Good large clean room, location excellent for the city centre, breakfast good, staff were top form and friendly,

Comfortable and clean (but dated) room in the Heidl guest house which is an annex to the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was functional.
Food was provided in the hotel.
The hotel is also an Indian/Ghurka restaurant and the food was excellent!
The front room of the Guest House is used as a storage which can be off putting to guests.

Good location for library.

The cleanliness of the rooms could be better but the bed was clean and since we were staying 1 night it was fine for the price we paid.

Very friendly and helpful staff at check in and at breakfast . Everything explained clearly and he couldn't have been more willing to help .

The BnB is close to the train station with easy access to activities. We enjoyed a walk around town to galleries and along the river.
The breakfast was quite good and filling.

The property was perfect for my one night stay - reasonably priced, clean, and convenient for the city centre.
However my booking was made online and when I phoned on my day of arrival to check everything was in place, the phone no on the website and on all my correspondence was not recognised. Fortunately I noticed that the Heidl was connected to the Grampian Hotel and managed to contact them to confirm my booking. Their communication could be improved.

Extremely good value for money - accommodation prices had rocketed up for that particular time period due to holidays and the horse races at Scone.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Thank you for helping with the heavy bags!
Minor criticisms include: fittings in my room were broken or very loose, and the Wifi was barely usable at times.

We arrived earllier than the checkin time, and asked could we leave the our luggage there until our checkin that was no problem. We checked in and the staff member insisted that he would carry our luggage to our room, the room was a little small but it had everything we needed for our one night stay.It was clean which is the main thing for us , no noise we were in room eight at the back, the breakfast next day was good with a great selection of food, you had to submit what you wanted for breakfast the day before which was not a problem for us, the onlything about the breakfast was that the sausages were the cheapest you could buy in our opinion. We had a meal in the restaurant the night before which is Indian , the meal that we had was the best Indian we had ever had wich is hard to do because we have had a lot of them .It was outstanding if we lived here we would use it all the time. The staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them,we wish that we had known earlier about Heidl before hand as we would have booked with them for all our stay in Perth, well done thanks to all the staff for a excellent stay!

No hot water in bedroom or bathroom. Weak wi fi signal and a tv from the dark ages. Otherwise just about ok as a stop over

Great value for money for a single room. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was a good size, lovely crisp bedding, tea/coffee/water provided. Breakfast included was good value but you have to go to the hotel next door (same owners) for this. My only gripe was when I arrived, no one answered the door to the guesthouse for about 10 mins and I had to wait for someone came from the hotel to let me in. Apart from that - GREAT - would stay again.

The staff were great, the room comfortable. Very easy for accessing the city centre.

I don’t know what the main building was like apart from the downstairs restaurant which was pretty good, we stopped in the house next door which they obviously converted into bedrooms with a shower and en suite which was perfectly adequate apart from the bed was very hard for me, The young man that showed us our room was very obliging and in the restaurant couldn’t do any more to help you, apart from the Indian food was for me average, would I stay there again? Probably not reasonable value for money Parking can be a little awkward at times depending on the amount of customers they have in the restaurant breakfast in the morning was quite good fast and efficient.

It was central to my needs. As a former resident of Perth I knew the area and it suited my needs. Although on a main thoroughfare it was quiet through the night and my sleep was not disturbed

Everything was clean and tidy.
Amenities close by, town is only 5-10 mins walk. Brilliant!
Only downside was the hard mini armchairs and the sunker dresser chair, bum numbing...

A very clean and tidy guest house with all the facilities required. Very comfortable beds, spotless modern en-suite and tea/coffee making tray Free Wi-Fi and bottled water! A five star room at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Was made very welcome on arrival and shown to my room.

The room was clean, bright and cheerful. The staff were helpful (carried our bags up to our 3rd floor room). Dinner, at their other location, the Grampian Hotel next door, was excellent.

Breakfast was very nice
A nice place for a quick trip to Perth

An okay room in an okay location. Not much to say.
Free parking and small breakfast were a nice touch.
Would have liked to have not such skimpy breakfast, though (e.g. more than 3 tomatoes).

Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Downside was on top floor so lots of stairs to go up. Also having to be out room for 10 am. Too early if been out night before and drive.

Over all it was a good place to stay and an easy walk into the city centre. The sound proofing wasn't the best and a group of friends returned from a night out at about quarter past midnight and then talked and laughted until 2.00. Parking space is very limited.

A great budget hotel with staff that went the extra mile

Not what was advertised
Run down and overpriced
Poor Wi-Fi

I didn’t have high hopes for this guest house as it was the cheapest available on the night I needed. I was very pleasantly surprised, friendly welcome, clean room and a week cooked tasty breakfast. If I was being really picky the mattress creaked a lot and the pillow was lumpy but for the money this was very good indeed.

The gentleman booking us in didn’t seem to be rather confused. He pointed at a paper reservation to confirm I was the person. He then gave two pieces of paper to complete our breakfast request for the morning telling us to leave them on the desk which we promptly did. Breakfast was next door at the Grampian hotel. When we arrived the waiter didn’t have a booking for us so we had to complete again. It was poorly designed and confusing. The waiter was attentive and polite. The food for me was pretty poor and partner said it was very blah. Certainly no where near worth what was paid. Noticed other patrons left food on plates as well. DONT get breakfast. The room was simple, clean, bed comfy and hot water. No view at all. When we checked out my booking was on the desk as were our breakfast choice sheets from day before. No one around when we left. Not the B&B experiences I have had in Scotland previously. Need a place to lay your head great. Staying longer stay elsewhere

Very good food next door, rooms were also good apart from fire alarm waking us up at almost midnight when we had work next day at 6:30 am for no apparent reason.

Good stay for 1 night . Wellcome & Breakfast :OK
Room 4 : the On/OFF button of the shower to be repaired .

Parking is not great and tricky to get into pending on the direction you’re entering from. Went out for dinner and came back to no parking and was told to park across the street but had to move my car by 8am as it’s private property. Otherwise you’re parking quite far.
If you book the 3 bed suite it’s on the top floor, you’re carrying your luggage up 3 flights of small stairs so be careful, not ideal for the elderly. My parents both struggled in their late 70s.

It was just a big house with no welcome, the TV wouldn’t work - it just didn’t feel friendly.

Hari was an excellent staff member. Many thanks

It was great! Family who runs it are super friendly. Stay includes a great breakfast. Right next to a huge grocery store and short walk from downtown. Great price as well.

Don’t be fooled by thinking you’re getting a quaint family run guesthouse experience, it was at one time but now it’s owned by the Indian restaurant and hotel next door. The rooms are clean and breakfast is very good. Good value for money and a short walk to pubs and restaurants if you don’t fancy the Indian.
