Wonderful in every way.

Amazing property, very hospitable staff and great food.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I paid almost $1000 for my room for 1 night. Basic room, and i was robbed, possibly by staff members while on the resorts beach. When telling the staff, some people laughed it off and others ignored my situation. No concern or help, let alone compensation. DO NOT STAY HERE if you value your possessions. Zero care from management.

Amazing hospitality, great food and drink. Only downside is the night entertainment could be better singers were playing slow songs most of the night, needed to be more upbeat so we could dance

Leann from reception was very genuine, extremely helpful and welcoming.
Kay was definitely making sure we enjoy our stay, she is great and always have a big smile.
Thanks for the awsome service

Love love love this property! Private beach was the best, cold mint towels handed out and good food for a resort. It is a smaller resort so it feels more like a large vacation home and I loved that. Would definitely come back for another relaxing trip.

Barbados is a very beautiful place. Location was very overrated.

It was good but the on days of hurricane Sunday we had to have dinner in the room it is understood but there was no alcohol as it was all inclusive and on Monday they were given in plastic glasses and half filled with beer they would not give the cans and they would not give bottles of coke as well. As all inclusive hotel they should have a room for drinks we had to buy the drinks from the shops. We had a letter saying they will fill up with the drinks in our room fridge but there was nothing filled up except 2 water bottles.

This is the worst all inclusive I have ever stayed at!!!! To begin there was a hurricane and no one notified us beforehand so we could make a decision to idk, not come??? We get here at 1:30pm they don’t let us check in until 4. I’ve never been to a resort that did not do early check ins? Especially for all the money you pay. We are then told everything is closing at 7:30pm ok no worries we swim for a little, drink, and eat dinner. Hurricane occurs during the night, they can’t help that. That’s not my issue my issue is how they handled everything thereafter.
Breakfast, they served everything to go style from a conference room?!? Then ran out of food and started giving us white bread sandwiches!! I paid over $3500 for this trip there’s no way you expect me to eat a tuna sandwich and not even a full sandwich like a finger sandwich!!! They then tell us there are no alcoholic beverages. Despite this being an inclusive the food choices were limited and there was no abundance of food. Leaving myself and my fiancé hungry. They only had three juice options and would not provide anything else no soda etc.
Lunch, the same story limited options no soda choices same three juices. Again this is a tropical island they cannot control the weather but they can most definitely control how prepared they are for the weather and how they treat paying customers! I was thirsty and there’s nothing to eat and or drink between when they chose to serve us meals. This is absurd I’ve never been on a re

There are few pros to opt for this property like staff was very helpful and supportive but the cons of the property overpowers as well. For example we had lizard in the room with some spiders so they changed our room which was full of mosquitoes and was smaller than originally booked. Cleanliness was always the concern in the hotel all throughout.

This hotel the staff at the front desk are not very helpful also there is no Elevator in the other building of the hotel other than the main building. There was no ice at the swim up bar in the pool so to get mix drinks u had to get out of the pool and go to the main bar. The food was ok. Had reservations at the specialty restaurants and they had two staff waiting on people took us over an hour to get our food. The nightmare continues Checked out one day earlier due to the hurricane and instead of getting a refund for one day they charged me an extra day. Had to be on the phone with them back-and-forth had to send my boarding pass for my flight that showed I left one day earlier to the hotel. They did not want to take responsibility for the mistakes. It’s only after I told him to go look at the video and you will see the time I checked out of the hotel. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Staff was super friendly. Great service and hospitality was outstanding. Food and drink options could be better.

Staff members Kelly and Samantha were rude and unprofessional. My wife was told not to wear clothing with open backs to come to the buffet for breakfast, while other guests didn’t have to worry about that. I have seen guests wearing bikini-style clothing come to the buffet for breakfast, and they were not told anything. Samantha asked me for a $10 fee because I had taken some watermelon with me for my 8-month-old infant. Unbelievable. These people need to be retrained.

everything was great.
the staff are their best asset. the food is excellent.
the housekeeping needs more attention to detail, but this was understandable they were very busy with all the cricketers and tried their best.

This was a good hotel. I wish they provided more entertainment for kids and adults. After dinner, there was nothing to do during the day. They had no pool activities for adults or kids. The food was good. The staff was excellent. The resort was small.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. It was a great getaway with small kids

Over all it was OK. Food was very limited not much to choose from one buffet and two restaurants you can dine only one time in the restaurants. UMI Asian restaurant was good i enjoy it but steakhouse stay away from very hot inside and service horrible they just forgot about you. Non of the restaurants have aircondittioner rooms even buffet .Beach was ok, rocky and only one way to get to the ocean where is no rocks. It always taxi on the property convenient if you want to explore island go on the tour .Personaly i mostly like it but i will not come back unless extremely good deal. Island is beautifyl ,people very nice and you can find better resort then Sugar Bay. Overpriced 3.5 star dated hotel.

Had the most amazing experience at Sugar Bay Barbados. Everything was simply superb:
Location: Right on the beach, safe, swim-friendly lagoon with onsite access to water sports.
Property: Beautifully maintained, very clean, and elegantly decorated.
Rooms: We stayed in an oceanfront room that was warm, welcoming, cozy, well-equipped with all amenities, and extremely clean.
Food, Cocktails, Entertainment : The menu changes daily, offering fresh and delicious dishes with a great variety. The cocktails are amazing. Afternoon tea with snacks is something I looked forward to each day. They make your stay entertaining too with variety of on-site activities.
Staff: A big shoutout to the staff! Everyone is hospitable, kind, and warm, making you feel special with their excellent service. They truly make a huge difference to your stay. Special thanks to Latina, Sharon, Candice, Pedro, driver Patrick, and the entire crew (sorry🙏, I am not good with names, but each and everyone at the property is excellent) for taking such good care of us.
Service: Par Excellence
This is one of the best resorts we've stayed at. It’s unconventional and very different from standard all-inclusive resorts, with a more homely atmosphere. The personal touches they add to your experience make it worth every penny. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

My partner and I had the BEST time at Sugar Bay. There are so many positives: the resort itself is beautiful - the beach is gorgeous and clean with space for everyone. The food is excellent. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The rooms are beautifully maintained. Honestly, we spent the whole week planning a return visit!

The Sugar Bay employees were great. They seemed really kind to each other as well which is nice to see. We had some good conversations with people mixed in with the normal day to day polite interactions. The food was really good. The restaurants were good but I would have been perfectly happy to eat at Reef, the normal dining area, every day. Plenty of good veggies flavored well. The blackened fish was really really good. Basically they've thought of everything. It felt a little more low key and less gimmicky than some all-inclusives seem. Some names that stand out are Kay, Lashonda, Justin, Dylan and Tyrese but everyone was helpful and personable including housekeeping. The view from the ocean view rooms is really great from the room and especially the balcony.

The staff were pleasant and was always willing to provide assistance. Check in was quick and the room are comfortable and had a good decor. The main dinning area was clean and food options were very good. The broadwalk was a short walk away to other shops an local restaurants. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would be back.

Limited dining options for an all inclusive resort. Customer service is below average.

Beautiful property. The staff was so kind and affable. Was missing some housekeeping items and the AC unit was locked in 30C, but these issues were fixed.
2.0
There was no service at the property beach. Staff was friendly but not efficient. Breakfast and drinks were ok, the rest of the food was bland. No information on the amenities, activities, or instructions for the safe were provided either in the front desk or in the room.

Everything was wonderful…my husband and I had a great vacation…the only thing that could have been better was our experience at the steak house….service was very slow and the meat was ok….preferred Umi…food was excellent and so was the service

This was a family trip. There could have been more activities for the 2 year old. Suggestions!!! please provide some kind of slide into a kiddie pool and amenities. That would be nice.
