Excellent location with great restaurants and a beautiful view. 10 minute drive from red hook!

The villa was beautiful, clean and well appointed. Staff was very responsive and hospitable. And much of the resort was maintained well with foliage being actively trimmed while we were there. However, there were areas that were a bit rough around the edges. Many of the wooden bar areas were peeling near Sun and Sea Bar and Grill needing repainting. The hightop pool area showed and smelled with significant evidence of local feral cats on the cushions on the furniture. Given the hills the resort was built on, there wasn't an ability to "walk" the resort. We had a car, but having golf cart rentals available might be helpful for visitors to get to resturants and pools.

Our Villa facing the Ocean, the view was absolutely beautiful!!! We will definitely stay there when we return!!!

This place was a hidden Gem located near so many great local sites and "to do's". The staff were super friendly. The room was clean and just perfect for our needs. Some of the rooms were showing their age but it didn't impact our our stay one but.

There's nothing to like about that resort except inside the villa
Anything else it's horrible the outage of power happens daily for a several hours it's time
The staff they don't care when you ask them why this happening
There's no access to any beach around the resort unless you have a car or taking a taxi which very costly
I really was very disappointed
I highly don't recommend it

This resort is more of a rental not the typical resort with swim up bar, huge pools, etc. So keep that in mind.
However for this vacation it was soooooo perfect. The apt itself was unreal!!! It was perfect for 2 people with the size. It was super clean including all you need with a full kitchen, bed, strong shower, all windows and the best part was the BALCONY! O could spend hours there. The apt was B25.
The resort is VERY HILLY so please keep that in mind, lots of uphill and downhill walking but there is a shuttle car to take you around.

Amazing views. Walking distance to coki beach, marine world and margaritaville. Short taxi to red hook for St. John ferry. Amazing fish tacos and wings (which you can feed the bones to the massive tarpon fish right next to you). There was rolling blackouts when we stayed but was island wide. No fault of property. Will definitely be coming back!

Loved our stay. Beautiful views and the staff is great. Will be back for our third trip. Convenient location next to redhook and Coki beach. It is like the old Caribbean before the mega resorts and hotels took over everything

The property is on a mountain side so to access rooms you have to climb hills and stairs. It would be nice to have that noted in the description. The island kept loosing power. When there was no power there was no water on the property. With these two issues it should be noted that these are things you may encounter when visiting the property

Beautiful resort! Customer service was A+. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We loved the views from our villa A17. Food was great. Sugar Beach was a perfect hideaway spot for us that we enjoyed going to daily. The grounds were nicely kept up. Though the hills were steep and the roads were very rocky, if you don’t mind a little cardio then there won’t be a problem for you. All of our taxi drivers were super nice but drove like Indy 500 racers! It took awhile for us to adjust to driving on the opposite side of the road. Our shuttle drivers on the resort were the best. Drakes Seat is a must see. We even had two black kitty visitors everyday. This trip was for us to relax and unwind for a week and we did just that. Loved the island.

The staff was absolutely amazing. However, our unit was not so amazing. The stove did not work. No Wi-Fi, power kept going out. The bathroom is in need of immediate repairs. Tub surface peeling, A lot of dirt buildup on floors and walls. We were told each unit was individually owned. The unit we stayed in was B-23! The view is Absolutely beautiful and the staff are very accommodating! But it was not worth the price that I paid due to the poor upkeep of the villa.

The views are just amazing! We were at the top level and it did require a lot of walking which as very steep but they have a shuttle service if needed. The pools are great. Small little beach area is not much but you could snorkel off it. It’s rocky. Water from restaurant was good and beautiful - most servers amazing but one or two were very grumpy. We had reservations at their higher end restaurant which when we went was closed and we had not gotten a call to let us know. Then next day the beach restaurant closed but that was they day we were going. The Coki beach area is awesome with a great little dive shop to rent snorkel gear or to take guided scuba dives. Highly recommended. Also power went out across the island on the day we were leaving so really did not affect us and they said it does happen from time to time. Would definely recommend staying here.

My stay was amazing!!! The overall property and environment was breathtaking… situated in an exclusive area in the beautiful hills of St. Thomas and with breathtaking views. My friend and I rented a villa at Point Pleasant resort, and I could not be more satisfied with the accommodations. The property was amazing, offering a clean, homelike atmosphere, and provided an awesome water view accessible from our private deck. The staff were friendly and always readily available for help when we needed to access various locations on the resort. I would especially like to extend my gratitude to Sheri, who works at the front desk reception and welcomed us each morning with a smiling face, and Willie, who kept us laughing and was a friendly staple within the shuttle services, for making our trip so special. If you a planning an Island vacation that is memorable definitely visit Point Pleasant, you will receive the experience of a lifetime.

We loved Point Pleasant Resort!! The entire staff was so helpful and friendly. The property is beautiful, the room was AMAZING!!! We got to know the entire staff at The Sun and Sea, it was like being at home, but in the Virgin Islands!! This was our first visit but we’ve already discussed coming back.

I didn’t like the skylight in the apartment. What a terrible design!
The sun is on top of the bed early in the morning and heats the room.

The property had several stains Al over the place and had issues with all the utilities. Air conditioner did not worked along with the restroom did not flush. In general bad experience would expected better and next time will think several times before booking from Expedia.

This resort rents out units when the owner is not there. Constructed in the 1970's, our unit was updated nicely. The good... The views from the units are incredible! Most, if not all, face east and early morning sunrises are fantastic! The wall of windows/sliding doors highlights the views as well. The snack bar was a godsend! We could have drinks and decent meals within steps rather than having to pay for a taxi to go out and get something. We used 2 out of the 3 pools. Both were very nice, clean, had great views as well, and were without crowds of people. The property shuttle was very helpful given the steep hills the resort sits on. The staff we interacted with were polite and tried to be accommodating where possible. The not good: Anything you use up during your stay, you have to get more of yourself. We used all the toilet paper. We asked for more but never got any. We had to get our own. The A/C unit was OK for the bedroom, but was not able to cool the entire unit. Also, what no one told us beforehand is that there are rolling electric service blackouts for 4-6 hours every single day. No power at all. No kitchen to make dinners, no fans, no A/C, no fridge, no TV, and no lights. Using the bathroom was impossible with the doors closed. Also, the water pressure must be power assisted because we'd lose all water during that time as well. Blackouts are an island problem but the resort should warn guests. We had no idea it was going to happen and had no plan to deal with it.

I would have rated this property better but the power kept going out and they had no generator. I require a cpap to sleep and if I had known this was an issue I would have stayed somewhere else. It also got very hot with no a/c or water when the power went out. When I tried to say something to the front desk, I was told to complain to someone else.

Beautiful grounds and friendly staff always willing to help and drive me on the property grounds to access other areas like restaurant and back to condo.

The property is beautiful and the staff is amazing. My family and I really enjoyed Yolanda in the restaurant. We were there for 6 days & 5 nights. Everyday and night, there was a power outage several times throughout the day lasting for 2– 4 hours each time. It became challenging for a family of 6 to shower and maintain our hygiene, especially after leaving the pool. If we didn’t plan properly, we didn’t have water!!! The living quarters were amazing; however, when the electricity returned, there were only 1- 2 plugs that were functioning properly. Also, my family and I would wake up in a sweat for lack of air conditioning in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, we couldn’t open a window for fear of getting bit by mosquitoes. Power outages became so routine, we figured out the schedule. Then we planned our outdoor activities as to when we would have electricity. Other than the intermittent power outages, the facility & staff is great and welcoming.

If there is any chance of rain Do Not stay this property. We were in the dark for 2 days (no power). We lost food because we couldn’t cook and wasted gas trying to stay cool in the car for hours. All we were told was it was an island problem and it’s not the resort problem it’s the owner of the Airbnb we stayed in. There are no back-up generators and no safety lights for the dangerous stairs. For our discomfort there was no resolution or compensation. Will never stay again.

Friendly shuttle service around the resort, but it takes awhile for them to get to you. Lots of walking, otherwise. I was at the top, and my view was marvelous.
No pop machines or anything like that, so be prepared, lol.
