Very comfortable room with friendly service within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops

Very economical and quiet. Very basic amenities but we didn't need much. Black out curtains made us sleep very very well.

Great stay, a central location but a quiet area. Breakfast was very nice.
10.0
The owners, the location of the property, breakfast buffet were wonderful. A 5 minute walk to Galway town and a fantastic place to base for a few days to see the Burren, Cliffs of Moher, the limestone caves. Highly recommend the property.

The property was clean and charming. The rooms were also clean. The owners were very nice and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was great, even the coffee was good. Everything was freshly made. They were very welcoming. I would highly recommend this place to stay.
10.0
Clean property and very close to city center. It’s great, but walls a bit thin. Luckily, neighbors not too noisy.

Excellent stay

This a very quaint B&B with one of the best hot breakfasts in Ireland served on hot plates. Each room has its own boiler for unlimited hot water. The location is just minutes from Eyre Square and great shopping opportunities and even closer to the train station to Dublin. Only downside is it is a bit pricey. Great place to stay.
8.0
Quiet spot not too far of a walk from Galway proper. Decent enough hot breakfast. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Only downside is the linens. If you’re allergic or sensitive to soap you’ll definitely notice - whatever they’re washing the sheets with smells very chemically. Opened some windows and it seemed to go away though.

Wasa great place to stay and the staff was very pleasant and professional

Delightful hotel. Comfortable, convenient, friendly.

The room was not as indicated. Attic room with low ceiling. Sustained a massive blow to my head when I tried to access the left side of the bed. I indicated early that the room was not as indicated and Sean was unresponsive to my remark. Later tried to change room and no one available. Do not accept this room if you asked if you can climb stairs to third floor. Very disappointed with this room and subsequent unresponsive remedy/adjustment.

When staying in Galway we highly recommend this property as a consideration. We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Eyre Square, the room was clean and quiet and the bed comfortable. The proprietors were very friendly and only to willing to provide assistance. Breakfast was a choice of an Irish or continental breakfast and was very hearty. This property would always be our first pick for accommodation whenever we return to Galway.

Excellent place to stay! Very clean and convenient but just enough walking distance to avoid all the noise/busy areas. You can easily walk to all the dining and shopping. The owner or manager was so very kind. Truly can’t say enough good things about our stay.

The staff could not be nicer. Very convenient to city center. A great little walking city with great restaurants, pubs, music and shopping!

Just a short stroll from Galway town you find this very resonable B&B with excelent service. It will be my first choice to stay if I someday come back to visit Galway!
3.0
Lovely proprietor but far too expensive! The smallest, most spartan and saddest room I’ve ever stayed in. Paper thin walls and hard beds with flat pillows. Tiny en suite bathroom was appreciated but didn’t appreciate listening to other visitors using theirs. Chair at the mini desk was collapsing and tissue box fell off the wall. Breakfast was buffet style but warm and varied.

Breakfast was very good and within easy walking distance of central Galway

Perfect location - short walk into the city centre
Warm welcome from all the staff
Room was compact but had everything we needed and was very comfortable
Breakfast very good - good choice and constantly replenished
Definitely stay again next time we're in Galway

We had a lovely stay in Galway at the St Judes Lodge.
We were very appreciative that they offered laundry services .

We really enjoyed our two-night stay here. We parked our car and explored on foot for two days instead of trying to park in the center. Galway is safe and fun and very enjoyable, with some great restaurants and cool sites. Take a walk along the lovely canal. Owners Donel and Sean are caring hosts and work hard to keep the place in great condition and offer a nice breakfast buffet for 10 euro. The road in front of the guest house was a bit noisy when we turned in to sleep but soon quieted down. We would happily return here again.

We had a 4 bed family room for two adults and two teens. The bathroom was very tight and the shower door was broken. The hosts were very nice and personable. Breakfast was hearty and convenient. Location was great for a 10 min into town.
8.0
Nice place, could use a little updating: it was unseasonably warm and while the window opened, there was no fan or AC. So, it was a bit uncomfortable sleeping at night. Bathroom was pretty clean, just a bit older. Really nice owners/managers (the twin brothers).

This is a pretty basic hotel, not justifying the high price. Our room was cramped, with dated furnishings, lumpy mattress, flat pillows and old plumbing. The room was facing the main road and was noisy when windows opened (no AC or fan). The breakfast room was also uncomfortably cramped. The warm breakfast offerings were ok, but fruit and pastries were not ok. The positives were friendly staff, free parking and easy road access (the hotel is about 10 min walk from downtown).

Lovely place. Close to downtown. Staf are very friendly and helpful. I would go back there again next time I am in Galway

We enjoyed our stay at St. Jude’s so much! It was very last minute and we arrived late but were made to feel very welcome by Donal and Sean. Our room was spotless and had character. A lovely hot meal for breakfast and great recommendations of places to go. They were kind enough to allow us to leave our car after checkout so we could walk around historic Galway. Donal and Sean had a pot of hot tea waiting for us when we returned.
