The hotel is in woods, and very quiet. We drove on a cart around the property, and picked up some vegetables that the hotel grows and use for the meals. The breakfast was very good.

We had a fabulous stay at the Furano Hotel. We decided to stay at the hotel all day instead of exploring the town as it was so wonderful! The onsen were very peaceful and beautiful, the view from the balcony was spectacular, and the food was absolutely delicious. We wish we could have stayed longer!

I loved this property. Everything was exceptional. The stay at the Furnace Hotel was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan!

Located in forest.
kind reception.
Guestroom needs remodeling; old fashioned, foul smell in restroom, the balcony door doesn't close perfectly so the winds come in.
Room was cold. But there was no temperature control, so I asked for an electric heater.
Morning breakfast was good.
This hotel is not good for the price.
I'm gonna find another hotel next time.

It's a really nice hotel. The bed itself is a bit hard. Other than that, the whole experience is amazing.

I stayed one night with my family. The place is wonderful; nice service and pleasant stay and the scenary is perfect for family trip. Though there is few restaurants near hotel but I recommend you to try within hotel. Nice breakfast.

Authentic high end Japanese hotel with excellent service and amenities. My sister and I truly enjoyed our stay and the food was Michelin Star quality. Perfect property location away from town and ski base, very serene. Good shuttle service to ski area and reliable taxis to town.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff, spacious room , quality food, nice bath and the hotel itself has a bod garden.
When arrived, they will provide welcoming drink and dessert. The dessert is house made pudding, which tasted very good, smoothly and milky.
Room is quite big, with a belcony where you can enjoy the view of the garden.
We went on the time that lavender hasn’t bloomed, so there could only see trees but still enjoyable.
Hot spring is also one highlight of the hotel. We had good bath there.
Don’t forget to enjoy the happy hour at the night time. All kinds of drinks and beverage you can enjoy at the lobby bar.
Maybe because we went on the none tourist season, therefore, not too much guests, which was quite nice that it seemed more relaxing and quiet.
Really enjoyed my time here. Would love to come back in the future.

We are a couple that stayed at Furano Hotel during a ski trip to Hokkaido.Very nicely designed. Large rooms. Big onsen. All is fresh, light and new and open to the surroundings. Dining room with stunning views over fields, forest and mountains.Upscale Japanese meaning tranquil, quiet and dignified. This is not the place for noisy kids or a party night at the bar. Personnel speaks mainly Japanese. Service level is very high and friendly but with less flexibility (which we find typical for Japan). Breakfast is set menu served on white linen. Very good value. Dinner is set French menu. Very nice but horrendous prices for wine.Private location 5-10 min outside the hussle and bustle. We would definitely consider Furano Hotel if visiting Furano again in the future.

Great arrival experience with very friendly staff. The hotel has a lot of cool art and the views are amazing. Nice rooms although the beds are pretty hard. The only issues were the hotel has no Wi-Fi anywhere. Also since we didn't book a breakfast package with our room they would not let us purchase breakfast so we had to go eat somewhere else. There was no one in the restaurant so we thought it was very odd they wouldn't let us buy breakfast in the morning.

This is one of those hidden gems that I want to keep to myself. But they were so wonderful that I had to write a review. This small modern hotel is nestled in the woods where you will find the tranquility unbeatable. They start off with giving you robes and slippers that you can wear around the hotel and in the very nice restaurant. Breakfast is set, and while it does not vary much day-to-day, its still a good mix of western and Japanese using local Furano dairy and ingredients when they can. Book in advance for dinner! Its a set course meal, but its different each night and the fish menu at 4500 yen is a deal. The down sides- theres a bit of a language barrier - but the staff is always curtious and willing to help. You have to arrange your own transportation for skiing- about 1000 yen taxi ride each way. These did not detract from our stay at all as the hotel onsens and beautiful music had us fully relaxed after a great day of skiing.
