Great room, great pub food, breakfast included in a very nice period inn right in the centre of town. Just what they advertised and I was not disappointed.

We booked en suite bathroom. Bathroom was private, but separate from room, along corridor and up 3 steps. As elderly couple difficult at night. Placed on top floor, no lift, no one to carry luggage.
Breakfast was supposed to be included, but on arrival, we were informed that it would only be served at 9. We requested, just sandwich, were refused. Asked again the next day and were allowed a sandwich. We still felt badly treated from attitude of staff on first night.

Clean, warm, good shower, nice toiletries, excellent cooked breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. The location was perfect too; smack - bang in the town centre, which meant that everything was accessible to us on foot. We really enjoyed our stay at The Old Post Office, and would stay there again.

Lovely old building. Room was great. Noise from the pub downstairs was not too intrusive. Would happily stay there again.

Parking in the Center of Shrewsbury is a nightmare. The hotel doesn't have parking so you have to pay to park which can run from 1 to 3 pounds an hour. The breakfast was very good and the room was OK and quiet but wifi didn't work being too far away from the restaurant/bar. The staff were friendly and helpful but overall the place was not as good as other places we've stayed.

Really enjoyed my one-night stay here for business this week. Room 6 is an en-suite at the bottom of the stairs. The room was small but very comfortable, lots of storage space. It does need a lick of paint and the bathroom ceiling needs re-plastering but it was perfectly clean. Gorgeous home cooked breakfast and friendly staff at check in and check out.

Good central location. Good breakfst. Old building but no excuse for the condition of room (photos attached). Stayed on hotest day of year so far and room was sweltering due to 2 hot water pipes running length of the room.(radiator fortunately off). Despite the heat from these pipes there was virtually no hot water and was unable to take a shower. Sorry no photos attached, coudnt do it from my phone...

The place was above a pub but nice and clean and friendly, a few stairs to go up but everything you needed apart from the bathroom wash round the corner from the bedroom

Excellent location in the center of Shrewsbury. The Rooms a little dated but exceptionally clean, lovely fluffy towels, toiletries and plenty of tea & coffee provided. The staff were extremely helpful and polite and made sure our needs catered for . The breakfast was excellent and even had a decent live band on Saturday night i would definitely stay again . Thanks

Room was located through back courtyard of pub and up one flight of stairs which was fine. Mega disappointment on entering the room as the limited pine furniture was so old and in poor condition. Sloping floors acceptable as this was an old building but furniture could have been updated at little cost and room made more modern and welcoming. Bed linen was clean and plenty of tea and coffee on hospitality tray. Nowhere near enough sockets and TV was tiny.Bathroom was big with over bath shower, clean but basic and un welcoming. Saturday breakfast did not start until 9 which was an issue for us. Breakfast was adequate. We did consider not staying but it would have meant paying again for somewhere else. One night was therefore tolerable under the circumstances. I would not return because the place really did need updating and whilst I do not expect luxury for the price I do expect comfort
