Only stayed one night at the end of our trip, but the room was super spacious with an amazing balcony overlooking the beach. Staff were super helpful too when I cut my foot and it needed to be disinfected and dressed.

Very nice beach front resort, old but functional room, nice bed, balcony, shower with hot water, cleaning every day. View of the ocean and sunset... loved it there, so much I came back after a week for a few more days!

Excellent stay so far at Siam Beach Resort right on the shore of lonely beach.
I am travelling solo and have enjoyed my time here in Koh Chang so much I booked an extra few days.
The hotel is currently constructing new huts in the middle of the resort so some building work is happening early in the morning but otherwise the resort is great.
Good breakfast choices, food in the restaurant is also good but it closes at 9PM only downside.
Beds are very comfortable in large rooms but the hot water is not great in the shower - a minor point in a place like Koh Chang.
There are lots of Geckos clearing the bugs away as it is a tropical island, but I have had no bugs in the room bar mosquitos which the gecko deals with.

This resort is nothing luxurious but very ok. Basics are ok but everything is just a bit worn out. In room A104 wifi did not work well as the signal was very weak so that was a bit of a struggle. Breakfast was also a bit simple and staff was slow to fill missing items. At the time of visit it seemed that most of the customers were russian. The walk to Lonely beach center is tough along hilly road avoiding all the cars and motorbikes.

Old, tired, outdated. Badly in need of a refurb. Everything in the resort in a poor state of repair. No mosquito net over bed and doors had gaps letting in mosquito. I would not recommend anyone stay here. Barely a one star standard

Right on the beautiful white beach close to shopping and food. A casual beach feel that has been renovated. This is a relaxing casual beach resort, not luxurious hotel. It is a great value for the money. The rooms are big, with great views and recently renovated that are still beach rustic. The beauty about Koh Chang (elephant island) is that it requires a ferry to get there. This is fun but keeps the amount of visitors low and keeps the old charming island feel.

I love this hotel, I think so far my favourite of all where I´ve been to in Thailand, excellent location right in front of a beautiful, quiet (we almost felt like it was our private beach for the little amount of people and cleaniness), beautiful beach. We would wake up every morning, sit right in front of the sea, have breakfast (which was also good and full of options, changing something every day) and then we would go down on the beach. The staff was very friendy, although some did not understand english very well. Excellent price-quality ratio. Really the ONLY thing I have to complain is the mattress, rock hard, as in many places in thailand. After first night i asked for extra pillows and a mattress topper, however only got the pillows (wasnt sure if they simply didnt understand me or just didnt have toppers). If they changed the mattresses to softer ones (or use toppers) i would give this place full 5 stars on everything! As a plus there are also about 4-5 regular friendly and clean dogs going around in the beach working as monkey watchers. We made friends with them all during the time we spent on this beach. Special thanks from me and my boyfriend to the awesome twins whose names we forgot to ask! Excellent service!

In short - the hotel is a bit rough round the edges. Its needs a good paint job in the open areas and a tidy up, but the rooms and pool are excellent. I paid $30 per night for this room in mid october and it was great value for money. The location is the best on the island. You have peace and tranquility on the beach which is directly in front of the hotel (you will walk right onto it from your room) but you can walk 10 minutes to the village where there are loads of great restaurants and bars. The breakfast is basic but adequate. Eggs, cereals, fruit, thai, etc but that was fine for me. I hear it is worth paying a little more for the villas if you can afford.

My girlfriend and I decided to splash out on a pool villa for the last couple of nights of a 3 week trip around S E Asia. The website pictures made the price we paid for the room look an absolute steal. Turns out the pictures are very well taken and hide a number of 'rough around the edges' blemishes. Overall, it was a nice private resort on a good stretch of beach fairly close to the bars and restaurants of Lonely Beach. Unfortunately, having stayed in some of the grander accommodation in Klong Prao beach, this felt like a backpackers hotel that had been dressed up to attract a different market.. and somewhat failed. It is clearly one of the top resorts of the area and will suit many people staying around there. We didn't eat in the restaurant other than breakfast which was largely disappointing.
