A lovely building, wide hallways, high ceilings and very clean. We would stay again.

I had a nice stay. It was clean and had everything I needed in the room. The bed was quite hard for me but may suit some. The only thing I found very strange is I was with an infant and charged for a bed to put them in for each night which isn’t something that’s ever happened to me before and Iv been travelling will children for 23 years.

Lots of visible security. One of the cleanest but least expensive places I stayed during my 10 day journey. Highly recommend.

They made it so easy to book in while I was travelling between Louisbourg and Halifax. It’s right near the highway and lots of parking.

Overall our stay was ok and I would stay there again if needed however there are things that could definitely be improved upon. We rented 8 rooms and most of the employees we dealt with were excellent and a few that were quite unhelpful. For the most part it seemed clean aside from us being switched to a new room because our toilet was broken and the new room sheets were not on the bed properly and one of the comforters did not have a duvet cover at all which makes you question if the sheets were changed or in the process and not finished. The pool and gym were under construction (which we found out upon arrival). Since the pool could not be used and there is no outdoor seating anywhere we went to the soccer field to let the kids play and stay out of the way of the front entrance but were told we could not be in the area and it was locked up. This is definitely lacking in what other amenities your typical hotel has to offer for large groups or extended stays and more of a one night stay if you are touring the campus. Also, our keys constantly stopped working for the front door and the elevator was broken the day we were checking out so carrying lots of luggage down flights of stairs was quite an inconvenience. The free laundry on site was a benefit and location is great right in the center of everything.

Wonderful stay at St. FX! Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids, 9 and 13). Our room had 2 double beds and our own bathroom. Very clean. Free laundry. Within walking distance to Tim Hortons, McDonalds and a couple other restaurants. The building we stayed in was next to the highway but it was super quiet. Campus was nice to get out for a walk.
Beds weren't very comfortable for our liking, but good if you like a firm mattress.

I liked that they utilized this beautiful piece of University property as a hotel for the few summer months. Very clean and the students working the desk were very neat and respectable. I would recommend this University to friends.

We only stayed one night here but it was absolutely amazing. The lady who checked us in was very helpful and gave us great advice. We used the facilities (laundry and kitchen ) which were very clean. We will definitely be back again.

The stay was good. We didnt like the idea of separate two rooms and also there was no AC. As informed by the Reception staff the AC did work but it didnt for our rooms. Also the motion light in the hallway was irritating as it would come on and wont die for about 15 mins. Other than that everything was good. The staff was friendly, plenty of parking was available. Washrooms were very clean.

Enjoyed clean, spacious, quiet room with 2 double beds, 2 TVs, etc. Access to a full shared kitchen was also a plus, but visitors need to bring their own dishes, utensils, cooking pots, etc. Great price & near fast food places.

This was our first time staying here. It was a beautiful, clean, quiet location. A perfect place to overnight after getting off the ferry in North Sydney.

It was a very pleasant experience. The staff were very helpful and amenable. The location was in a beautiful area of Nova Scotia that is not over ran with tourists.

The room wasn't cleaned when we checked in. Received the keys and entered the room only to find messy rooms with beddings untidied, garbages on the counter.counter.

It was very easy getting to the property, as well as checking in. Staff was quite friendly and helpful: a request for a cot was dealt with in less than 10 minutes (and staff set it up themselves!). Room was clean, fridge has ample room, and washroom had everything we needed (we brought our own amenities apart from towels, tissues and soap, and these were readily available). If these are actual dorm rooms during the school year, then students may be spoiled (that’s a HUGE fridge for just one person!). TV provides access to basic cable; it seems someone had tried to access NetFlix before us but only error messages appeared. Several rooms in the building seemed readily accessible and available to lounge in and chat with other guests. Campus grounds are great for strolls, and many fast food/take-out places nearby on James Street (with legendary pizza joint The Wheel virtually only a walk across campus). Only concern: not sure how to set the air conditioning in the bedroom (if one can set it at all), as the evening was warmer than optimal but the air conditioning came on by itself after I was awake and out of bed. Perhaps not the best place to stay if one has kids with them as the rooms aren’t family-sized for play or spreading out (unless one uses the common rooms for play), but I myself would definitely stay here again!
