I stayed in a room in the front of the hotel. There were loud noises that constantly woke us up. I would suggest a room in the back of the hotel if you wish to stay there. The bathroom had zero toiletries. Not even a bar of soap. Soap was provided on request. The shower curtain was mildewed causing the bathroom to smell. Also the tub did not drain well after taking a shower.
The location itself is quaint for the quarter. They did have complimentary water bottles and coffee in the lobby area.

When viewing most hotels online the pictures always make the property look better than in person. While the photos on Hotels.com were appealing they do not do this hotel justice. It was absolutely amazing! All the best NOLA vibes!

This a great example of a historic boutique hotel. Each room is different and only the bathroom amenities and windows have been modernized. It is a confusing hodge-podge of rooms and corridors to find the tiny elevator and your room. The WiFi and TV were great. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and the location less than a block from Bourbon Street and a short walk to Jackson Square can't be beat. Just make sure that, unlike us, you don't come for the weekend when Taylor Swift is performing 3 shows in the Superdome. The prices were sky-high (at all hotels) and the attractions and restaurants were extremely busy.

I just love this hotel. The alleys and courtyards are so cool.

the Olivier House is beautiful. we had room 111 (a loft room) and it was so awesome. the whole property is so cool. the outside is deceiving, the property is HUGE! It’s an older establishment like most of the french quarter, but would rather stay here than any of the “chain” hotels. the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. free coffee (regular and espresso!) and water for guests. the lobby cats are also very sweet and welcoming. the pool is gorgeous and just what we needed after walking around (still humid here in LA in sept 😂) each room has individual aesthetic, you feel like you are staying in a plantation home. you definitely want to stay here to get the whole NOLA experience. and location is absolutely perfect. you are almost smack dab in the middle of the french quarter. i can see why people say they will only stay here from now on. we were so impressed 💖

This beautiful hotel was absolutely the best hotel we've ever been to. Will certainly wanna go back to spend another vacation there. We were able to see all the rooms and were able to choose which one we want to stay. Each room were different and we found it very difficult to choose the one we wanted as they all were so lovely, so nicely decorated. Beds were very very good. In the lobby, there was coffee, tea, muffins, cookie etc and if you wanted to have a special coffee (espresso, cappucino etc) the staff made it for you and there was also speacial syraps to add to coffee and all of these were for free. Staff was always very nice and helpful, especially all men. Many thanks to them all for everything. Best regards from Finland!

John, our concierge was wonderful and took good care of us. The hotel is gorgeously quaint and takes you back in time. We will be back!

Would stay here again. Everyone was so helpful!

Full of character!

Beautiful property, would definitely stay again. The only downside is the French Quarter isn’t managed well enough. It would be nice to see New Orleans close off the streets at night for the public in the French quarter. Too much unnecessary car noise.
That was the only negative.

Near Bourbon Street. Friendly staff and people…cozy room out of the norm…enjoyed our stay.

Historic, beautiful, and unique home. Staff was super friendly. Valet parking was nice! Our new cat friends, including the employee of the month, made the stay that much better :-) Looking forward to returning next year.

Amazing place to stay!! The staff were above and beyond nice kind and wanted your stay to be the best. Encourage anyone to stay here just AMAZING!

Olivier House feels like home away from home. Its cozy, New Orleans feel and not a box hotel. The courtyard and pool are beautiful, relaxed atmosphere. From inside our room we can't hear all the noise of the city, but the view is nice and lots of greenery on the property. Coffee is great, the people are great. Strongly recommend!

This was probably the most unique hotel experience my wife and I have had. The rooms were clean and had such incredible charm. The hotel staff were friendly and very professional. We will definitely be returning to this one.

It’s worn down but that’s part of it. Beautiful stat.

My girlfriend and I loved our stay. She stated it was best room she had ever stayed in.

This place was so unusual and amazing. Pictures don’t do it justice. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about the area and gave us great recommendations for food around the french quarter. The location couldn’t be any better, close to Bourbon Street but far enough from the noise. Definitely recommend staying here and we will be back!

Loved the Olivier house! Will be booking again!!

This is one of the most unique hotels I have ever stayed in. The room I had was amazing.

Everything was amazing and bonus: there’s 3 cats wandering around and napping at all times of the day!

Great location. Cool, old hotel. Great NOLA vibes at this place. Friendly front desk, several cats running around which my wife and son enjoyed. I enjoyed the Community coffee available all day. Didn’t see any ghosts, but rumor has it that they visit sometimes. Definitely will stay here again.

This place is amazing! Great staff, truly happy to see you. Chris met us outside at checkin. They have coffee, hot chocolate, tea & water at all times. The rooms are so cool and very clean! This will be out go-to place in New Orleans.

The people at the front desk were not as friendly and welcoming as they were when I stayed here three years ago. They seemed very unconcerned and nonchalant- on their phones when customers were in the lobby area, they did not greet us, had a cat on the table (not concerned about customers allergies), did not take good care of the coffee area (old snacks), and just not as nice and welcoming as I once remembered. We paid over $400 per night and this visit didn’t add value to the price.

I love the overall service we received. They are very friendly and the other guest were very helpful. The room are large with very high ceilings. They also have a nice view from on the balcony. The price was so reasonable. I would love to come back again when I visit New Orleans!

This hotel was very unique! We love staying in unique places. That said we also knew that this hotel was right around the corner from Bourbon street. This was our first time in NO. So the noise was to be expected. If you are older make sure not to have a room upstairs as the courtyards to get to the rooms are not air conditioned. This was ok for us. They do have an elevator but it is very small. I have never been is an elevator that small. The people were fantastic! The cats on property were so chill. I loved that they had water in the lobby for guest free of charge 24/7. This was great since the heat index was over 100 everyday.
The hotel is very central to the are for walking. The balcony was really nice to have. The beds need to be updated as they were pretty worn and hard. But we slept just fine. Overall we enjoyed this little quirky place.
The only other thing was it maybe haunted! My husband was in the bathroom getting ready for the day and I was sitting on the bed and the whole bed shook! Twice. I thought it was an earthquake! They do not have earthquakes in NO. My husband did not feel it in the bathroom only steps away. So there is that. Enjoy!

Very unique and old school feel. Do not stay here if you not prepared to climb a lot of stairs. I had an issue with bugs in the room.

If you’re looking for a chain hotel with identical laminate rooms this isn’t the place for you. But if you want an absolutely world class experience, with stellar customer service, rooms and suites that are unique unto themselves and all decadently opulent, lush courtyards, lacy wrought iron balconies, and a tranquil pool, then this is your place. The core of the property is a mansion that was built in 1839, and is furnished with antiques and art that are true to that. There are also several connected and close by buildings that make up the remainder of the hotel, and help provide a comfortable experience for guests from couples to large families. The staff, and especially John the concierge, do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. He was happy to recommend dining and other venues and options to enhance our visit, and was always glad to answer questions. The hotel is 1/2 block off Bourbon, so you’re in the heart of the French quarter, but our street facing balcony room was never too noisy. There is onsite parking for an additional fee, and while they don’t have a restaurant they do have a coffee bar, cookies, snacks, and cold bottled water all free in the beautiful front parlor. There are a couple of stairs up to the front door, and some small step up or downs between the different buildings. But I was told they have a different entrance that is wheelchair accessible. Oh, and there are three adorable cats that roam the public spaces, which is the perfect touch.

The best place I have ever stayed in New Orleans !

Always a pleasure to stay here! This will always be our NOLA go-to

This was a wonderful vintage property full of unique artwork and vintage styling that was nothing short of romantic for my wife and I.
The courtyards and balconies really added to the charm of this property.
42 rooms with about a dozen styles available. One block from Bourbon Street and walking distance to many of the best restaurants New Orleans has to offer.
We'll definitely return.
