Hotel was comfortable, had a good sleep, the old windows were very draughty, the bathroom door didn't fit into it's surround properly so couldn't be closed and it all needed a little updating, breakfast was average.

Excellent friendly and efficient service by all staff. Being upgraded to a junior suite on arrival made our stay even more memorable and special. Would definitely recommend.
2.5
We have stayed here many times because of its location and the service of its staff.
If you can find it at around £100-150 per night including breakfast you won’t be disappointed.

Two nights, no hot water, boiler broken apparently. Staff were very apologetic but nothing was offered in recompense.

Amazing hotel

Be aware this must be a listed building with narrow stairs and no lift. We were on the top floor and being pensioners not ideal. I thought the bed was too hard but my husband was ok with it! Food was very tasty but very limited. I had same meal two days running as didn't fancy anything else. An abundance of fish dishes but no chicken? Very pricey for not many amenities. We were attending a conference so thought it would be easier to stay in the same venue but would have been better off staying in Perth.

What a great place to stay. Staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble . Bedroom was fantastic and breakfast was great, will definitely stay here again.
2.5
Good stay in the hotel, enjoyed using the restaurant for breakfast and dinner , plenty of other dogs in residence. Good walks to be done around hotel and nearby village. Lots of space in the external rooms no sounds from other residents.

Lovely place. No complaints

Comfortable hotel in a quaint country setting. We stayed in one of the outdo cottages and it was clean and well equipped, if a little bit dated. It was the weekend and the hotel was hosting a wedding, so there was loud music playing until the wee hours of the night - something to keep in mind if you plan on staying during the weekend. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and whatever minor grievanances we had with the wedding noise and the room were more than made up for by the wonderful breakfast we were served in the morning. By far the best breakfast we had during a two week tour of Scotland! We’d stay here again.

Amazing from start to finish

We have stayed here a few times, on this occasion we were a little disappointed with the room, it was very tired in respect of decoration and very beige.
1.5
The hotel is in need of refurbishment and redecoration. The bedroom was a lovely size but the sofa was uncomfortable, the bath had a shower curtain that was too long and looked ancient. The breakfasts were very good. The hotel has beautiful grounds and so much more could be made of this hotel if it had the uplift it needs.

Great food and lovely staff.

Booked a superior room for a long overdue night away, on arrival the door was broken, the toilet flush broken, stains on the chair, stains on the bed linen, generally very tired looking room. Then we went for a drink, the draft was all off, so it was bottles only. Then we went for dinner, menu more like pub grub but with restaurant prices, burger was decent enough but the stroganoff was awful, undercooked with no sauce or taste, it also had a hair in it. Sticky toffee pudding looked and tasted like it wasn't home made and straight out the microwave. Breakfast was passable but not much choice and lacking quality compared to competitors in this price range. On the plus side, the staff were all great, especially the breakfast staff and girl on reception in the morning. The grounds are fantastic with lots of ancient trees and the building is impressive, but needs some TLC to bring it back to it's former glory. Overall we were disappointed, we have stayed in many country house hotels and this one missed the mark, we even found ourselves saying to each other during dinner that we wished we had stayed at home, that is a first.

Very welcoming. Lovely food. Lots of character.

Had a great stay. The only thing I didn't enjoy all that much was the overdone hamburger I had for dinner. Everything else was perfect.

Beautiful place with great room. Lovely friendly helpful staff!! Beautiful gardens surrounding it. Highly recommended

This is one of the best parking lots we encountered in all of Scotland.
The hotel had a nice continental breakfast that you could also get hot or cold breakfast in addition to the continental items and it had a large variety items you can order for dinner.

Hotel needs upgrade . Very tired . Can’t cope with private functions and residents

The hotel itself could do with a bit of an upgrade, but the staff and service couldn't have been any better, it was excellent.Thw breakfast was delicious, and plenty to choose from.We would definitely book again, and recommend,to family and friends.

Comfortable beds good breakfast options.

Although the hotel was decent I was very disappointed as it was booked because my 2young son's wanted to surprise their mums when I was offshore
The pictures of the room I booked depicted bathrobes and slippers on the bed and also that there was a bath but there was none of them and a shower instead , the pictures were very misleading and false advertising .I phoned the hotel and they said they knew that the pictures were wrong and it was not the class of room that the pictures showed that we got
Very disappointed boys and wouldn't be keen to go back again

Large, comfortable, quiet room. Good breakfast with continental and cooked options. Staff were helpful and pleasant. We chose to eat our evening meal in the restaurant and it was very nice. The food was beautifully presented and we really enjoyed it.

Nice hotel tucked away on the outskirts of Perth. Bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Nice and quiet too with some lovely grounds when the weather is dry.

Lovely stay here with my husband and our little cocker Eric

Very poor customer service when asking if we could pay for the set menu as the app would not let me book half board the staff insisted this was not possible even though the restaurant was clearly serving this menu. In fact he even went as far as to snatch the menu back out of my hands.
We then had to not drink and drive to a good restaurant elsewhere.
So they lost a £100 meal and I was told in the morning at checkout this was actually the manger so much for customer service.
This was the second time I have stayed the last time we overheard the staff talking about us because we brought our own drinks to send time in the room.
They won't get a third chance from me.
I'm a gold member on hotels. Com as I book more than 100 rooms a year for work and my driver's.
It's not often I have to go to this effort to leave a bad review especially when the hotel and location is very nice.
Just the staff who let it down and I'm sorry to anyone who has to work under this incompetent manager.

Unfortunately we were put in a ‘room’ which was actually a separate building from the main hotel, this building is split into multiple rooms. The walls are paper thin and the guests next door were playing music and banging most of the night. Coupled with this, the building is right beside the function suite of the hotel so we had music and shouting all night as the smoking area is right beside the bedroom window our 8 yr old was trying to sleep in. Obviously all of this was far from ideal and we all had a terrible nights sleep. We made the most of it but won’t return.

The staff were amazing, couldn’t do enough. The hotel is an old building and is in keeping with its style. Plenty of areas for sitting inside and out. Breakfast excellent value. We had dinner there too which was good variety and very tasty.

Excellent service in all areas.

Skye was very helpful, friendly and efficient.
The road closure was not ideal and perhaps forewarning would have helped.

Not a 4 star. No way! The room was small, poorly furnished and not cleaned well, as there was a build up of dust in the bedside lights. The building itself was magnificent and made me feel this place had seen better times. A small and old (not smart) TV on the wall. A mediocre 3 star at best.

This beautiful character property makes you feel like you’re stepping back in time! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Even offered to upgrade us to a king room. Food was great and always nice when breakfast is included. I would come here again in a heart beat. Also great value for the price.
