Hotel was good, only down sides lift not working and reduce parking lot

Our room is big enough for a family of 3. Everything was fine

Very old. It was clean, but a lot of bugs, and very dated. Breakfast was ok at least. Check in, check out was fast. Bratislava is small, so around $10 for Uber. Very limited English...Ok for overnight budget sleep, nothing more.

Never had so much noise in a hotel. The staff wasn't friendly (except 2 ladies at the reception) and breakfast was poor

Nice hote just a bit far from center, but great service, excellent breakfast and nice staff

The staff are mostly lovely, although there is a very small minority who taint the overall ambiance. The accommodation is off a standard and clean. But in the height of summer be sure to get a room with AC as the accommodation is on the top floor and the roof acts as a heat sink. The surrounding area offers basic amenities and there is a convenient nearby bus station. What is lacking are local dining opportunities. This can be troublesome at the weekend when the hotel restaurant is closed for functions. A good breakfast however is included in the room rate and is available 7 days. If you need to be in this part of town then the Modena makes perfect sense, but if you want to more freely explore Bratislava city I would suggest moving closer to the centre. That said taxis are available via apps and are very reasonably priced. Bus services are efficient, regular and cheap but you need to understand the ticketing system which unusually is time based.

Upon arrival, we were not welcomed very warmly. We arrived with a toddler and quite a few bags and were forced to park 150 meters from the hotel to unload. They wouldnt open the front gate for us to unload. Then the guy didn't help us with the bags. He told us where the elevator was and we had to do it on our own.
The location was less than ideal. It was a 15 min drive to the old town and there wasn't much around the hotel. Everything closed early except for one convenience store.
The only upside was the woman front desk person. She was really helpful and when we returned to the hotel she ordered food for us since we were hungry with no choice around. She was great.

I did not know that it was so far from the historical city. I stayed at the hotel the first night and the following day, I went to enjoy that amazing city
