Excellent location and charm. Items noted in previous reviews still remain. Very uncomfortable bed, and the whole suite could use some love and a deep clean. A few furniture pieces were different than the photos (purple velvet settee/sleeper is a now a generic uncomfortable futon). Overall great stay, but not quite 5 stars based on items noted. The courtyard area right outside our door was beautiful!

It was fine , wish housekeeping did more , stayed 3:4 nights and they never came in to give new towels or take garbage out

This place is absolutely gorgeous! It gives you the real feel of being a Mew Orleans resident in one of those swanky, old world-style, Bourbon St apartments. Only complaint was that we shared a street balcony with our neighbor, and he stayed up until the wee hours of the morning partying with strangers and bouncing a basketball against our wall, but it’s New Orleans, so what do you expect, LOL!... Otherwise, the place was absolutely amazing. I will definitely stay here again!

If you want a true New Orleans experience in the French Quarter. This is the place to stay. The old world feel will make it feel like you stepped back in time, with a few modern amenities ;) I loved all the unique finishes and decor.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. Barrett was very attentive of our needs. Location was perfect, we walked everywhere. We weren’t in the room much

Cool building, lots of history, in the heart of the French quarter, comfortable room and balcony was cool, parking is a little rough but its the like that in the whole area. From the balcony you can people watch, see the horse and carriage go by and hear the guided tours!

The bathroom was small and there was a nail sticking out on this wood where the toilet sat on which was also odd. The door to bathroom couldn’t even be opened all of the way because there was a coffee bar placed next to the bathroom. Also there were times where there was either no hot water or no running water at all in the room.

Absolutely horrible to find! No sign out front. Room was beautiful! Barrett was the worst person to deal with! He refused to let us have 1 HOUR check out! It was my wedding day!

The room was really nice, with a beautiful romantic decor. The outside and the entrance though was not great, it should be renovated because it looks dirty and abandoned.
Great service, they responded fast and politely to my requests.

Long weekend. Excellent location just off Bourbon St.Clayton, owner since 1980 was very helpful in suggestions for things to see and places to go. Hotel was a single family home until he converted it.Beautiful atrium. Comfortable.

In town for atmosphere this is definitely your place. Its well located on the quiet end of Bourbon St., close enough to a grocery store and places to pick up provisions. This is NOT a hotel so bring your coffee and snacks - pick up what else you need while you are in town. There is a fridge & microwave for your leftovers from the yummy dinners out you will no doubt have after a few days. There is a beautiful enclosed courtyard for relaxing and some of the rooms have balconies right over the street or the courtyard. It could use a little more care in the cleaning etc., but it suited just fine. If you want hotel type atmosphere, this should not be your choice, but if you want to feel like you live here, its great. The owner is on site during the work day, but completely non-intrusive, while being cordial and helpful when asked. Would book again for a long visit.
