I stayed two nights and nobody came to clean my room, despite the fact that I hung a "please clean my room" sign outside my door from morning until late at night.
I simply informed the receptionist (without even complaining) the following day during my checkout. The receptionist simply stated, "Why didn't you call last night, now the duty person has already left," without sorry or apologizing, and with an unhappy demeanor, as if it were all our fault.

Satisfied with my stay. Nothing to complain about given the room rate and its boutique hotel status.

I picked the suite but it was way overpriced comparatively to surrounding. Place was okay but value wise, not great. Hot water may need to wait 30 mins.

We booked the basic room. The first room we were given had a foul musky smell that was quite repulsive. We requested for a change of rooms, were given one floor up. It was okay but not fantastic, the musky smell was still there. The bed had a bit of stain, the shower didn’t have hot water until half an hour later. Other than these, it was okay as we only stayed a night.

Nice property with comfortable bed! Love the place!

Convenient location, within walking distance to Jonker Street and attractions. At the riverside. Clean and big room. Downside - there is no in-room fridge and safe which is inconvenient. Staff offered to keep in the kitchen fridge and send to us when we call.

Deluxe king with window only at G floor, don't expect higher floors. And with window and without window make no difference, because blocking by next building.
Location is good, but the room I hooked not really worth the value.

With or without window doesnt really matter if theres no river view as you will be overlooking another building (which Im sure you will not even open the window). Overall is a pleasant stay- Spacious, clean, great location. One thing to note is that the room I got they actually combine 2 single beds instead of one king size bed (I booked king deluxe room). Bed is not that comfy though.

Hotel was disappointing to say the least. For the kind of price we paid we were expecting a more boutique hotel experience. View was blocked by a tree and the breakfast was very poor. Design of a/c unit, blowing straight at the bed, was poorly conceived. Bathtub was not exactly clean; car park was far and there is no guard to watch over the car park. No bellboy to help us with our luggage when we arrive AND leave the hotel. Room only come with one key card…I could go on and on but when you compare this hotel room prices with others my conclusion is we would not return to this hotel next time we visit Malacca.

The location is great, within minutes to Jonker Street and local eateries. Staff are friendly, most willing to help. Had an executive room which was lovely. Like the space, double sinks, bathtub with jacuzzi.

Very good, very well appointed and classy hotel.
The restaurant/bar could do with more options but there was plenty choice around.

nice hotel deco, but the carpet a bit smelly, had trouble with air conditional but staff quickly fixed it. Highly reccommended food at their rainforest cafe. nice view (better if you stay river view room) but quite pricey for 3stars hotel.

Parking lot very narrow causing difficulties and inconvenience. It also very creepy as it hidden at the back of building area. TV signal very poor. Wooden wardrobe smells very unpleasant like rotten food/clothes kept in there. Others ok.

Booked room with Windows but the scenery was facing a wall. Otherwise location and facilities were excellent

The hotel is located at a strategic place. If you want to walk to the Jonker street, it will take about 15-20m walk. The hotel is quiet/ peaceful , well decorated/well designed. The friendly staffs and check in process defintely made our day.

Great location on the boardwalk by the river. Quaint & charming hotel with modern & tasteful antique furnishing. Highly recommended & would definitely stay there again.:)

1) Our room was not tidy up even after we put up the "pl make my room" tag. Disappointed.
2) No bar fridge inside the room too.
3) Not enough car park lots especially during the weekends. Had to park my car elsewhere.

Hotel is nice and clean, location very good, walking distance to Jonker Street. Only regret is this hotel got no refrigerator in the room. Front desk officer (Suria) is very helpful and friendly. Only unhappiness is when we arrived from Singapore at around 12+pm and we booked 3 executive suites & 1 River Suite therefore request to early check in at least 1 room so that we can change and leave our luggage in the room. There's a Chinese young girl came out of the office and said she'll have to charge us for early check in, she is rude and unfriendly. I've travelled at least more than 10 countries and this is the only one requested for surcharge for early check in. As stated in all confirmation, early check in is subject to availability.

Needed to upgrade my room with double bed to a room with 2 single bed due to last min plan change. Was told by hotel staff there isn't any room left and hence needed to pay to upgrade to their more expensive room with a window.
The room had a tiny window facing the back kitchen of an adjacent building literally 2 meter away from the window. The window was useless with no view and I had to pull the curtain the whole time cause otherwise the neighbor would be looking directly into my bed.
The worst part was , 20mins later as I came down to the lobby I asked about room rate for a std double bed room , and it was lower than what I paid , and it was available. I didn't argue as I was only staying for a night to attend a friend's wedding.
Decent boutique hotel , bad business practice.

Good and bad points. Starting with the negative points - the room did not get cleaned until around 4.30 and even 7.30 on one occasion. This was an inconvenience since we were returning and wanted to relax in the room. We were there for a week and on 2 of the days our room got cleaned during the time we were out. Although the booking was for one of the many windowless rooms, I personally found a week was too long without natural light. Also the previous guest's toenail clippings remained on the carpet for the time we were there, yuk! On a positive note the breakfast was good. There is a menu to choose from. Vegetarians can ask not to have the meat. There is fruit and toast which you help yourself to. The restaurant menu for lunch/dinner was not displayed so we didn't go there until our last night when it was raining. The veggie pizzas were outstanding. The staff are friendly and helpful. They booked bus tickets, arranged taxis and printed an e-ticket for us. The location is excellent. If you go left out the back to the 2nd bridge, you are at Jonker Street. The hotel is 15 minutes by taxi from Melaka Sentral bus station.

The decoration is pretty good, which could be ancient style. However, the quilt was not so clean as yellow spots were seen on it. Moreover, there was a funny and kind of unpleasant smell in the room, which could be from the wood furniture. The hotel locates next to the Malacca River and it was really nice to walk along the river. Last but not least, the hotel staff are very friendly and well trained.
2.5
Love the location and the cozy ambience of the hotel.
