Quite a pleasant stay in this hotel, staff are friendly & courteous. It is very strategically located at the centre of the city, the famous Tonle Sap Riverside & tourist attractions. I'll surely consider to come back to stay here again!

Dated hotel in need of renovation, as many guests before us have pointed out for the several last years. Found a razor from a former guest lying in a dirty window sill in the bathroom. Took a photo and showed it to the front desk staff, who seemed very surprised, but nothing happened. Stupid construction flaws everywhere. Water running into cracks in walls and between bathtub and wall. Water going everywhere when showering, making wood panels rot. Many doves outside nesting in the window silld making noise and spreading dirt. Only one lift for a busy hotel. Breakfast not as varied as one could have hoped for. Dirt in corners and cracks everywhere.

Staff are EXCEPTIONAL, really wonderful people.

The location close to the river, minimarts, restaurants, overlooking the palace and about 10 min walk to the night markets was awesome! Although the staff tried to be helpful and friendly, it didn’t make up for the hotel that was “tired”! The hotel had a bit of a backpackers feel. It was in desperate need of a makeover and needed some upgrading and a serious look at faults like flooded rooms and Air Conditioning that didn’t work even though they looked at it 6 times and said we just needed to “wait for the room to cool down” (it didn’t cool down in the three days we stayed there). The staff were quick to jump into action when one of our parties room became flooded by an upstairs bathroom and/or air conditioning unit and for that we were grateful for change of rooms so quickly! I can not ask for friendlier staff, but the hotel itself needs a makeover! If you’re trying to save money it still is a good hotel!

Lovely socially and environmentally conscience hotel. Wifi was too slow and unreliable to do work from the hotel. Great location next to the Palace, National Museum and the river front. They gave me an upgrade in the low season (July).

The hotel is conveniently located near the Royal Palace and close to the river. The area is very safe and it is very easy to get tuktuk to get around.

The Frangipani Royal Palace Hotel outdid themselves for our short but sweet two night stay. The friendly staff greeted us by name and gave us an upgraded room, along with the welcome drink. I won't repeat my first review, but still as perfect a place. This time, they included even other tropical fruits. In addition to the staples of guava, pineapple, dragon fruit, etc., they had this coconut pumpkin treat, and on another morning, rambutans.
Such a wonderful place to stay.

Frangipani Royal Palace Hotel is located in a wonderful location of Phnom Penh. We splurged for a room with a palace view, and they truly delivered. Staff was great, especially the night clerk Nan, who we talked with each evening. The street food options nearby are so perfect. Charming!

Nice hotel with large rooms and friendly staff. In the bedroom, plugs on each side of the bed would be definitely a plus. Despite a relatively large choice, the quality of food products for the breakfast could be improved. Especially bread and pastries...

Excellent Customer Service - All staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Shame that some construction at the pool side therefore limiting the view.

Not a "modern" hotel but a good clean place to stay in central Phnom Penh. My fifth floor room overlooked the Royal Palace and the National Museum. We enjoyed the rooftop bar and the complete breakfast. Tip: Take a morning walk through the grounds and courtyards of the Royal University of the Fine Arts for a look at some great contemporary sculpture.

Pros:
- Excellent location. I could walk literally anywhere.
- Very nice and helpful staff.
- Simple property but it has everything one could need.
- Offers airport transfers and extensive list of local activities for additional fee. Everything was easy to navigate.
Cons:
- Outdated property and decor. It's not the hotel where you go to pamper yourself. Yet, it offers everything you need as a traveler.

Great staff, but very old property and much less clean facilities. Very noisy from outside traffic and loud music from outside. I would not go back to this property again.

The hotel is situated next to the Royal Palace and most attractions were walking distance.
The staff were also very attentive and accommodated our specific requests.
It’s a period hotel. The decor is slightly tired but the rooms are clean. There’s breakfast which was a mix of Asian breakfast with some Western touches - yogurt and fruits, toast, fried egg, baked beans etc. It was not a huge breakfast but adequate.
Overall a good experience at the hotel.

The view and service.

It’s aging. There are a ton of new hotels that are nicer for the same price with larger pools and roof top bars. Unless you have a room with a view of the palace, as I did, not sure it’s worth the price. The view is lovely and I’d stay again as long as I could book a room with the palace and museum view.

Just spent 5 nights here over the New Year period. The location is good (right next to the Royal Palace and Riverside), but that's about it. Daily breakfast is average and nothing gets replenished. Get there by 7am or deal with whatever is left!!! The room itself is outdated and there was an issue with the shower where only hot water comes out (incredibly dangerous). The hotel staff are indifferent to guests...ignoring you as you walk past them and rarely acknowledging you at breakfast. We paid extra to stay in a hotel near Riverside with a pool.....sadly the water looked cloudy and unclean, so we did not end up using the pool at all. There is a nice skybar on level 8 with great views and happy hour drink prices each afternoon. Overall a big disappointment and we will not be coming back.

Very good place for family easy to allocate and strategic place to stay for traveller. The hotel is clean and tidy and worth of the value

The hotel is in a terrific location, but either we were unlucky or they really need to pull their socks up regarding maintenance. Our toilet backed up constantly and whilst they were very prompt each time in coming to try and clear it, it didn't solve the problem (even though each time they said it was fixed). We stayed two nights and must have called them back 3 or 4 times. Our friends had the same experience with the air-conditioning in their room, and trying to unlock their safe - they came promptly but didn't successfully resolve the problem.

There is so much that this property has to offer. Location, cleanliness, view, nice pool, many offsite meal opportunities nearby. Some things should change. 1. Room doors should automatically lock for guest security. This is an international hotel and automatically locking room doors is a international standard for guest security.2. Safes are provided for guests to place valuables. Very important. But when an outside service person, like a plumber, comes to fix something a staff member should stay with that person in a guest room for security of guest possessions.3. GM and OM need to be responsive to questions. At check out for 4 rooms 10 night the GM was busy and could not meet with me. I left my business card and asked for a call back. No call back has occurred.I would stay there again. But hope that they address these issues for the international guests they serve. My overall rating would be higher if management was not so hard to talk with.
