coffee to make in the room and milk in small bottles were replaced every day. There was a fridge in the room. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. We certainly did not leave feeling hungry. Thank you so much for making us welcome. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again in the future.
