Room was very small. Bed was broken on one side so it made noise everytime you moved. It was hot in the room so we changed the temp 2 degrees and you could see your breath. The shower was beautiful but only has a partial door so water gets everywhere on the floor and it doesnt stay warm in the bathroom. For the price you could stay longer somewhere else

This hotel is in an excellent location and the staff is incredible. Our room had a view of Independence Hall and room service brought us a dog bed for Snoopy. The food at the Red Owl Tavern is delicious. The bed is incredibly comfortable. Great all around.

Enjoyed the hotel and location, but the hotel needs cosmetic repairs in the common areas and in the rooms. The rooms were quiet and comfortable.

Fun renovation. Everything is very clean. No unpleasant scented smell in the room. Love it!

Hotel rooms can use some refreshers, carpet in hallways is dirty, paint is needed. Not a great feel here for someone who is a clean freak like me.

Beautiful view, great location, fabulous pub and restaurant. The service was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly. Will definitely recommend to family and friends!!

Quite disappointed to be honest. We had been flying all day and arrived at the hotel at 3.05pm. Check in was after 3pm. We were told that our room wasn’t ready and we had to wait in the lobby. We were told that we would receive a text when the room was ready. We weren’t offered any refreshments or any apology. We decided that we didn’t want to wait in the lobby as it was too busy and loud. We decided to go for a walk. After an hour we retuned to the reception and asked if the room was ready. We were then asked if we had received a text which we hadn’t but at this point all we wanted to do was shout and sleep. We then had another wait until the room was ready and the key was handed over. Again no apology. Disappointing start.
We were also surprised on the Sunday when we retuned back to the hotel at 7pm after a full day out to find that the bar and restaurant was closed. Very surprising for a 4 star hotel not to be able to feed its guests at 7pm.

We had to call to have the tub drain. We had to call because housekeeping did not leave coffee supplies. We had to call for more towels. An employee ran his full luggage cart into my husbands leg, causing major damage. Nothing could be done at the site, info sent to corp. legal. Food in restaurant was substandard. If one doesn't book thru the hotel, not points applied.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. I loved the funky/interesting decor. Nice lobby. We enjoyed nightly wine happy hour. The attached restaurant was convenient but there are other good restaurants in walking distance. Located within the historic district and half a block from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. I would definitely return to this hotell

Hotel staff very accommodating. We received several text during our 7-night stay from management asking about our stay. Outstanding food and service in hotel resturant. Give Saletia a promotion, she really took good care of us!!!

Beautifully central to revolutionary and constitutional museums. Food was good, and restaurants within wLking distance were plentiful.

Perfect location! Very friendly staff. We had 4 in a room and it was pretty small. Bathroom door wouldn’t shut all the way but we had a maintenance person fix it promptly. Restaurant on the ground floor is super expensive and closed on Sundays, but lots of other walkable options. We will definitely stay there again if our journey leads us to Philadelphia again.

Beautiful hotel, extremely friendly staff (especially Shakira and Teresa). The open happy hour in the lobby is a great touch. Lots of style. We liked walking through the old cobbled streets and down to Queen Village - lots of independent, cute shops and restaurants.

We were a party of 6 and it seemed like it was always a hassle for staff at red owl to out together a table for breakfast. We were repeatedly told to wait and then got seated upstairs in the dark when the whole restaurant was free. The hostess with short hair and glasses was especially rude every day we went. When we finally sat down, there was a pot of coffee at the table. We later find out they charged us $29 for coffee which we didn’t order. When we came home, I was charged $34. I called the hotel and they said it was for the bottle water, which I was told that I was entitled to two and I took only two. They said they will reverse the charge. My sister was charged for her entire stay when her stay had been all paid for already through Expedia. It seems like you guys are incorrectly charging, seems like scamming your customers. If you stay here, check your bill at red owl, make sure to ask them to print out receipt at check out and double check your credit card when you arrive home!!!

Great location, near independence hall area is very safe and walkable. Hotel Kimpton Monico is very cute, clean for the most part but needs some details refreshed. Our room phone was not charged and working but otherwise it was a great stay.

Great location, maybe the overall best located hotel in Philadelphia.

We really enjoyed our stay (twice!) at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. It's in a great location - & was very centrally located to explore all the Philadelphia sights & to do some shopping. The quality of the rooms was very good & the staff were friendly & helpful. The food at the Red Owl Tavern next door was excellent - as was the complimentary wine hour held each night. A real bonus, that's for sure!
