As of Dec 2013 all flights arrive at new airport which is 1 hour from city instead of 10 mins with old airport. Hotels no longer offer complimentary airport service. Taxi is $35 and ATM at airport only gives US dollars ($100 notes!) which are accepted everywhere as almost the preferred currency. Any, even slightly, damaged US bills will not be accepted so bring plenty of small bills with you. We were offered good looking US $2 bills for change at the market in town so one wonders how authentic the other change is. The hotel is an intimate, wonderful example of a true boutique hotel. We had a very enjoyable 4 day stay. The hotel restaurant is excellent and very fairly priced. Totally recommend.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed. The room was very nice with solid wood furniture and comfortable beds. The pool area is pretty with comfortable beds around it and a bar that is reached from the pool. We tried a few drinks from there and they were all excellent. I can really recommend the Hanuman Warrior cocktail. The special glass of that drink is awesome enough to warrant an order of it (and the fact that the drink is really nice makes it even better!).We ate at the restaurant several times and was very happy with our meals. The beef with Khmer spice was probably our favourite and all other orders were also great. For breakfast we had lovely crêpes, fruit, tea and tasty coffee. The children had hot chocolates and juices which set us up for exploring the area around Siem Reap.We also had massages at the hotel which were very nice ... just the right amount of pressure to relief sore muscles. We enjoyed how friendly everyone was at the hotel. The staff was excellent, we also met the owner of the hotel who was very pleased to have us there as it has been a long time since tourists were really allowed into Cambodia due to the Covid pandemic. The hotel has filtered drinking water in the rooms to avoid the use of plastic bottles which is great!

We liked the two swimming pools with different aspects and the fact that the restaurant overlooked one of the pools. Could quite understand the outside bath on our room balcony.

Big comfortable rooms. Daily cleaning service that kept them spotless and smelling gorgeous. But the most impressive thing was the service - hotel staff were wonderful - polite, friendly, helpful. Highly recommended!

We have had an absolutely wonder stay at HanumanAlaya. The hotel has has been designed as a tranquil space in a busy city - with the sound of running water (fountains into the swimming pools), places to recline, and the sense of openness to the air with the reception area without walls. The staff were ever helpful, gave attention to detail. Although it is often hot outside in Seam Reap, the pools bring coolness or you can retreat into your own cool space - your air conditioned rooms. Meals at Breakfast was excellent and suppers in the hotel restaurant scrumptious.
To top it all, they were happy for us to remain until 3 on our booking out day - and, since we were waiting for an evening flight, allocated us another room for an afternoon nap after that.
We highly recommend this haven.

Stayed here two nights with my family of four. It was a great place to relax after a hot day walking among the temples. Nice pool, atmosphere, restaurant was good, and took advantage of the on-site massage spa, which was quite nice. It’s also about a 15 minute walk to the Angkor museum, (which I’d recommend doing the day before seeing the temples). Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We sadly had a noisy time here due to a festival which was going on in the streets!
Apart from that we couldn't fault it.

Excellent small hotel short $3 tuk tuk ride into town. On right side of town for temple visits. Personal service and good breakfast . Comfortable room . Pool is small but welcome after long temple tours. Greeted personally by manager on return from temple visits.

Cute hotel. Friendly staff and affordable rate, plus the welcome drinks were the best I've had! They even upgraded us to an awesome suite when we arrived. Our flight left late at night so they gave us late check out. We will definitely come back

The Hanumanalaya was a real treat. The facility is kept clean and up to date, the staff were helpful and prompt and the food was excellent. It is a bit out of the way to the street market area but closer to the temples - depends what you want to spend your time.

The GM, Mr Kim, & his staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They went the extra mile in arranging for a driver & transport to take me to another province for sightseeing. Overall fantastic experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at HanumanAlaya....the Staff are amazing and so helpful, happy and smiley...the food is good in the morning for breakfast and great coffee and brownie available....the pool environment is relaxing and so clean...our room was spacious and always clean, bed folded down in the evening...just a REALLY nice place to stay in Siem Reap.It is a little away from the town center BUT there was always a tuk tuk at the gate with good rates.
