Very fun place to stay, but nearly impossible to wash dishes in either the bathroom sink or bathtub!

Beware! Online photos do not represent reality! The first disappointment was the state of the property. Deep potholes smattering the entry, a bank of unsightly refuge bins at the entry, a field of waist high weedy grasses adjoining an unkempt common social area that itself was weedy and held two suspicious BBQs and an unappealing and filthy firepit that no one in their right mind woud fire-up. The so called "park" in the center of the complex was another field of low growing weeds and potholes and was furnished with about a half dozen picnic tables, two of which were scattered with rocks and dirt and leaves. Some people chose to not pick up after their dogs in this area. The entirity of the landscaping was crowded with weeds and in need of some TLC. As for my "individually decorated" Roses and Ivy Cottage: the cute comforter on the website turned into a dull beige duvet that looked dirty but probably wasn't, there were 4 wall hanging hooks with nothing hanging on them, the whole place smelled of "old wet house" (thank goodness for the ceiling fan), doors and cabinets stuck and peeled due to improperly painted interiors, and the "stainless" kitchen sink area was pitted and blotched with staining. The few positives: the bed and 6 pillows provided were very comfortable, the little wall fireplace/heater was a pleasant surprise, the tiny bathroom was okay for a one person use, road noise was minimal with the windows closed, and, best of all was Maria, the stellar housekeeper.

Cute room - full size frig & coffee pot is a plus! The kitchen is fully stocked w/ glassware, dishes etc. room is well appointed, cute decor, but my porch light didn’t work, and I couldn’t figure out how to turn hot tub on. but it was a nice clean and comfortable stay. & covered parking is great. I would return.

Cozy, cute, green outdoor space for dogs.

No one is on the property to help out. They initially sent the wrong code to get into the room and there was no response at first to our call. They got back to us fairly quickly, but it was not a good start to our stay.
Gas fireplace was supposed to be a feature of the room, but it didn't work with either the remote or the switch. This also meant there was no heat in the room.
The bed is ridiculously high--older people would have a hard time getting in and out of it. And the ceiling fan is ridiculously low--kids on the bed could easily reach it and I was able to grab the blades standing on the floor. Seems like a liability.
And, "Please Remove Your Shoes" on the front door? This is really annoying. I'm a paying customer, not a guest in your home. I'll remove my shoes when I damn well feel like it.
Finally, I just think it's a bad idea to try to run a place with no staff on the premises. At least have someone on site for a few hours around check-in time. Their text says housekeeping staff is there until around 3 pm. If you need something or there's a problem with the room, you're supposed to let someone know before 3. Guess when check-in time is? 3. This doesn't add up.

The location is good and the room was good with a carport to park in. It was quiet other than a little noise from the highway occasionally. The room was clean. The bed was TERRIBLE! The mattress was completely worn out and should have been replaced long ago. The provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash were in mason jars with pumps on them which we did not trust as you could just unscrew the tops and put whatever you wanted in them which didnt seem good as anyone could have contaminated them, so we went and bought travel size containers for ourselves. The shower has very low water pressure and there seemed to be a very small water heater because the hot water ran out about 5 minutes into a shower. All in all it was a good place that could have been great. Ill probably go back if they replace the beds.

Good host communication. For us with a large truck and cottage #1 we had good parking.
This cottage did everything we asked of it.
Good bed, clean bathroom, hot shower, and full kitchen.
We will definitely stay again while in the Fort Bragg area.
4.3
We had a great stay and it's right near a lot of beaches

Shoreline Cottages were adorable and well-maintained, for the most part. I stayed in cabin 10, the “Ocean” cabin. Suitable for 2, but I was there alone. Private patio area was nice, but it only had benches and not comfy chairs for reading. The linens were great, and the furniture was updated. The mattress could use a flip or replace. Nice fireplace but I didn’t use it. There’s very little pressure from the rain head shower so it takes longer than it should to rinse even medium length hair. I would definitely stay here again. Convenient enough to go into Ft Bragg, as well as south for adventures to Little River, Mendocino, or Caspar. No restaurants within walking distance, and if you’re a light sleeper, bring a white noise machine to cover the sound of the highway.

This is our third time here & we stay in same room every time, we love it! They are nice little rooms with a full kitchen which is more budget friendly. The staff are very friendly and help immediately if needed. The one thing I would change is the mattress. It was uncomfortable this time.
4.3
This is our 2nd time visiting the property. We love that its dog friendly. Close to downtown and restaurants/shopping. Personal parking in front of room. Easy in/out access. Cant wait to visit again!
4.3
The Bird House cabin was clean and very functional. The beds and pillows were good and comfortable. The unit could use a few more outlets for chargers. The decor was adequate but needed a little TLC. It was a
Good value for the area.

This is my 3rd time staying at this property and it has everything i need. Thank you.
4.3
Great room, clean and comfortable
4.3
Loved the fireplace heater. Nice ambiance. Shower in #9 needs to be re-caulked. Didn’t bother me that much but it could bother others. Towels were very nice and the room was made up beautifully. I will look forward to visiting again!

Housekeeping is the only one who comes to the property but leaves by 3:00. The hot tub was disgusting. I was told someone would come to clean it. No one did. The property itself is not taken care of and there are weeds waist high.
4.3
Love this property!
4.3
First time staying here. We loved the cottage we were in and plan to stay there again for the next trip to the coast.
4.3
Cute and very clean cottages, comfortable and convenient with a nicely equipped kitchenette that allows for cooking if desired. The contactless check in is very easy, with code provided for the electronic door lock.
Housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful, providing extra towels and sundries, great job with cleanliness!!
Will definitely come again.

Loved the nodernized heating. Kitchen well equipped. Very clean.
Entrance has a lot of large ruts. Would love to see pwerstrip to be able to plug in electronics.

The room stinks.

We had a great stay at this cottage. It was an easy and straightforward check in and check out process. It was clean, with a well-appointed kitchen. The bed and pillows were very comfortable which gave us restful sleep. The cottage is beside the main road but because of the cul-de-sac layout, the road noises were barely audible. There was free parking on a car port attached to the cottage which was safe. The cottage was in a great location. Just a short drive to all the nearby beaches and to the town proper. The humidity in the cottage was a mild issue as the floors in the bathroom and kitchen were constantly moist and therefore might be prone to mold. Overall, a good value for money. We had a great stay and would recommend this place to friends and family.
4.3
The room had plenty of room and extra perks such as outside tables and chairs. Our room was far enough from the road so I did not hear the cars and trucks in the early morning. We both appreciated the close drive to the Noyo Harbor.
4.3
The property was run down with only 1 loud space heater for warmth. In general felt dirty and unkept
4.3
The room was excellent the landscaping could use some attention and the sewage water running down the driveway needed some attention also
4.3
Very clean and affordable. Everything you need to make our stay comfortable
4.3
Only stayed one night, but cottage was updated and very clean. Kitchen well stocked and linens nice.
4.3
Super cute cottage with a beach theme. Had all the amenities of a nice Hotel. Great location! Easy check in and out. Friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again!!
4.3
Clean and well set up. A little hard to find. Shower was great. Easy contact and easy entry. Would have used hot tub and outdoor area if it hadn’t been dumping buckets of rain
4.3
I liked the firepit and outside seating area.
I also liked that the rooms don't sharing connecting walls.
Pet friendly
4.3
Lovely cottages! Ours had everything we needed and plan to come stay here again! The management was very accommodating.
4.3
While these cottages are cute, centrally located and had a kitchen, the heaters were small, and the toilet was leaking on the floor.
4.3
We have stayed here MANY times, through a few different ownership groups.
The contactless check-in (and all that has gone into renovating to make that happen) is great!
Staff were very helpful and accommodating (we needed a pet basket, and they provided it while we were out and about, which was super helpful!).
I will say that 10am checkout is a bit early, and not super convenient (considering check-in is 3pm). It used to be later, which allowed us to go to breakfast and then come back to collect out belongings. 10am put us into a little bit of a rush to get out before breakfast since we knew we would not be able to get back by checkout.
Otherwise, we highly recommend this location for a stay.
We will definitely return!

My husband and I stayed for a weekend and loved it. We appreciated that we had more privacy than a typical hotel room and that we had access to a kitchen to prepare simple meals. The setting is quiet and the cottage was very clean. We didn't bring our dog with us this time, but like that they are dog friendly. The staff are easy to communicate with and very attentive.
4.3
10 AM Checkout time is to early. Construction in the parking lot, noisy and Inconvenient. Hopefully it will be finsihed next time we visit. Other than that it is a great place to stay.
4.3
A very well equipped & clean room. The only possible complaint would be the low toilet making it difficult for a semi disabled person. Otherwise, a very satisfactory place
Two heaters really made it comfortable.
4.3
I love this place so much. If you're looking for a luxurious resort stay with room service, this isn't it. If you're looking for a good location, price, and room with all the essentials stay a weekend, you cannot go wrong with Shoreline Cottages.
This was my third time staying here and while some things have changed post covid, they did not disappoint. Thank you Devan and the rest of the team there for my comfy night. I will be back, hopefully soon.
4.3
Felt brand new. Everything clean and worked.
I wish there was a broom.
Some notice of what was expected 8n terms of doing dishes would have been nice in this kitchenless cabin.
4.3
Smaller than expected from the pictures. They have construction which made it a bit difficult to get in out and the entrance has a bunch of pot holes (which isn’t what the construction was dealing with). Not sure how they can call it a kitchenette (we had the two qeeen beds room) when the only extra thing you get is a dirty toaster over and some plates / silverware/ glasses on top of what’s expected from a room. No iron or ironing board.
4.3
Its a perfect location. Clena cozy tons of amenities. Hot tub great. Literally wanna live there
