First of all, I must tell you than I am handicapped and require a walker. So getting around is not so easy. I was kind mad when the agent said I needed the license off my Car. No one else was in the Lobby. There were 2 employees. No one offered to help me. However after I went outside one of them brought out a pad and paper for me. If she went outside, couldn't she have gone outside to get it firsthand?? Ok so I let that go. When I went up to my room I was confronted with the photo I posted. See the dust. Filthy! So I called the front desk and found out the room had not been cleaned for at least 2 weeks because no one had stayed there. Now this is a handicap room. Do you think someone could have checked to see if it was clean? My last complaint is about the Bed. It was not comfortable at all. It was also not the same as the pictures provided on the Web sight. I expect more of a Wyndham Hotel. This certainly failed. I hope it is an isolated incident and not indicative of the new customer service. Another point that riled me is that the employee on duty offered me nothing in the way of compensating me for the lack of service. I didn't ask for anything, and I surely did not receive anything except for a "I'm Sorry". If you have mobility issues, This is not the place to stay!!

Each Thanksgiving I travel to the beach with my family and stay at a resort that meets a particular set of criteria. This year we chose North Padre Island over our usual destination. I looked for a resort to specifically meet my criteria: beach access, bar, breakfast, restaurant, and hot tub. Additionally, this year I was hoping to find one with a gym as well. When we booked this trip six months ago, it appeared to meet those criteria. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived, it fell far short. The beach access is fabulous and the outdoor bar is pricey but offers great views and seating. The first morning, breakfast was never put out and the coffee was from the previous day. A TAD more was offered for breakfast the following mornings. It was scant and they put it out late and put it away early. The restaurant/grill was closed for remodeling and from what I could gather, the hot tub hadn’t worked in months. The hotel is beautiful and has potential, but it’s rundown - carpet stains and tape in the elevator holding the panels on. The staff was friendly. I don’t think it’s laziness on their part, but rather lack of resources. I shouldn’t be charged a “resort fee” of $35 a night per room when I’m not getting the benefits of staying at a resort. We booked three rooms. We won’t be back.

It was ok. I was expecting more based on the reviews is why I chose this hotel. First thing I was welcomed by a cockroach on the table in which were suppose to eat which was gross. Second the housekeeper took out the trash and I asked for extra trash bags and towels, said she’d be back and never returned. Third bought food to heat up on the stove and it didn’t work. Breakfast might have been the only decent thing about this stay.

Enjoyed the stay, but the mattress was way too hard.

The room was not cleaned well. The room was shabby. The linens are way past replacement. The room was very moldy smelling.

The hall way had a very strong odor like mold, room ac did cool much and the first night out toilet didn’t flush and fill up with water. We asked for another room and where told they would just send maintenance to fix.

Everything with the hotel was fine. However, when I accidentally forgot to login to my wife and I's shared account, I called and texted with Hotel .com's representatives and ask if they could credit the reservation (that I had literally just booked minutes before reaching out), I was told that there was NO way that could be done. I have always found you guys to be very helpful in the past...just a little disappointed that nobody could assist me with this simple request.
Regards,
Cody & Heather Driggers

We were for a ladies golf tournament and thought this was a great place to stay. Nice and convenient!

Overall the room felt not clean for some reason. There were cobwebs and the dishes provided had grease/oil on them. Room above me stomped around at night and at 4:30am to 5:30am each of the 3 mornings I was there. If I ever have to go back to San Angelo I wouldn’t stay there again. Not sure how it got rated an 8 by guests?

Bathroom floor had footprints when we arrived. Room had odor when first entered.
TV was so small, couldn’t view from bed.

Hotel and room were clean and close to stores and restaurants

The a/c in the room was rickety (loud) but the room stayed cool. Annoying to fall asleep to, but ultimately for the money this was a good value stay.

Area near shopping

Common areas were very clean, but the hallway and room A/C units were very dirty. The room itself looked clean, but the carpet was musty and kind of wet the entire time.

The hotel "newish" was located in a good part of town and i had no issues finding or getting around. The room was clean; however, underneath the bed they had a lot of dirt. I was also placed in a handicapped room that didn't make me thrilled. We couldn't figure out how to work the stove until the day we left. Yes, they had a 2 burner stove in the room and full size refrigerator. The breakfast was really good. I wish they would have made water available during breakfast, but they only offered hot water for coffee and apple juice.
Overall a good stay and I would definitely stay again.

The front desk person and staff were welcoming. The room above mine was extremely loud and they were stomping all night.

The carpet in my room was a little ragged at the transition between the tile floor and the carpet. The rest of the room was great.

The hotel is located in a very comfortable and convenient area. The staff was great, especially Cassidy. She was very friendly and give us good recommendations for dinning at The Grill. Great place to have a good meal and great drinks. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great for the money

Nothing. Will never go thru a third party again. They do not give military, aarp, or any other discount that is available.

The hotel is fairly new, clean, and simple. Parking was a little limited, but available. The door frame to the room was not quite square, leaving a gap where light could be seen on the other side.

The location was great and so was the room. I’ve never seen 12 ft ceilings in a Hotel room. Staff is great. They helped me with lots of information since I was new to the place.

The staff was friendly from the start. Very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was good, but the lady attending the breakfast was truly wonderful. I will definitely be staying here again 😀

Fix your elevator. Twice it would not go up from floor 1 and we had to take the stairs to floor 3.

Clean room. Comfortable beds. Feels safe. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast with hot and cold options.
4.0
Very convenient location for our trip to doctors and shopping HEB.
2.0
It smelled like propane, the elevator was broken, the room was really dirty, something in the room made my eye puff out like it does when I'm having an allergic reaction, and the walls were thin so I could hear my neighbors drinking and laughing until late in the night. Convenient location to the State Park, but would stay elsewhere if visiting San Angelo.
