The bed was comfortable, and the cold air con was refreshing from the September heat.
The staff was really kind and helpful. We were having issues transferring our luggage to another hotel and the staff really helped us figure out a solution.

My first room wasn't particularly to my liking so they changed me to a different room and even offered to bring my luggage to the new room. That was really nice and and I was more than prepared to do it myself.
The hotel staff mainly speak Japanese, so for the average person I would recommend having google translate on your phone; for the more worldly travellers (or huge fans of Japanese culture) you are going to have a great time conversing with them in Japanese. I cannot stress how friendly they are.
The hotel's location might feel a bit out of the way, but the truth is it's perfect. It's RIGHT next to a bus terminal so you can get to Shibuya station easily; plus there's a lot of things within walking distance. Perfect placement

Good location , rooms are small but perfect for an overnight stay . Staff doesn't speak a lot of english but they try to be very helpful. We came on a family trip and this was our first stop. Got in very late at night and despite the hours they said to check in as long as we let them know we were going to be late they had no problem. Convenience stores and a family market just around the corner. We would stay here again.

It was safe and quiet and not to far from the Shibuya crossing area

The staff were so kind and helpful. They spoke enough English for me to feel comfortable asking questions. Th rooms were very clean. They were doing some construction but they were reasonable about the times and let us know in advance. The construction was never a bother. I loved this hotel and would go back.

The room was a bit small and we felt tight but it was clean.

I really enjoyed the traditional japanese aesthetic, it was small but made up for in scenery. They provided free water in the lobby and had daily housecleaning. The staff was super friendly always welcoming us and saying have a great day when we left. I would reccomend for a cheaper option, its fairly close to shibuya crossings.

The staff here are so friendly and the room is clean and beautiful. We stayed in a room with tatami floors and futons and our own bathroom. There is a bus stop nearby, but still very walkable to the nearest metro station. It is also not too far from the center of Shibuya! A very comfortable stay.

This is such a special place and it gives you a little taste of traditional Japanese hospitality, while being in walking distance of Shibuya Crossing and Meguro. The staff here are incredible and make you feel so welcome. I stayed in a room without private toilet or shower, but it was honestly fine considering I never had to wait for the ones in the hall (which were individual and had locks in the inside). On the nights that I stayed here, I was mostly around the Shibuya crossing / scramble area. One night I went out to a bar and was able to stay out really late which was nice, because I could easily walk home. If you sty here, definitely check out the many lunch spots in the neighborhood within a five minute walk behind the hotel. It was a super cute, quiet neighborhood, which was a nice change from hectic Shibuya. Definitely recommend! One thing to note is that there is not an elevator, but this was not a problem for me.

It is a great choice for somebody who wanted to try Japanese experience

Super quiet small property with friendly staff. We liked the more traditional lodging for our short stay in Tokyo. The neighborhood is busy but you don't hear any of it at the property even though the main busy street is around the corner.

One of the few hotels in Japan where we weren't treated in a racist way. Kind and helpful staff, clean rooms, nice public bath and in a quiet area, not too far away from Shibuya.

Transportation (local buses) are accessible where we stayed at and hotel exterior and interior are traditional, which my friend and I enjoyed.

We had an amazing stay here. The owner and his son helped us so much while we were here. We chose to stay in the Japanese traditional room and it was honestly the best sleep we got on our whole trip. I can't recommend this place enough. Definitely consider staying here!

Everyone was very kind and nice at the hotel. Rooms are slightly bigger than normal hotel rooms, which is a plus for winter travels as you’ll have bigger suitcase and more clothes. The bathroom however, are quite small and tight. Perfect for little me, but I can see problems for some of my bigger friends. As an idea, you can probably sit on the toilet, while brushing teeth. Overall, a very comfortable stay, 2 bus stops away from Shibuya Station, or a 15min walk.

I Have book the 5 bed, and yet they gave me as 2 adults room. Then worse of all they charge me two more adults. staff is very rude make excuse calling if want to make up room. No hair dryer, wifi not working at 3rd floor, NO ref.. And worse of all at the room you can smell smoking even at 3rd floor. Because at Lobby are allow to smoke but without any ventilation

Nice ryokan hotel in walkable (15min) distance from Shibuya station and with a lot of options for dinner and drinks quite close. The staff was friendly and helpful and it’s cheap as well.

Our second stay here, lovely place. One of us had a fever and soaked the bedding, they were very understanding. Handy for Shibuya and very comfortable.

Their check out time is 10am. I managed to return to the hotel five minutes before that. I was traveling by myself so not much stuff. I have done the packing previous night. Just need to get it from the room. However when the owner saw me, she showed me a very upset look. She complained that I might delay their cleaning of the room. When I went to the room to get my belongings, she even sent a worker to ask me hurry up. This all happened before 10am. I understand their concern but why can’t they wait until I was actual late! The face is while I was waiting in the lobby, I saw at least five groups of guests from other room checking out after 10am. Some of them actually checked out after 10:15am. The owner didn’t have the guts to complain a word. Just because I am a single woman traveling alone? Another concern is the cleaness. The room looks OK. I accidentally dropped something so I bend down to the floor and found it under the bed. It was quite a scene under the bed. Very dirty. They can totally reach that part with a mop. However, since people normally will not see it, they don’t bother to clean it. It’s my typical impression of Japanese. Will not recommend this place to other travelers!

This is a beautiful and quiet hotel in a busy area. It hasn’t everything you need and is walking distance to lots of great areas and places to eat. The staff were so friendly and helpful and we felt very at home. I would love to come back to stay another time!
