Dated hotel with poor, uninspiring facilities. Small gym with quite a bit of kit out of order and no water bottles in the room.

Lovely welcome when we arrived. Very helpful staff. Room was amazing, clean and comfortable.
Shower is better than our own lol

Staff are nice and the hotel is very nice, there's just no lounge to go to when you wanted to relax while socialising.

Air conditioning in the room wasn’t working and I couldn’t open any windows. The floor boards were squeaky too. The wall from the reception to the room was quite the journey, certainly got my steps up with this stay. Breakfast was really good I have to say. Price was over inflated from my experience.

Stayed 1 week in a family room. We experienced a rude lady staff member who was to help us reset the blurry TV screen. The bathroom always smelt of urine and most of all the air conditioner wasn't consistent. We felt as if we were a pain in the butt but not after paying over a £1200 to have a decent place to stay with my family. We had to change rooms since the air conditioner was not working. The lady staff member with a short hair cut who came to help us fix the broken TV asked if we moved from the initial room because of the air conditioner. She rudely stated that "other customers will be fine without an air conditioner in the room," making us feel as if we were troublesome. The shower leaked & split water all over to the front of the WC floors.
Coming from the USA, I wouldn't recommend this run down Hilton to anyone. The advantage is the convenience to the stadium and shops around.
To pay for such run down crappy accommodations isn't only a rip off but not appropriate. The hotel walls in the entrances are dirty. Shout out to Jackie the house keeper.
Overall, I regret booking a place like that for a week. The first front desk man tall and heavy set wasn't the nicest from day one. The hotel rooms are not chronologically designed so it was a nightmare the night we checked in to find the room and had to go up and down the halls before finding it. Also, the lift was broken the entire time we were there.
Worse Hilton ever!!!

Lifts not working

The staff were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Really friendly and a credit to the company. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. However, it was a hot August night with no windows to open and a very very poor air conditioning system. We were moved from our first room as it didn’t work at all and then the one that was ‘working’ was totally ineffective. It felt very claustrophobic and stuffy. We also had our dog with us. The room location was a long way from the front door and I probably wouldn’t recommend it for being dog friendly for that reason.
Restaurant staff and meal were excellent and the breakfast was lovely too.

Tired , dirty and isolated .
Would never use again.

The room was smelly/musty, carpets were stained and dirty. Corridors are in desperate need of painting! I would not recommend this hotel unless it was £30 per night as thats all its worth..

Not what I expected from double tree. Pretty average hotel.

As I entered, loud music from a live jazz band was playing. This made it more difficult to hear the staff member at front desk.
Apparently the room they'd meant to have been playing in had flooded, so they had to play near the main lobby.
Additionally, the lift was broken, so I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs to the 2nd floor each and every time.
Staff were nice but the hotel was not great.
The main room I was given had a lot of space, which was not really used, except for a small table and a couple of chairs which sat looking a bit awkward in the middle. But then it had a very compact bathroom, which didn't make sense given the size of the main room.

The hotel is under a refurb. But basic amenities should still function. However, the tv was out of service (broken signal box), the wifi didn’t work and there was a weird smell on the entire floor (something between a brewery and a lot of weed smoking).
Breakfast was fine, but not great. Staff were kind, but mostly seemed disengaged.

Very clean and comfortable stay. This was our first time at Double Tree by Hiton. We would definitely recommend.

Staff could not have been more helpful!

Booked two accessible rooms with pitch views. Upon arrival, told we have been allocated different rooms due to "dangerous" aircon problem. Moved to a mazzanine floor not accessible by elevator, with no pitch view and with broken aircon (but given a fan).
I was told hotel was fully booked and there was no other rooms available. Was not offered a reduction on cost or given any "free" perks (other than a cookie) to compensate for the inconvenience and for the worst night sleep in a room that was too hot (fan did nothing).
Breakfast was very good.

Amazing hotel connected to the Coventry Building Society Arena. Managed to check in early and unexpectedly got a free room upgrade. The room was astoundingly spacious, with two large beds, and a large area for lounge sitting. The bathroom could have been bigger given the space, but it was perfectly adequate even so! The hotel was clean and quiet throughout the stay, and the breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice, served in a stylish breakfast room. The staff were super friendly and helpful; can't fault them at all. Only nitpicks, the lift was being refurbished, which wasn't helpful when we had a lot of luggage, but staff helped bring our bags up, so can't complain; also the conditioner in the shower was empty, which had been missed during housekeeping, so we had to request another bottle, which we received fairly quickly. All in all, would recommend for the location to a shopping area and its arena connection.

It’s like a rabbit warren, and the staff seem to be on another planet (and pretty hopeless ). The main gripe was that the shower didn’t work at all, the rooms overly warm and stuffy, and the air conditioning barely functioned. All in all, a poor hotel.

Very nice stay

Staff were incredibly lovely and helpful, the room was generally good, beds were comfy there were just a few mould marks in the shower and the plug in the sink didn't work either other than that everything was absolutely fine.

I am traveling for work very often but this stay was literally a stay from hell. I arrived at the hotel, checked in, and that was the only good experience I had. When I went to the room, I found out that the room, which cost me £200 per night, was just a dump. It was very dated and scruffy, with old furniture, dirty walls, and carpets. The toilet paper holder was damaged, so the paper kept falling on the floor. The view was of a stadium which I did not mind, but there was a football game until 10:30 PM, with very loud shouting and the sounds of the whistle. It went quiet around 11 PM, so it was not so terrible, but it was definitely a disadvantage.
My card kept getting deactivated, and I had to go to the reception twice to have it sorted.
I went for dinner at the Anactode. It was terrible. I ordered steak with tomato and mushrooms. About 40 minutes later, I saw the staff trying to flog one of the steaks with beans and peas instead of tomato and mushroom. There were no takers for it, so it went back to the kitchen. About 10 minutes later, I asked if I would get my steak anytime soon. The waiter asked me if I ordered greens instead of tomato and mushroom, to which I said "no, I did not." And guess what? 10 minutes later, the dinner with the greens landed on my table. It was lukewarm and just not tasty. I didn't say anything because I was fed up with the place.
I paid for breakfast, but was not on the list. Lady let me in after I showed her confirmation but again bad experien

Great room looking out over football pitch.

Bathroom had brown stains in the sinkand around plug hole
Shower was moldy and dirty
Bathroom door was broken on the bottom of the wood
Bedroom floor had a massive stain in the middle of it
The lift didnt work the whole weekend we were there and staff didnt care or help and we had a person with us with limited mobility
We payed a premium to stay in a Hilton and the nova hotel was £200 cheaper with cleaner snd better rooms
So disappointed with our stay for our corporate herbalife event
Wpuld expect a refund it was so bad

WiFi in the room was very bad, room dark and cold, no body wash, gym needs maintenance, breakfast was mediocre, very expensive for what are offering.

Some of the rooms are not accesable without using stairs. This should be made clear as I would have requested another room due to mobility issues.

Staff were lovely and very accommodating and the price seemed good but the room wasn’t particularly clean. Dust everywhere, stains on carpet, dirt and mould in bathroom and tomato sauce on tv remote. Room itself was spacious and facilities good, just let down a little. Breakfast had a good choice and service good but all the hot food (except sausages) was lukewarm at best.

I was told parking is available but I wasn't informed that I had to pay £10. This wasn't a problem but I wish I was informed beforehand.

No rooms with shower available so moved hotels and no offer to pay for taxi. Member of staff on duty was lovely and went out their way to try and help though. Expected more from the Hilton and had to pay out £35.00 in taxi fares.

The hotel room was very worn, and ice cold upon arrival. The shower pressure was so poor and no hot water. The iron and hairdryer were both broken. Breakfast had no eggs, apparently no gas, guessing why I also had no hot water. Not what I expect from a Hilton and I would not stay here again.

We stayed on the night of a football game. . The reception staff seemed very suspicious of us when we arrived and then when we came back down to reception after visiting our room. I think they must of thought we were football fans trying to sneak in or something. Just felt very uncomfortable.

My stay was good, But checking to the hotel was bit crazy in the reception, the couldn’t see my booking from hotel.com but they could see my booking from Expedia . It’s take hours before it’s resolved. The room I booked for was not given to me, they give another room. My booking came with breakfast, I only have one breakfast on Sunday, Monday I was not allowed for breakfast my name was not on the list, honestly what I paid I didn’t get the service I deserve. I paid for two nights including breakfast, and the room I booked was not the room they have. I was not impressed with the toilet of the room. My stay in the hotel was not really satisfied. And I went there to spend my birthday with my partner.
4.0
Friendly reception staff, nice clean room, but struggled to get hot water in the sink. Also wasn't impressed by the information in the room regarding food availability - one single sheet hidden in a corner, so I had to go back to Reception to ask what was available.
10.0
Lovely clean hotel with very friendly staff. The room was modern and very comfortable. Only complaint was the distance from the stairs/lift to the room but that is only a minor downside.
5.0
Was greeted in reception by helpful staff that upgraded our room free of charge, parking was easy and the reception helped with paying for it and explaining everything we needed to know.
Room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds, only downside was that the bathroom was an odd shape and had signs that there may have previously been a mould problem around the bath.
We visited the Anecdote bar in the evening which is a nice bar with a good selection of beers and the food was decent.
I paid extra for breakfast in the morning which is worth the price, there was plenty on offer, was well cooked and good quality.
All in all I would highly recommend staying here if you are going to a game as we was as attending game is very easy due to the proximity of the ground to the hotel.

room clean and tidy, had valuables with me so need to put these in the safe but not working. Phoned desk to get maintenance to reset, told sorry they have several safes in the same situation awaiting new ones. So i had to buy a bum bag to carry my valuables around with me for the 2 day stay. Went to have a shower no pressure or hot water, so had a bath tried to empty the bath could not drain the water. Reported to reception who reported to have fixed. Staff very good gave me a free complementary breakfast.

Slightly higher than a good ibis hotel, pictures were a little deceiving and cleanliness was not as good as stated in the description. Nice room layout and comfortable bed.
3.0
Noise coming from the warehouse or company opposite the car park. Central heating system not functioning properly, had to ask for electric heater
6.0
Stiff parking costs, noisy room heating, noisy neighbours, curtains falling off their runner. Below double tree usual standard.
Great staff and a superficially nice room let down by niggles
