We loved our stay at this property. Sophia is so welcoming and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble even offering pick ups etc if required from the lovely town of Tanunda. Breakfast on the verandah is such a good way to start the day with excellent presentation and taste - you may not want to leave! A pre dinner drink back on the verandah watching the sun set and world passing by is highly recommended. All in all - a fabulous stay - thank you Sophia - your hosting skills are exemplary.

We were visiting Barossa Valley for one night and got to the hotel early, as we were being picked up by our wine driver for a tour. The owner came out and greeted us and offered to make us coffee. She also let us in to the room early. She was friendly and very welcoming. The room was adorable and the whole property was lovely. The next morning another woman working at Barossa House greeted us when we left the room and insisted on making us breakfast. She was so friendly and kind. It was a great experience and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Our host Sophia made us feel at home from the minute we walked in, and she was unfailingly kind, warm and helpful. She made a special effort to help us become familiar with the region and made great suggestions for places to visit, including wineries and restaurants. The room was charming and impeccably clean, and breakfast was delicious. Our only regret was that our stay was too short!

Barossa House was a very pretty and comfortable place to stay. Sofia, the owner, was wonderful and made us the most delicious breakfasts for our stay of four nights. The only negative was the small bathroom but other than that, would definitely stay again.

Wonderful old house with a mixture of old and new decor. Although located on a main road, we were unable to to hear any traffic noise inside so was extremely peaceful. Ideal property when staying with friends due to multiple bedrooms.
Happily stay again 😊

The hospitality and warmth is beyond compare. The property is very central to major dining areas, wineries, Main Street and very quiet, very safe and picturesque.

We had wanted to visit Adelaide in winter to get away from the hot weather in Singapore and chanced upon the listing of Barossa House in Barossa valley. It was about 3 minutes outside of downtown Tanunda but it was a perfect spot to base ourselves for visits to the nearby towns of Angaston, Nuriootpa and the Seppeltsfield area. Also great for morning runs with space to stretch the legs as there is a cycling/running trail just across the road.
The biggest draw however was the hospitality shown by host Sophia, who made us feel at home. She also whips up fantastic breakfast offerings which the family greatly enjoyed. We stayed in two rooms inside the house, which works better for winter given the cold nights and there is a nice lounge which we can use. If you decide to stay, do say hi to the lovely tabby Oscar but make sure it says outside of the house!

Very clean and nice room. Sophia is a wonderful host. The outside is a little out of maintenance and probably needs some TLC.

Sophia is a wonderful hostess who provided delicious breakfasts each morning with superb expression coffee. Our only disappointment was that the bikes were out of action and bathroom was small but probably part of that era.
We had a very enjoyable stay.

We would highly recommend the Barossa House. We stayed for 5 nights and it was very well located if you are visiting the wineries in the Barossa Valley. Sophia and Leo, the owners, are very welcoming and make everyone feel comfortable in their home. The breakfast each morning was excellent and Sophia had great suggestions for things to do in the area. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. We would definitely choose the Barosssa House the next time we are visiting the Barossa Valley.

For our first time in Barossa this was a perfect spot to stay. Central to much of the wine and sightseeing areas. Our room was perfect for our family and Sophia, as reviewed by others provides a sumptuous breakfast. Highly recommend staying here and we look forward to going back.

We had a get away to the Barossa Valley for Father's day weekend, staying two nights at Barossa House. The property is absolutely fabulous. Beautifully decorated with lovely gardens. Sophia is an incredible host and is helpful with ideas for what to do during your stay and making bookings on her guests behalf. She also provides a delicious cooked breakfast.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay and intend to return one day soon. We could not recommend it highly enough.

Beautiful old home and the owner created a lovely atmosphere with nostalgic background music in the foyer/dining area matching the home. Amazing breakfasts each day and the room is extremely comfortable. If you have problems with stairs let them know beforehand as our room was upstairs but the room was beautiful. Staff and hosts were lovely, very accomodating. Will definitely revisit.
